Apologies for the ‘blank’ title at the begining

Excellent video Jacques. I always enjoy these show and tell videos. Beautiful collection of straights. I appreciated your explanation of bellied grinds. I have found that bellied grinds work better for me. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏻

🙏🏻 Toots. I enjoy making these videos a lot. In fact I already recorded part 2 of grinds that will premiere later next week with 14 Fili, SK1 and other technical details.

Great video. I was wondering what your opinion is on a full bellied hollow. I have heard from some that they are a little tricky to shave with. You need to pay extra attention when shaving.

Hi, thank you for the kind words. They shave no different to other hollow razor, they require no additional considerations.

Thank you for the advise. I am a Koraat fan also. I have a custom on the way and I am looking at the Purist.

Where can I find a leather case for straight razors like yours?. I have 15 straight razors and I need a leather case like yours and can't find one

Aren’t full hollows the only grinds that that that belly behind the edge? I’ve seen pictures but it’s hard to catch with the naked eye

Predominently speaking yes. that said not all hollows have bellies, Filarmonica and Thiers Issard comes to mind. Beavier grinds by design has mass and stabilitiy behind it already, so essentially they have build-in bellies.

I hate stropping razors that are square and don’t have jippings. The gold dollars are so fun to hone

GD’s are fun to hone and a must in any honing pit. Some razors strop easier than others, jimps does not bother me, but they are nice to have and encourage confidence on the leather.
