  • Mummy Zee’s story is a reflection of how messed up our society is- Kimmy K | Pulse HotTakes
On this episode of Pulse Hot Takes, Elvis Christian, Chris, Kimmy K, and Ijeoma analyse the trending mummy Zee story.
They discuss whether or not her tweet stemmed from a place of being a good wife or from her insecurities.
They also share their thoughts on brands and people jumping on the trend to support mummy Zee, an action they termed performative.
They touched on some trending topics of the week: Davido and Tiwa Savage’s saga, Tacha’s reaction to the whole drama, and the lady who committed suicide due to the state of the economy.
Do you believe the brands and people rewarding mummy Zee are doing it for clout?
Do you also agree with Kimmy K that Davido is badly behaved?

@@harryjolly9084 It's not you that will tell me what I will find educative. If you don't find it so, okay but don't impose your thoughts on everybody.

    Really great analysis guys!
However I would need y'all to know that relationships are dynamic. Some of the things you said here are really correct logically but psychology and emotions vary from person to person and influences how people act and react to things.
If your child comes home and tells you he/she shared a classmates food, your reaction might be to beat the child at first but if you also don't feed the child before he/she leaves for school you would feel the need to start doing that.
I feel a certain "set" of people have been silenced way too much on social media (x majorly), and Mummy Zee was just an outlet these people used to express themselves.
And the part of "Men are oppressors" Lol. Our value really dropped like the naira- from protectors to oppressors!
Anyways to end this, i would like to add (respectfully, of course) that every body is entitled to their opinion and it just feels so wrong when you want the whole world to agree with your opinion at all cost. Generalizing stuff and bullying people that share a different opinion that doesn't cause harm to you in anyway is just wrong.

I also felt some kind of way about Miss Zee's tweet. I dont mind it if she said she wakes e up to cook for her husband because of how she loves him and bothers about him not getting good lunch at work but saying its because she worries someone will take him from her with food is so sad, laughable and crazy. Its worrisome really.

Everyone should focus on their home and do it however they want it.
Our parents and their parents never had all these opinions and they stayed married till a very old age. These excessive opinions are what break homes these days because they are standing as the 3rd person in people's homes...
If Mummy Zee wakes up that early to prepare food for her husband for his lunch so he won't eat out, is a genius move of a woman who loves her husband and is interested in building her home. Even the Bible says that a Good Woman Builds Her Home.
On some other situations where the husband sees a threat or something taking his wife away from him, he too will go extra mile to fight for his wife and for his family.
    Well what do I know?

😂😂You didn't know your parents' opinion because they didn't have anything like podcasts like this then. It's okay for you to want to uphold the status quo because it favours you. Not everybody wants the same thing so also deal with it too.

Our mothers were literally forced into marrying their husbands. There weren't any other options for them asides marriage thus they had no choices but to make it work. .they suffered in silence because nobody considered marital issues as relevant.
I'm so happy our generation is challenging all that today.

How do they go this extra mile? They clamp down on their wives. We have seen men burning their wives clothes because they think it draw men attention to them, chopping off their hairs because other men are eyeing their wives hairstyles. Stopping her from working, going out, visiting family, etc.
