Yea I believe this was Seattle 89'? I absolutely agree with you, they were at their highest peak back then. Such an amazing show, I would give my left arm to travel back in time and see them myself.
Fun to see someone with such enthusiasm & open mindedness in discovering & appreciating arguably the greatest metal band of all time. Please keep it up, great job! Some recommended Metallica live classics: One, Fade to Black, Master of Puppets, For Whom the Bell Tolls. Also check out the music videos for their current songs Spit Out the Bone & Halo on Fire. They still got it!
+darchon5, as for the song "For Whom The Bell Tolls", If I had to pick a version, it would be the Live version from the Day On The Green show in 1985, if any performance of any song did Cliff Justice, it was that song from that show. Also I should add that Metallica thought very hard to get the rights to use The Day On The Green footage for their then video tape "Cliff em All", as to me that live performance was the icing on the cake to that DVD as well as being a cool way to show off Cliff Burton.
darchon5 yes it is but it's sad it's been 34 years since their 1st album that blew so many people's minds but also scared so many away with the crazy rumours parents hears about an in the 80's thinking it's all devil worshipping instead of what it really was and is some of the most talented and meaningful music with a purpose in all their songs that spoke up for alot of different real issues and reality that nobody wanted to talk about cuz it don't affect them personally. they're 1 of the most important bands in not just metal evolution but all music in so many ways besides their dominant sound with James somehow only down picking on the strings in so many riffs that I sweat my ass off trying to do cheating after years of trying to play their old stuff
I just found you last night and watched about 2 hours of your videos. Your reactions to Metallica are very similar to mine. Been a fan of theirs forever and I LOVE it when people "discover" them and get the feels.
Metallica is true to the roots. Obviously when Burton died it took a while to get the bass player.. he is so missed today still!!! But they pressed through and still are standing., I’m so proud of them!
Seattle '89 is perhaps going to go down as one of the most legendary performances of Metallica ever captured on film. Unquestionably in their prime, crushing every one of their songs, Lars actually hitting his Hi Hat all the time.. Jesus Christ did Jason inject a ton of energy into his performance! I can only dream of having been able to see that tour... it will be the stuff of legends.
Not as much anymore. These guys are in their 50's now but the new album shows that musically, they still got it. The song Spit Out The Bone is off the new album.
Haunting History Not really. Their musical endeavours have gone down the crapper for years now. New album had one really good song on it, the one you mentioned. But that's about it. Other stuff feels like filler.
11DNA11 to each their own. While I do admit there are a few songs that are fillers the album is good. Plus I'm sure it could have been heavier if Kirk didn't lose his phone. lol
11DNA11 Saying hardwired has Just one good Song Is just wrong, come on. I Can count at least 7 or 8 song that stick to the head. To each their own i Guess.
The opening to this song is one of the most beautiful yet chilling things I've ever heard. To me it sounds like pure heartache and agony. As if someone is weeping.
You ROCK \m/ Glad to see another fresh new face discovering metal. Thank you for sharing your interest in metal as well reactions. Look forward to so much more. Thanks again!
I am so glad you chose this for a reaction video. I was at the Rochester concert from this tour, and yes, I feel bad that you were not around to have witnessed this first-hand in an arena. Shortly after this tour, they cut their hair and mellowed out BIG-time. I prefer to listen and watch them from back in the days when they were hungrier...and angrier. LOL! Rock on, Pink Metalhead! Have a Happy 2018!
Some of their new stuff like Spit out the Bone is fire. A reaction to that would be awesome. No way they could play that live though its a studio song.
bri bro actually they can still jam like this,i seen them live last month and they put on the best show I'll ever see, everything was on point and on time and they played the show as if they was still in their 20's
"I seen them" and "as if they was" are all I see in that attempt to communicate. Forgive me if English is your second language otherwise please pass a grade school grammar test before you share your thoughts, thanks.
Always great to see someone relatively new to metal kind of falling in love with the music. Welcome to the family. The one rule is simple: EVERY DAMN ONE OF US has your back for life!
I'm so glad that I found your channel! Not a lot of people in my life enjoy metal so it's great to see others appreciate the music that i love ^.^ I also follow weeaboreacts and it's great that you both decided to kind of ignore that stereotype of metal being scary and satanic haha. I think a lot of people would actually enjoy metal if they went into it with an open mind like you did :] P.S. I recommend that you check out the 1989 Seattle and 1992 San Diego Metallica concerts in their entirety. Im sure everyone is going to want you to react to each song separately though so they can see all of your reactions! I'm excited to watch your metal journey!! -A new sub :)
Hey, thanks for your comment! It's so sad that some people have preconceived notions about metal...but it's just as awesome as any of the other genres...probably even more awesome ;D Thx for the suggestions:)
A lot of that scary Satanicness is fake, anyway, just theatrics. For the most part. I mean, sure, you have the bands that are legit Satanists, but most are just for show.
i was 14 about 20 feet from the barricade at the And justice for all show...they opened the show with blackened...the most amazing live music experience i've probably ever had
My first time seeing Metallica was at the Monsters of Rock show in Dallas in 1988. We were the first people in the world to hear "Harvester of Sorrow" performed live ... That was such an awesome show. It was a 5 band concert too. The order they appeared was: 1. Kingdom Come 2. Metallica 3. Dokken 4. The Scorpions 5. Van Halen My friend and I were at the very front, and when Metallica hit the stage, EVERYONE rushed the stage, and my friend and I were crushed. My friend couldn't even breathe, so we were passed over people over the barricade, and we watched most of Metallica's performance from backstage.
Hi Pink Metal Head! Such a pleasure to watch a young lady of your generation react with such honest feeling to the music I have loved for more decades then I want to admit to! I hope you let all your friends and family in on the big metal secret! :-) I would like to make a suggestion for your reaction that I am very sure you will love. A band that practically defines the metal genre, who still belts out live shows all over the world, after decades and decades they are still going strong. A band with the most dynamic lead singer in metal, a man with opera quality vocal range. Iron Maiden. Start with El Dorado from their live DVD En Vivo just to be a little different. Bruce Dickinson will blow your mind, as he takes over the entire stage with his presence and his awesome "air raid siren" vocal power. th-cam.com/video/xMlaFD3s-1s/w-d-xo.html BTW, not only does Bruce rule the stage, he is also the only singer I know of that is also the pilot for his own bands's 757 jet. No lie, check out the entire En Vivo DVD or Flight 666 to see the man in uniform. Happy Headbanging!
seen the "And Justice" tour.. was 3 hrs and 30 minutes of straight intensity... you left the concert literally feel like you got ran a marathon.. so intense, so good.. no band has ever come close live
Metallica back in their prime were legendary, and I was lucky enough to have seen them live back in the '90s. I know things have changed, people get old and eventually have to pass the torch to someone else, but back then they had the world at the palm of their hands. They were the best at what they did.
This is one hell of a Journey @PinkMetalhead and its just starting, from Classic Rock to heaviest of Heavy Metal, good bands, Guitar Gods (ex. Steve Vai, Yngwie), To Technical Progy Stuff (ex. Haken, Dream theater, Tool...). Good luck having the greatest time of your life, like we all have been through :D. more power!
I was about 3 maybe 4 years old when injustice for all came out and my eldest sister brought on record and let me listen to it and at that point I was hooked on metal and I still am to this day
Steve Wohlford Metallica was a great band back then. But they are a even better band now. They are more aware of how to please people now. It’s not about just going fast all the time. They have a huge list of great songs that they can pull out anytime they want. But I guess you one of those that think bands are supposed to never change. They all change if they stay around long enough. And in Metallica’s case they changed for the better. They are one of if not the biggest metal bands ever. And you do not become that by staying in the same rut you start in.
Internet Pirate. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but if they remastered it today with Hardwired's production it'd be a hell of a lot better.
Blackened could very well be the one of the best metal songs ever created. I saw them play it live from the snakepit in Toronto JUly 2017, I will never forget that night for the rest of my life.

Hey there Pink, It looks like you've been doing this show for awhile now. I'm so happy for you getting into the metal bands. Especially Metallica. I am 50 now. Still love my Metallica. I was so in my prime when they were. My question for you is , have you done a reaction to Sanitarium? I would be fascinated to see your reaction to that one. It is amazing as all of the others. Have a great day and metal on🤘
I saw this show live in March '89 in Hampton, Va. It was awesome! I've even still got the shirt I bought back then. Queensryche opened the show. It was awesome! Metallica is awesome live!! New metal is not Metallica. They really are the standard every other band wants to be. I really like your opinions. Nice to see the younger crowd appreciate the roots.
For a more recent awesome performance of a old song...Ride the Lightning Quebec Magnetic @ Mexico City (The 6:44 minute version, the other version is with a tuning room intro) (Awesome visual too)
I was there front row when it all happened.... Sweet concert! Back when it was the Seattle Center Colosseum general admission seating and they didn't pull the beer taps and serve latte's like Key arena does now.
I stumbled across your channel by accident. I love seeing people's first reaction to the music I love only slightly more than I do classical. I liked to have you react to the Cliff Burton Anesthia/Pulling Teeth bass solo live '83. He was and still is the a major influence on Metallica. Subbing now.
Im curious how you are choosing these songs to review because your taste is EXCELLENT! It's like you are going through my list of all time favorite songs by my favorite bands. When I start work in a New home I this is my tune to get me going.
Great vid.. remember seeing them first in 96 but these shows from 89' pshhh 😯 how unbelievably tight they were!..would have loved to seen the justice tour as opposed to load lol
So cool seeing someone as young as you enjoying Metallica and my generation of music, my wife is 10 years younger than me and I can’t get her into any of my music lol
Nice reaction, I saw them in 94 in Middletown,NY with Danzig and Suicidal Tendencies. After the "reload" album in 96 or 97 I gave up on them. The only song I remember after that is St.Anger and didnt care for it much. I still listen to the old Metallica alot.👍
As a Metallica fan, I recommend that you watch year and 1/2 documentary, Cliff em All, Binge and Purge live concerts, Symphony and Metallica, and "Through the Never" motion picture. On your own free time of course no reaction insisted from me :) \m/
For me, this show is Metallica at their absolute peak. If you have the time, watch the entire concert you will not be disappointed.
Damn straight..will always see these guys like this in my minds eyes long after they are gone..
Yea I believe this was Seattle 89'? I absolutely agree with you, they were at their highest peak back then. Such an amazing show, I would give my left arm to travel back in time and see them myself.
They were at their peak with Cliff
💯
I love how people are still discovering Metallica and it proves how timeless their music is.

I was saying that it is one of their best songs from their newest album, and they're going strong after all these years, sorry if you disagree.
I'm so glad that you mentioned how intense this was compared to the newer "metal" that is out now. You are legit a great listener.
I was there in 1989. Awaesome show !!!
Enrique Basto dude... I wish I could go back in time and see it
Enrique Basto I went to the one in Philly Queensryche opened up great show
You're lucky guy!

its just the greatest performance of probably one of greatest 3-4 songs in metal history amazing energy and power
Hi again PinkMetalhead! I'm so happy I found your channel the other day. So awesome your digging this music!
She wasn't readyyyyy!!!
Bahahaha!
Do they still get down like that? Because that performance was intense!!! haha

hahaha you are so incredibly adorable :) I mean that in the least creepy way possible. Weren't ready for the old school Metallica, I get it LOL.
Aw thx! Don't worry...I've gotten some REAL creeps on here. And is newer Metallica more tame/mellow?
They were in their prime back then. Young, hungry and on fricking fire. They can't jam like this anymore but that's understandable :)
Some of their new stuff like Spit out the Bone is fire. A reaction to that would be awesome. No way they could play that live though its a studio song.

This whole concert is amazing! I feel like you can pick any song from that performance and be blown away.
Personally I feel the studio version is better... That aside, you're super cute
Thank you :)
Agreed
100 % Agreed
Studio is better?😑
So true

Metallica inspired...😊🤘
Love the reactions you have in your videos . It reminds me when I first started listening to metal . ROCK ON !
React to Metallica - Creeping Death Live Moscow 1991
Just do these:
Creeping Death: Moscow 91'
Whiplash - 89'
Battery 89'
For Whom The Bell Tolls - 89'
Seek and destroy - 89'
Came to suggest the same performance. Incredible show
Definitely react to Battery from Seattle, that was an insane performance from Lars
Vladimir Matijevic i
I would recommend Harvester of Sorrow from Moscow 91 too
i was 14 about 20 feet from the barricade at the And justice for all show...they opened the show with blackened...the most amazing live music experience i've probably ever had
Metallica - The Four Horsemen
The fact that he suggested blackened from Seattle 89 was awesome. That was such a fuckin awesome show and blackened is one of their best songs ever
You should do the "One" music video from Metallica! Its such a beautiful song with an interesting story and killer solo!
This is my favorite reacts channel because you actually get the point of the music and a lot of what goes with it.
Never seen a black girl listening to Metallica before....but u do though and thats awesome!!

Damn, I was at that show, and it was amazing! Greetings from Chile!
PinkMetalHead we need to have metal babies together🤘🤘

That songs badass to play on guitar hero! Lol!
seen the "And Justice" tour.. was 3 hrs and 30 minutes of straight intensity... you left the concert literally feel like you got ran a marathon.. so intense, so good.. no band has ever come close live

Metallica gives 100% every song, every time. Their intensity is off the roof
Thing that should not be same show
Definitely!
Yes, please! So heavy
Oh fuck yeah!
2 million people in attendance at that concert in the very beginning. Fucking legends!
React to Whiplash from Germany's Metal Hammer Festival 1985 :)
Your appreciation of the classics in Metal - Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera......it's fantastic and I really love your reactions.
Great job.
Ahhhh, when Metallica were metal.
Still are
nah
joe dirt Yes
Always will be
Steve Wohlford Metallica was a great band back then. But they are a even better band now. They are more aware of how to please people now. It’s not about just going fast all the time. They all change if they stay around long enough. And in Metallica’s case they changed for the better. They are one of if not the biggest metal bands ever. Another great reaction. And just so you know, your smile brightens up the whole damn internet 😉.
A cutie that likes metal?? Damn
Fun fact, the intro sounds the same played forwards or backwards. Pure genius.
funny how you go to lars instantly as the top guy.
Oh if only you knew what St. Anger was
Jack Rota nobody deserves to endure that shit.
-T-X-M- St anger is the farthest thing from it. More like disasterpiece.
-T-X-M- I did lose something when I heard that album.....a will to live because it was so shit.
Internet Pirate. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but if they remastered it today with Hardwired's production it'd be a hell of a lot better.
Internet Pirate. To each their own but calm down Edge Lord
Blackened could very well be the one of the best metal songs ever created. I saw them play it live from the snakepit in Toronto JUly 2017, I will never forget that night for the rest of my life.
You should react to some Gojira, the song "The Gift of Guilt" Live at Brixton Academy, London, is amazing.
Your open mind is an absolute glass of delicious lemonade. You have yourself a subscriber.
And justice for all the last good Metallica album.
Internet Pirate. Incorrect bro
load riffs are so sick 2x4 ain't my bitch sorry sir but you're wrong and dont forget the black album too
VGC HUSKY yeah I'd rather forget about the black album.
VGC HUSKY and load for that matter.
Internet Pirate. Nah man last good album for you
Everyone else digs the black album and the newer albums
So you can get on your hate train and derail off to another place :)
That half time riff in this particular concert literally makes me want to stomp around so hard
So beautiful u r
Thank you :)
this was the first metallica song i heard too - when it came out and i was in 5th grade. i still remember the chills it gave me. love your vids.
btw, it’s a lot clearer on the album version.
your intro is way too long
No prob :) I'll cut it!
That's what she said.
Screw you I'm going home
I know. If only we could fast-forward the video somehow.
Everything you said, after the song.... truer words have never been spoken! Remember boys and girls, old Metal rules, period.
Harvestor of sorrow Live in Moscow to a crowd of 500,000. Epic! Favorite song by metallica.
Tough and hungry, yeah? Pure testosterone! That's what I started Metallica with 25 years ago. And still in love with it!
Hey there Pink,
It looks like you've been doing this show for awhile now.
Wow! The triple threat. Beautiful, loves metal, and very nice. New subscriber for sure!😄
For a more recent awesome performance of a old song...Ride the Lightning Quebec Magnetic @ Mexico City (The 6:44 minute version, the other version is with a tuning room intro) (Awesome visual too)
great reaction :)
this is one of my all time favourite Metallica songs...glad you liked it too!
I was there front row when it all happened.... Sweet concert! Back when it was the Seattle Center Colosseum general admission seating and they didn't pull the beer taps and serve latte's like Key arena does now.

Awesome that you dig metal .. the justice tour was my first Metallica concert ive seen them 17 times since then !! Thumbs up 👍🏼
your reaction to the solo was so real! I forgot how amazing is the solo in tnis song
I'll never forget the first time I heard Blackened!!! YOU ROCK BTW!
Im curious how you are choosing these songs to review because your taste is EXCELLENT! It's like you are going through my list of all time favorite songs by my favorite bands. When I start work in a New home I this is my tune to get me going.
You are discovering the BEST METAL BAND thats nice BLACKENED!
I dont smoke, drink or do drugs But when I saw Metalica in 1989 I was on such a natural I did not sleep for three days.
I'm jealous. I wish I could hear these awesome metal bands for the first time again. Stay Metal! \m/
Pinkmetalhead, new fan to your channel, enjoy your videos and reactions.
Thanks for watching Tony 🤗
Saw Them in 89 on their 1st headlining tour. They opened w/ this tune. You should check out King Diamond "Welcome Home"
Metallica call of ktulu with the San Francisco symphony. Absolutely amazing. Adds several new layers to the song.
That's right ! They are the band! 1988 and 1989! One of their best albums! .And Justice For All!
That whole concert is the one of the best performances of all time
My favorite Metallica song. I highly recommend Disposable Heroes if you haven't heard it already. That's my 2nd favorite Metallica song.
Glad you liked it! Metallica is easily my favorite band of all time!
I'd recommend the whole Seattle '89 concert lol, another good one is Nothing Else Matters live Mexico City '93
Great vid.. remember seeing them first in 96 but these shows from 89' pshhh 😯 how unbelievably tight they were!..would have loved to seen the justice tour as opposed to load lol
We love you pink metal head :)
That's what it looks like when musicians WORK.. :) best Metallica concert ever Irvine meadows 1989 (same concert different place).. glad you liked it
I don't know what's hotter, you or your love of metal .
Tense! Great word to express the song performance!!! The ENTIRE show was aggressively tense and awesome!!!!
So cool seeing someone as young as you enjoying Metallica and my generation of music, my wife is 10 years younger than me and I can’t get her into any of my music lol
I can't stop staring at your eyes 😍 rock on pinkmetalhead!
If you are fan now, you got to see them live, hopefully you had a chance on their last tour, check out the Memory Remains
Why do you watch so many live versions of songs? The studio cuts are twice as heavy! Gorgeous
I wasn't at that concert, but one on that tour. And I couldn't hear for a couple of days
first saw them on Damaged Justice tour, seen many other bands and Metallica several times after, but Damaged Justice, best show ever
2017 and you haven't heard blackened?!?! I'm so sorry to hear that
As a Metallica fan, I recommend that you watch year and 1/2 documentary, Cliff em All, Binge and Purge live concerts, Symphony and Metallica, and "Through the Never" motion picture.
On your own free time of course no reaction insisted from me :) \m/
Loved the reaction. Everytime i watch the seattle 89 show it blows me away. God, fucking Metallica.
