    Fantastic. Quick question/possible request.
    I'm still very much working my way through your videos from the beginning up to current, so not sure if it's covered.
    I was just wondering if you have suggestions for best value wood glue, what type of screws to use with pallets etc.
    If you can source the wood for free then the only real expense is screws, glue, treatment and tips on what and not to use would be awesome given your experience.

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching the videos I'm glad you are finding them useful. Best value wood glue I would suggest everbuild 502. That's a decent glue for the money in my opinion. When working with pallets generally I'm not too fussy about the screws I use. Most of them are salvaged from old furniture that I find thrown out. Although, I would say if building something for outside...stay away from drywall screws. A standard wood screw or decking screw is better for outdoors. I tend to use mainly water based stains because they dry faster. I might make a video about this stuff in the future so thanks for the ideas. Hope this helps.

      @@PhillWyattProjects A great help, thank you. I don't want to buy too cheap and then have to buy twice but at the same time, pay over the odds for things that may not out-perform or be worth the extra spend. I love the idea of reusing the screws from reclaimed items too.
      At the moment I've just got a random bunch of screws from a drill my handed down to me and a box of dry-wall screws. I'll keep them for indoor items.
      A toy chest and a book stand/storage combo is something I'd like to have a go at for my little boy, so hopefully the drywall screws would be okay for those.
      I really appreciate your quick replies and the good amount of advice and help in them. Thank you very much 👍

    Nothing wrong with that buddy. Got yourself a garden bench that will outlast plenty of commercially available benches, a sharper set of skills for next time and you weren’t sat in front of the telly. And it cost you very little.

    What a great project to use if you have some scrap wood around. With the cost of wood nowadays, nice to see a project using wood that you have laying around your workshop/garage!
    I think I just found my latest project for me to build.
    BTW, Do you know what are the overall dimensions?
    Keep up the great job!
