Feeling bad for this kid, thrown in the cage against a way more skilled fighter that literally played tossing him around and having him a punching bag. He was clearly overwhelmed and he was great to resist until the end, hopefully is self confidence is still up and not ruined by this fight!
What are you talking? Did you ever made a fighting sport? Losing fights is the first thing you learn there and also, that any mistakes are in your only responsibility. And this means, you quickly learn to deal with a lose without breaking mentally. 😉
Sonny had over many times the much better technique. He just misses a bit of power for a longer endurance and maybe his will wasn't that big. Overall, both showed an excellent and fair fight. And Regan finally won for good reasons.
Sonney can use more upper body strength training, he needs muscle threat in both arms and someone tell Sonney, keep both arms up not just loosely hanging in midair. Sonney needed more training and more expereience before being tossed into the ring with this other boy, who clearly was the stronger of the two. Not a good match between equals, at all. Don't give up Sonney, even adults make mistakes.

Why shouldn't it be? If anything more boys should be encouraged to compete - I would have boxing classes and competitions in all schools. Hard young boys need to show what they're made of. Hopefully they will also appreciate poetry. These boys have trained hard and are doing nothing here that is inherently more dangerous than amateur rugby. They're showing that they can handle themselves with courage.

Yep, you're right. Technically he has a much higher level shown during the fight. It was just his physical constitution that ruined his victory.
