Sick video, loving the in depth tutorials around the electrical install, I’ve got a camper we converted but have been putting the electric off for a long time now, this video has given me the push I needed 🤜🏻
Nice burps. Yeah, such a cool build. Got to have a fridge for your beer club beers, can't camp without beer it's against the rules. Greeting from North Carolina.
You should install a Diesel Heater, i have one in my van and they do wonders on winter camping. Fairly easy set up once an exhaust route is made out of the cabin.
sound deadening sheets inside the cabin makes a world of difference for the money. Some sort of fold out table for food prep or working on, a simple fold up one on the back door works well.
Love that you walk through what your doing so I can learn as well as be entertained! I think the defender would look sick with a bull bar on the front! Beer fridge is a must!
nice vid just chill doing little jobs, such a sick wagon for camping and off roading, if you're sleeping in the roof tent then in the back i think space for tools, bbq and bikes/boards in the back would be the way to go!
Well done matey, looks tidy! I couldn’t see from the video but the fuse AFTER your starter battery BEFORE your split charge relay you ideally want as close to the starter battery terminal as possible; this protects the circuit from earthing out at any point as it runs from starter battery to the split charge relay, for instance on the bulkhead as it passes through. Thought I’d recommend! 😊
Loving seeing the defender featuring again and actually, converting it to a camper is so cool. Beats all the 'van' conversions on TH-cam. You should ply line and carpet the back to turn into a living room/kitchen
A full length pull out draw between the rear wheel tubs may be a good addition for extra storage (with heavy duty slides). You could then build your sleeping area over the top to maximise space. Loving the overland build btw 👍🏼
These videos are definitely not boring! Fucking stoked for this build man! Giving me the motivation to work on my ‘04 Tacoma overland build! Definitely put in a drawer system of some sort since you’ll be sleeping up top or a kitchenette of some sort, maybe a pop out one.
Loving the content, seeing as you’ve already gone down the roof tent route, build the inside out for a cooking set up. Set of draws or something along those lines.
Love a landy! Slide out table/work bench from back door on rails would be sick! Could also make it tilt to wheel stuff up and down into the cab/ do tricks off!
Loving the defender content mate 👌🏻 being a landrover owner myself I wouldn’t wanna start suggesting what to do with yours because I don’t do normal, my disco is on a 7” lift on 35” tyres with a twist kit and 11” extended shocks 😂
Loved watching your defender videos! Picking my defender 90 td5 up on Sunday! Cannot wait, Would love to see some kinda off grid solar for the roof rack!
i dont know how hard it is for you to add this in to your electrics and if it even makes sense for your use case.. but a way of using a rollout flexi solar panel or two would be great for longer stays and not reliant on your engine being run ect. just a thought big dawg ;)
Tat reverse camera and head unit is actually so dope man it’s sick, would love to see you do the nc500 in this thing with Andy and your other mate, paint in the inside and brighten it up would look really good
I get so excited for these defender videos. I've got a matte black 90 with panoramic side windows on the back, it looks so similar to yours, just shorter, keep them coming, really enjoying them. 🤘
Love the content mate just give her a clean all on the dash like new buttons and stuff that are old on the dash just give it a modern look with freshening stuff up but honestly I think you’ll smash the inside when it’s all done hopefully it looks the part and it looks like a warm home inside :)
I just recently changed the head unit in my E92 335i and installed a backup camera all by myself, I gotta say it‘s my favorite and most useful mod by far but it was also the most pain in the ass to install by far
You should add a vent to outside to your leisure battery, they plug into the battery where the little white cap is on the end (your van converter neighbour should be able to help you with that). You might also like to fit a co2 alarm (battery operated one from toolstation) as it will give you an early warning if the leisure battery starts to fail an off gas. Adding an alpicool compressor cool box will be a game changer for your camping, they are really efficient as they are top opening.
Good video. I am in the middle of my own aux electric install and when it came to the inverter I decided it was better to plan out what I intend to run and then find the way to do those things from 12V D.C. because otherwise you are going from 12V D.C. to 240V A.C. and then usually back down to some small D.C. value to power your device. Which is ridiculously inefficient and given that we are running all our kit off one aux battery, efficiency is pretty important. So I've decided I won't even bother installing an inverter.
include a compressor so if you go camping and you have an airbed or a flat you don't have to piss around. Led lighting all along the back might be a good idea too, and potentially a curtain if you're kipping in there
Id love to see a mini workshop in the back or a tool store for when you go overlanding or even just bike maintenance - could get you out of some sticky situations aha and stop the mess of tools everywhere
Found your channel through the Defender, glad to see it back in the shop! Check out the Landtrekker UK Chillmaster line of fridges. Great quality and even better customer service!
Good project. Make sure to mount the inverter and relay on rubber mounts to dampen some of the vibrations which could damage internal components over time. Also grommets for bulkheads and reverse camera. You can use some felt around the battery box lid to stop rattling. Consider ventilation for the leisure battery...if it needs it. ✌🏿😊
These videos are actually so informative mate. Always been a little bit prang to mess about and DIY shit with my motor but you show that it’s not actually too hard to do 😂 big ups bro keep the content coming
Installing a cooking/ water set up would be awesome. Or have seen some class DIY showers people have done with lengths of tube that are pressurized with a bike pump that work pretty well
I love seeing this come together learning so much if ur going to be taking ur bikes or car somewhere I think u should install a compressor in it so you can fill up tyres or things with air on the go
I feel like some sort of awning or pull out shelter would be a really fun idea. I can imagine the hinges on the rear door going upwards on gas struts setting a nice barbecue underneath for those beautiful chicken burgers
Love the defender content , maybe look into some sort of ventilation system to keep any mould or dampness outside of the cabin ? Should also considering getting a fire extinguisher just incase , keep up the great vids 👌🏼
Josh is like the only person when it comes to explain weird car shit I completely understand 😂
Me and some mates build a simular setup in our camper. The thing we use the most has to be the disco ball when we're jammin out to some music!
I reckon a fold out table bolted to the outside so you can eat/drink when you're out and about
you'll need a sufficient tool box in the back for track days! also fact check from Andy?

Water tank for a shower/sink would be a really good idea, that and some form of cook station to do some wilderness cheffing
I'm glad that was therapeutic to do cus that was therapeutic to watch too, stoked for more defender content
coffee machine in the defender!!!! absolutely loving the defender content. super interesting. they’re such cool vehicles.
nice vid just chill doing little jobs, such a sick wagon for camping and off roading, if you're sleeping in the roof tent then in the back i think space for tools, bbq and bikes/boards in the back would be the way to go!
Boqs on the piss if that's 35mm at 8:03 😆
Defo do the starlight on the inside roof like luxry cars have, would look sick when parked up camping inside the defender
Love the tutorial feel of this vid. Also the new design for the hats and stuff is so sick man
Brilliant video👍 loving the defender content and the in depth electrical tutorials 😁🏴
Well done matey, looks tidy!

Thought I’d recommend! 😊
He did put that fuse under the seat with the battery
@@RGen3 😊
I think you need to make the inside basically like a kitchen, imagine going camping and having a full kitchen set up inside!
Loving seeing the defender featuring again and actually, converting it to a camper is so cool. Beats all the 'van' conversions on TH-cam. You should ply line and carpet the back to turn into a living room/kitchen
that defender is legit. boq you’ve done a brilliant job. should make a bed that folds up
do a full on build in the back - bed, stove etc etc
Great to see the defender again.. looking mint!
A full length pull out draw between the rear wheel tubs may be a good addition for extra storage (with heavy duty slides). You could then build your sleeping area over the top to maximise space. Loving the overland build btw 👍🏼
So glad you are back working on the Defender.
These videos are definitely not boring! Fucking stoked for this build man! Giving me the motivation to work on my ‘04 Tacoma overland build!
Definitely put in a drawer system of some sort since you’ll be sleeping up top or a kitchenette of some sort, maybe a pop out one.
Switches look tidy! So cool. Spot lights on top of the defender would look sick!
So jealous is the defender!! I love it, I have a tentbox that goes on top of a fiesta😂 keep up the work mate and enjoy the adventures!!
Loving this series, similar to doing a van build but way better
Honestly best video I’ve seen in a while mate, keep up the good work 👍🏼 loving the build
Loving the content, seeing as you’ve already gone down the roof tent route, build the inside out for a cooking set up. Set of draws or something along those lines.
Your land looks great mate I reckon you should do some camper esque interior, but more importantly a fold down beer bar and mini fridge 😂
Love your content, very chilled and easy watch. Been following for a very long time 👍
I think it’s only right you make a bad ass ‘kitchen’ in the back of the defender! Love the Landy content boq!
Sick little bunch of jobs! Definitely coming for the open house aswell!
Definitely need a bbq in the defender, cooking out side with that, few tins, few camping chairs - perfect
Love a landy! Slide out table/work bench from back door on rails would be sick! Could also make it tilt to wheel stuff up and down into the cab/ do tricks off!
Quality that defender, can't wait to see the trailer finished
Awesome vid, loving the Defender content! So refreshing see a proper decent build without an unlimited budget like most builds these days
Loving the defender content mate 👌🏻 being a landrover owner myself I wouldn’t wanna start suggesting what to do with yours because I don’t do normal, my disco is on a 7” lift on 35” tyres with a twist kit and 11” extended shocks 😂
Bit overkill for getting Into a camping site I'd say 😂
Can't wait for the first camping trip vid in the deffy!
Love the defender vids. Would be cool to add a mini kitchen in the back with a counter that could double as a desk for working.
Love this defender bro 🙏🏽 I think you should build like a storage box cooler/ seat, so you lift up the seat and cooler full of beers 🔥
Awesome video! I am hyped for more of this series!
Love the defender videos. Also I think u should run a solar panel to keep that secondary battery fully charge without have to run the vehicle
Loved watching your defender videos! Picking my defender 90 td5 up on Sunday! Cannot wait,
Would love to see some kinda off grid solar for the roof rack!
Loved this video. So productive! Definitely like a camper conversion feeling going on. Keep it up lad 💪🏼
Would love to see more camper build video’s on the defender👍🏼
External shower (also able to wash down bikes). Came in handy on my Sprinter conversation!
those new hats are epic! nearly as epic as a fold-out minibar in the back...
i dont know how hard it is for you to add this in to your electrics and if it even makes sense for your use case.. but a way of using a rollout flexi solar panel or two would be great for longer stays and not reliant on your engine being run ect. just a thought big dawg ;)
Insulation would be a good move, not going to stay warm for long!
Tat reverse camera and head unit is actually so dope man it’s sick, would love to see you do the nc500 in this thing with Andy and your other mate, paint in the inside and brighten it up would look really good
Love the Defender content! This is going to the be the perfect camping rig
loving the defender build, deffo need a beer fridge
I get so excited for these defender videos. I've got a matte black 90 with panoramic side windows on the back, it looks so similar to yours, just shorter, keep them coming, really enjoying them. 🤘

Back door kitchen setup as your a foodie. Go all Drew Simms!
Lovin the defender content man keep it up! Always thought those portable showers people throw on their rigs are sweet, maybe get one of them?
The content on the defender has been great!
It’s making me want to pick up a off Roader to take on adventures instead of using my M3!
I just recently changed the head unit in my E92 335i and installed a backup camera all by myself, I gotta say it‘s my favorite and most useful mod by far but it was also the most pain in the ass to install by far

V good advice all of that! Thanks bud

Seen a lot of love for the JetBoil mugs
I know have more wiring knowledge than most sparks, thanks Boq x
DIY draw system would be cool to watch and a pop top roof conversion if you can sell enough caps 😀
Great video as per, You have shown us exactly how to install a split charge battery which i didn't have a clue how to do so BRILLIANT VID 🙂
Youre smashing the car content, time to wind the td5 up a bit and make her pokey
This was an epic vid, I love the auto elec home projects
include a compressor so if you go camping and you have an airbed or a flat you don't have to piss around. Led lighting all along the back might be a good idea too, and potentially a curtain if you're kipping in there

Id love to see a mini workshop in the back or a tool store for when you go overlanding or even just bike maintenance - could get you out of some sticky situations aha and stop the mess of tools everywhere
Sound insulation, carpet, lounge, bosh 💥
The defenders come along so nicely been watching since year old Webisode days
sick build so far, should deffo add a water tank for showers or whatever!
Go for a bulkhead removal behind the front seats, then you can fit some different front seats.
Found your channel through the Defender, glad to see it back in the shop! Check out the Landtrekker UK Chillmaster line of fridges. Great quality and even better customer service!

Rubber mounts is a v good idea thank you!
@@boqer123 most welcome 😊
Got to have some sort of gaming system in the back. Mini fridge would also look mint !!
Saw you in Lidl today mate, keep the Landie videos coming!
Storage under the bench’s is a must!
I reckon some sound deadening and carpet for the rear would be a nice touch for the interior.
These videos are actually so informative mate. Always been a little bit prang to mess about and DIY shit with my motor but you show that it’s not actually too hard to do 😂 big ups bro keep the content coming
might be an idea to mount the spare on the side, military style. great vid as always :))
Love the defender content can't wait to see some adventures
Installing a cooking/ water set up would be awesome. Or have seen some class DIY showers people have done with lengths of tube that are pressurized with a bike pump that work pretty well
Have a pull down bed, check out the stitches and steel one, would look cool in the defender
Loving all the new content! I’m an auto electrician and do van conversions for a living ever need anything let me know 🤙🏼
I love seeing this come together learning so much if ur going to be taking ur bikes or car somewhere I think u should install a compressor in it so you can fill up tyres or things with air on the go
cant beat defender content man
TV would be sweet in the back - option for fake taxi playing to cars behind while driving and boqer vids in the bush.
Nice one mate.. Enjoying the content on this.
Loving the defender videos ba ! Definitely should get a pull out barbecue going out of the back of the defender
Loved it mate as always interesting stuff as per
I feel like some sort of awning or pull out shelter would be a really fun idea. I can imagine the hinges on the rear door going upwards on gas struts setting a nice barbecue underneath for those beautiful chicken burgers
defender content on point as always
Landy coming along nicely!
In need of a TV and a PS2 with granturismo 😂
Tell me there's gonna be a dedicated beer fridge! Needs to be installed by Andys Landies tho
Love the defender content , maybe look into some sort of ventilation system to keep any mould or dampness outside of the cabin ? Should also considering getting a fire extinguisher just incase , keep up the great vids 👌🏼
A fold down tv would be really cool, i want to do one but just a tablet holder is a lot more convenient
