Got the Ruger LCP Max recently, this came up as the second video when searching “Ruger LCP Max holster”. I’ll be comparing a few, but you’re in the lead rn!
I purchased this holster from Pyntek several months ago. I have the compact holster with the belt clip with the 10 degree cant for my LCP Max. I carry it at about 4:30 position everyday all day, including when I drive, or when I'm sitting in a chair or couch. It is completely comfortable. Sometimes I have to check to make sure I have it on because its so comfortable I can't even feel it. The caftsmanship, attention to detail, safety features, and retention ability are ALL top of the line. I highly recommend this holster.
Received mine. Best fit and finish of any Kydex holster I have used or seen. Very well designed. Holds the Ruger LCP max with a Armalaser like a champ. Kudos to your craftsmanship.
Just received this holster today and I am very happy with my purchase. I didn’t have to make any adjustments to the retention or the belt clip screws and the holster is very well made. I’ll be purchasing more holsters from Pyntek in the future.
I think the design of that holster is really good. I especially like the smooth edges and that it fits to the profile of the gun there against the body. That's a winning detail for me. Haven't got the Max yet. But I will.
I bough the Compact for my LCP Max about a year and a half ago and it it a great holster. Definitely has smooth edges like Mark mentions and he quickly answered some questions that I had about it and for some other pistols. I will be buying from him again for some upcoming guns.
Flush with bottom of trigger guard is excellent and an often-overlooked aspect. Lots of other holsters have material below and forward.....interferes with an emergency quick draw. That all said.....guns this small are candidates for pocket carry. Holsters like these shown otherwise work well with "Slightly" bigger guns.....like Hellcat, P365, EC9S, etc.
My recently purchased Max holster is my favorite one so far. Very nicely made and a perfect fit. I'd like to see a version with the ability to mount a (Mod or Dark) wing. Overkill perhaps, but it would be a game changer for concealment on those of us with small frames or folks that don't want to wear super loose shirts. I understand that it will compromise the overall rounded profile (comfort) of the gun that you work so hard to achieve, but still, that wing really helps. Thanks!
I’d would add an option to add a claw attachment for the LCP Max, however to make room to mount the claw I have to add about an 1/2” length to the holster. I do make claw equipped holsters for the Max, but since I have to add the extra length I’m not including that for the in-stock holsters.
@@baxrok2. Yes. When you order the wing is a selection choice, if you’d prefer a specific wing then add into comments. Otherwise I prefer the DIY wing as I find it to be the best overall and is what I use standard.
I'm trying desperately to find an LCP Max holster that will work in the PHLster Enigma. This is the only holster I've seen with two holes under the trigger guard, but they seem canted wrong to use a modwing... Could you make one that is slightly modified to take a modwing? I wouldn't mind adding some extra length to the kydex to accomodate. There just seems to be NOTHING that suits my needs on the market!
We should say something about the MAX 380.....good as it is.....that may be a concern. Let me explain. ---> We should fully understand the number of internal safeties the gun has compared to MOST modern plastic-framed guns that are often striker fired...pretty much started by Glock. The Glock safety system....by comparison....has 3 safeties, 1.) trigger blade ( which I feel is mostly useless), the striker-block safety ( good feature), and 3.) sear-lock safety that acts in tandem with the finger blade that prevents the trigger to be pulled at the wrong time. What does the MAX 380 have?....well, it's an internal hammer fired gun. So it has the trigger blade safety and nothing else. Ruger literature refers to it having a "serious" amount of sear engagement with a cocked hammer...THAT'S IT. Personally, I'd love to see thumb safety version of this gun. EC9S is that way, and so are versions of P365 and Hellcat, etc. (LATER EDIT.....it seems the LCP MAX *DOES HAVE* a half-cock notch that can arrest a "bumped-off" hammer when the trigger isn't depressed, in case that ever happens...so we're OK on that score ! ).
Looks like a fine piece. I like that there is no material "under-and-forward" the lower edge of the trigger guard. This allows all fingers to grip the gun better on the draw. To be fair.....I was looking at the equally minimalist Tulster holsters....but you got them beat for another feature I like.....your Kydex covers the mag release button to avoid accidental release, it looks like their's does not. And this gun has a habit of having that be a possible problem, with that button causing mag dumps at the wrong time...so that's a good feature you have. QUESTION---> would the double-belt loop model allow even more cant ( in both directions?) if we adjust where the holes are?...that would be great.
Will, you are right on. YES. The Lockdown holster with the double loops will allow for more angle adjustment, I find the loops move with your body and the holster settles in to the shape of your body nicely. I also include a second hole for more cant adjustment as well.
The craftsmanship on this holster looks great. I was just curious if this holster works well with pants that are drawstring? I tried pocket carry but I do not like the feeling of having things in my pocket hitting my legs while doing physical activities. This holster looks great and I am hoping it works well for that application. Thanks for your time.
I can't say with certainty how something designed for belts will work with no belt. If anything the Monoblock clip has more bite or I could make a holster with a Ulti-clip attachment. Look up Ulti-clips and if that is something you would like to try then email me at Pyntek@yahoo.com and we can make something that will work for you. I'm meaning to get Ulti-Clips added as an option to my website, not there yet.

That’s the largest negative for appendix carry, besides tying your shoes 👟, or getting on a motorcycle. Otherwise, for me at least, that’s really the only downside for appendix carry. Just have to suck it up, any position on the belt poses problems at some point. Just carry what’s most comfortable for your body and tolerance.

I don’t think a claw is necessary at all for small guns like the LCP Max personally. I think the claw helps balance weight on mid size to larger guns, especially with high capacity magazines as the claw keeps weight tight to the body and prevents the gun from wanting to flip out. The metal monoblock clip does the same thing as a regular clip, enough people requested it, so I added it as an option. I think some people just prefer metal, the split on the middle creates two contact points and I can see that may help keep it on the belt. It has a good reputation and I approve.
I do not. My opinion is they can become dangerous over time. If the material starts to delaminate and becomes loose, then it could create a situation where the trigger could get tangled up with felt, suede or whatever soft lining was inside.
