lulz, not much to see. i have better ideas to improve alot from safety to speedier tire change outs, driver situational awareness, jibber jabberless communication, and they never answered the question posed other than to say " well mate, there's all kinds of things we can do, but every track is different so there ya have it!"
the F1 interviewers have gotten more out of them if you're going to look for spycraft.

Back when I was slightly younger and played video games, one of my friends would want me to come over to setup his cars on Grand Turismo. He knew I always watched racing and wanted to be an automotive/racing Engineer. Now I know it was just a game, but I loved figuring out what did what in combination with everything else. I would spend hours on a particular track, making setup changes, and comparing the changes to my fastest lap (ghost car). I only liked racing games where you could change the setup...and no, one can't find the perfect setup for one will always be chasing it... IJS

@@mercian9425 Well, it's not really what you think. Things didn't go according to the original plans, but to sum it all up. I basically spend all my time trying to learn enough to self supply my societal needs (income).
Previously it was Web Design and 3D Design (Blender) with animations. Now it's the stock market (who knew)... IJS
Telemetry data was huge part for me liking F1 99-02 for ages. Tracks like A1 (Red Bull) Ring or Interlagos were ones that you could have absolute spectrum of setup and still be inside few tenths window just with different approach. Specially when worked with 'underpowered" 6 gear Minardi&stuff cars - could have more loose-goose rear end while for top-teams one wanted a bit more rear-end (just because engine reved higher with 7th gear).

What a wonderful description of the things that go behind the curtain. The technical aspects explained in such a simple manner makes it so easy to understand the sport better. F1 is indeed an ART of engineering. Also, it was good to see our legendary Bono 😎

It will be remembered for decades, it's the first real championship fight in 8 years excluding A teammate battle season.. I don't dislike Hamilton, but I do like the idea of an underdog who out of nowhere challenges the king for the championship and wins, right before regulation changes too!
@@ballaking1000 I feel LH is the underdog here. He’s battling the entire F1, majority of the pundits, all the drivers - including his teammate, all the hate directed at him, the bias media trying to discredit his achievements, ability & the list goes on. So Lewis is definitely the underdog here.

Sharing just enough that viewers get all around view about setups, without going into detail about pretty much anything which is understandable. These videos are still great content and throughly enjoy watching them.
Crazy to think Bono was engineer to Schumacher and then Hamilton. The man is a walking library of experience.
When i started watching F1, I was initially just enthralled by the speed of the cars, I didn't know any of the terms used in the sport, including the rules and regulations, but watching these videos has made me an even bigger fan. Thank you Mercedes

thanks. i think the halo needs an upgrade as a wrap mirror on the interior so drivers can see whose creeping up on them from behind and on the sides. doesn't have to be super big as a strip would work, the longer the more advantageous where it strategically displays more surrounding and provides better driver awareness at a glance. if not a mirror then proximity detection by sector LED's? red for danger close, orange for nearby occupied, yellow for incomming traffic in that direction. plus the halo LEDs could all flash solids for red flags, yellows for yellow flag, which is all cars were equipped, the FIA could just send out universal signal to all drivers immediately improving safety. hamilton seemed to really have a problem with not being able to see/awareness of other drivers or communication was not optimal this year it was very apparent to me in many races mid season, not just last lap abudahbi . i think hamilton is not used to this obstructing his view and it would explain alot of what bottas had to do this year ;) well played gents. not to knock hamilton, but he seems a bit long in the tooth despite being able to make moves, i think bottas was your new #1 performer, but oh well, that's gone. looking forward to seeing how much Russel can absorb and implement, i'm very impressed with his history retention, that's usually a good indicator of people who are going to listen and work on what you want them to do, and their drive to achieve it is pretty good from my experiences.

I know as a moto GP rider...when I drive a F1 car in a Sim the first thing I do is go out an check grip...an that wascthe amazing thing to me in the little half Sim I had the chance to use was...how well they had the grip...spot on to what it was for real...like Canada is a great track but it has no grip..like a 3 very wore out feeling....I can't imagine how the race teams Sims are almost accurate with real life...if a video game could get u close....
