A top 3 for me from ST, but it breaks me almost every time. The last "Can't hold myself together" hits hard
Probably my favorite ST song. Gone through some dark eras with this song by my side over the years. The outro is simply a masterpiece of modern rock

I think I’ve definitely posted my opinion of this elsewhere on TH-cam when it comes to this song- but the outro makes you literally feel like you’re drowning, and it’s a chaotic, panicky but resinous and gorgeous death. It brings to mind for me- the times my emotions have been out of wildly control and I am drowning in pain
It's like all the pain Vessel portrayed through lyrics, but as a pure masterpiece of a instrumental section. His voice on the last verse or bridge or whatever before the outro breaks me every time. "For the time being, I will admit my defeat again. I will accept that I cant pretend. We will ever be together."
For me, it's not even about a relationship with someone else, this song. It's about accepting yourself, as a whole. Or the lack thereof. And maybe the desire to have someone to lean on, but knowing your pain, and not wanting to put that weight on them. But then because you keep all that weight on yourself, you drown. And the outro is that Weight dragging you down in the depths.
The more I hear this song, the more I love it. I love all Sleep Token. But this song is special.

High Water is one of my favorites of the entire trilogy.
Now, you have to go back and do the One and Two EPs, the singles (Jaws, The Way That You Were), and covers. 😌

Once you've heard all three albums all the way through, you should definitely listen to the trilogy in full, from Sundowning, through Tomb, all the way to Eden. It's a masterpiece made up of three masterpieces. Do it on your own time and, if you can, try not to skip any songs (even Fall For Me) - if you have to, that's okay, but the story has a happy ending no matter how bittersweet it is.
As you might already know, Sundowning was about the relationship itself, Tomb is about the end of the relationship and the struggle to get by and accept that it's over, and Eden is about finding self-acceptance and finally letting go. It's such a vulnerable, special thing to a lot of people, and so many people can relate to it as well.
Edit: To clarify, I love Fall For Me, but I know that song brought up bad memories when he listened to it before.

@@klopf8 Fall For Me is an amazing song, but when he reacted to it, the song brought up really painful memories for him - I dislike exactly zero of their songs lol. I mentioned it with regards to his previous reaction.

Honestly, you can tap in Sleep Token to the TH-cam search bar, and, I swear, if there's a song that doesn't catch you in your feels, you're unique. What a band, vibe, and whole another universe in the form of music. Love them.
Went through some dark days with this song. Still hard to listen to but this and Telomeres are my absolute favorites off the album. Telomeres specifically reminds me of Diamond Eyes era by Deftones

I've been curious about how all of this came about for you. Having a recap/overview video of your journey through Sleep Token would be something I would be intensely interested in watching. You are entitled to personal privacy, as is everyone, but I would also like to hear how Sleep Token has impacted you since first hearing them. Music is intensely personal for me and it seems it is for you as well. When I find a band that I LOVE it changes me inside even just a little bit. How do you feel ST has changed you?

Possibly my favorite ST song. And I have to give it to II: such a hyperactive drum pattern shouldn't fit with the otherwise chill middle passage, but he not only makes it work, he magically even enhances it.

Ah yes, my favorite and least favorite track on tomb. Fun fact, the synth line you're hearing throughout the song is also the synth line for one of their single releases called Jaws, it's likely that the story from Jaws or the relationship described in it, is the same relationship and story that is being told on this album and possibly the one after it and before it. This song hits me like a ton of fucking bricks, as always I appreciate you, Worship.

@@OzLovell Yes you're correct. I was at work lunch break when I wrote the comment so it was a bit rushed; I would more accurately state that it is HEAVILY inspired by Jaws, and actually imo a variation of that synth. Cheers on the correction :D
