If anyone tries to force you to do something you don't want to do, that is oppression
Not always..we can't do as we like..we have to consider others..
...rape!
As in 'rates' 🤔
As long as you are not hurting others, that is correct.
Agree. Imagine being told you can't speak your language at school in the country of your ancestors.
@@LeonardDavies-k5p yes I wonder how the Moriori feel .
Thank you Leah and Nicole an excellent interview and well explained
Change this crazy law, and then sort out the REINZ, then things will be okay, this stuff is BS. Cheers Nicole.
Which law do you want to change?
Utter madness. It is little wonder thousand of NZ people have decided this country is not the place they want to live. With any future evident. As this country slips further into racial separatism unequity and disharmony favouritism based on race.
I’m a fresh graduate and literally all of my cohort have already made plans to leave. We were repeatedly victimised by M’s throughout our studies by flat robberies, assaults in nightclubs, stolen cars etc etc. Singapore is a great option. Either way, grads are leaving enmasse and I truly cannot wait to get out and never look back
Well done. You read the signs and country in your statement. Correctly. I am 71 NZ by birth. My children are 5th generation NZ. Six years of last Government undermining any individual who is not of or from one specific group ethnic. Now a Government that just carries on the same. I will be leaving NZ permanently As soon as possible. I wish you well.
@@jeffreywilliams7648 likewise my friend, I wish you a happy retirement
The events at Waitangi are an example of what will happen if these jokers get their way.
FFS some rapists arent even getting 5 years prison but this a lock out of her job for 5 years.
Remember their were those gang members in Hawera who stabbed and severely beat up a mentally unwell man at maccas... most of them didn't even go to prison.
Gosh Nicole McKee and the ACT party are shining forth with good old fashioned common sense at the moment. This real estate requirement is absurd and yes, taking the mic away from David speaking at Waitangi is just silly stuff. Read the bill first and then have your say.
Thanks Nicole❤ change the bloody law
The rude and arrogant behaviour of certain maori is beyond belief. If a non maori removed the microphone from a maori speaker at a meeting, the press would all be screaming "racism" and calling for the person's blood. Turning your back on a speaker is also rude, and the results would have been the same as the first instance. The sad thing is that all views should be acknowledged, even if you don't happen to agree with what's being said - a case of "I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend too the death your right to say it". Sadly, this didn't happen in this instance
Totally agree with you!!
What else would you expect from that lot.
@@markphillips5368 the ignorant will always turn their backs on the truth, it's been a feature of our existence since before we discovered fire
Moldy do not care. If there were no cameras there, they would have killed him and eaten him. This is who we have been saddled with. Literal cannibals.
It is an irony that the self proclaimed freedom of speech champ Seymour has his freedom to speak taken away by others demonstrating their freedom to not hear him speak. I think that is a right too. He can control the speech at his Act party parties but not where others outside the 8 percent congregate. Why should people who disagree with all of his destructive and regressive policies have to hear him at Waitangi? The ones having a go at the Treaty need to get it in their heads that it is well respected and is not going anywhere.
Change the law to prevent compulsory courses unrelated to the core of the job description being implemented in the first place.
Which law?
@MartinCraig-zt2sv create one.
Janet does not deserve to lose her job over a short course when she's been on the job for 30 years and been doing alright thank you very much. Making a person go broke and go on a benefit over a non related course for her job is insane. I'm disgusted by this mindless nonsense.
It was probably easy to do the course and not feel like it was some kind of oppression. Most do just that and are doing fine.
@LeonardDavies-k5p it is oppression that causes someone to lose their livelihood over a course that was not acceptable because of Janet's beliefs. How would you like to be disenfranchised over something so trivial
@ I would never say no to learning more about Maori culture, I am a proud Kiwi. There will always be a few reluctant ones, that's their loss.
@@LeonardDavies-k5p Would you say the same if people were forced to undertake a Christian education in order to earn a living?
@ Our culture is built on both Maori and European values, most embrace it. That's quite different from religion.
Why can’t politicians answer a question, it’s as simple as yes or no,
Cheers to Leah
NZ DEI, so embarrassing!🤦🏼
REFERENDUM NOW !!
So , I heard a ptm member ask another person what right they had to discuss maori if they weren't a maori. So if you are not a maori why do you have to learn to speak maori in order to keep your job. This law must have been made up by Mr Pid, Mr Stu Pid.
One maori person does not speak for all maori but you are quite happy to make a big issue about it,so who is the stupid one??.
@@eddieh4800you are.
PART-maori, makes it even sillier proposition, last full blooded maori died in 1950's according to history class in the 1980's.
I'm not a cat, I have no lived experience as a cat, or qualifications in cats......but I know they have paws, whiskers & their s**t stinks :D
As a maori shall l assume they were speaking g English and not te reo?
I get your point and agree that things are becoming utterly ridiculous and the divisiveness that is becoming more and more akin to American politics and needs someone like Trimp to shut down that sort of sepratist devisive ideological narrative!!!
We can't just wander on to a marae that isn't ours and expext to do what we want. Not only is it considered disrespectful of the kaupapa... it's also a tresspasable offense.
... and yet TPM feels it can do the Ka Mate haka in the house of all New Zealanders knowing many won't accept it as a valid challenge but more so a threat and a deliberate
slap in the face. Especially to those that disagree with TPM Ideology.
It's all very well to stand on ceremony when making a point but when you delibetately try to divide a country using hateful, harmful and devisive rhetoric... you end up becoming your own enemy.
In Essence you've become like those you actively chosen to accuse and hate!
You only need look at what recently happened when half a nation spent nearly a decade hating, vilifying and persecuting one man!!!
😂🤣 ... the haters got exactly what they asked for
... OUTRIGHT OPPOSITION to their own WOKE, DEIA ideology and a historical and unanimous kick to the kerb!
Their proverbial house of cards got toppled and is still crumbling...!
The man they directed their ill informed hate at... is now the leader of what some consider 'the free world on this planet.
How ironic!
Agree with Nicole. Change the law.
What's happening with obligatory Maori indoctrination is no different from Ardern mandates in order to work in government jobs.
it's now been widened to incorporate Treaty indoctrination or lose your job.
That's not democracy, that's communist authoritarianism l.
Nicole has a great future..
Could we have a compulsory Personal Development course on the Technological Revolution of European evolution.
No this is not Europe this is New Zealand they will have your course there we have been putting up with European ways for over 150 years it’s your turn now lump it or leave

If TPM had their way, certainly.
They are happening in other businesses. Corporate capitalism out, corporate fascism in.
Unfortunately the courts just set the wrong precedent by applying the law correctly. There's a difference between legal and just. The law needs amending. The Real Estate Institute can't take any bragging rights and institutions should not be able to enforce their political or racial ideologies on anyone. The Real Estate Institute remains morally wrong.
Read the decision again - it isn't complicated
Nicole McKee currently serves as the 12th Minister for Courts and Associate Minister of Justice (Firearms).
her tweet ...
'In response to the Janet Dickson case, I have set clear expectations with the Real Estate Authority that compulsory professional development requirements should be relevant to real estate agents - Māori culture, language, and the Treaty are not.'
Removing the microphone... how fking rude
"Tikanga" seems to have a pretty low bar.
Low IQ seems to be the requirement !
Luxton won't see another term hopefully David Seymore seems to have more balls on getting things done vote on referendum
Luxon is a misplaced mediocre CEO and dipshit Seymour (note spelling?) has no place in politics.
It wasn’t Luxon that enabled the RE agency to go Maori PC , Luxon has been very busy sorting out the MAJOR problems NZ people face , the RE agency qualification requirements are important but well down the “to do “ list
Try being in health system at moment with all activists it’s tedious
Just even it up. All Maori must do a compulsory Caucasian course
The problem is that they’re too stupid. The majority of them cannot finish high school.
So it's ok to oppress any dissenting views to maori activism, at the expense of everyone else, yep, the people of nz really are getting the picture, and the swelling feeling will manifest, everyone equal, and thats it
Go back and and read the Court's decision again, slowly this time
Go Nicole!
keep treating your elected Members of Parliament with disrespect and see how many keep coming to Waitangi, and if they do not turn up, you basically have no credibility for your event
People, companies should have a choice don't force people you get no where
This is a disgusting outcome!
Lol no one doesn't need to be forced to speak Maori for work,
One would have to wonder if the REINZ was still living in the time of Charles Dickens judging by its draconian rules????? Heaven forbid poor "Oliver" challenging the board. Perhaps there could be agents who attend the course specialise [in property sales]??
Open Home is is postponed for 5 years...Yeah Right.
This is not Northland friendly hospitality and God is watching!
God is not impressed 🤔
No justice in NZ anymore
Surely they didn't HAVE to suspend her
I have to say I'm a bit concerned about the violent language being used against white people on social media. Im talking very vitriol and violent threats of harm. I saw one guy threaten to burn a persons house down with his family inside. It took me back quite a bit and what was even worse is people justify it. TPM are doing a good job of stirring emotions. My partner and I are leaving when my boy finishes school. There are not many people in her profession and we both are changing lives for maori in Mental health and brain injury everyday. There are Maori who are alive because of us literally! Very sad.
Have you had a good look at the commenters on the platform, act youtube account, Whangarei tim, etc? There are some extremely nasty comments on there. Quite embarrassing and really hateful. Many prominent Maori, (especially wahine), receive the worst threats on a daily basis. I would challenge the idea that they mostly come from the 'other' side. I know a few who get daily death threats from far right activists.
@@LeonardDavies-k5p I have and never heard them speak of any harm to anyone. Huge difference to burning a persons home down with their family inside. I'd call that behavior out regardless of political affiliation.

Will the law be retrospective so that Janet can begin working again?
Law abiding citizens 🤣😂 have a referendum or have a real estate principals bill?? Don’t like the law then change it?🤣😂
What are other real estate agents doing, just kowtowing to the system?
But will National support this law change.
Can you imagine how the Aussies would react if their current left leaning government forced all Aussies to do additional courses on the topic of aboriginals for various industries. How about an aboriginal prayer to start the working day in hospitals or mines or in police stations? They wouldn’t put up with that crap. I say crap, it’s not crap to aboriginals, but the days of forcing religion or once believes down once another’s throat had gone, so I thought.
A side note, Māori somehow spent 4 million dollars of tax payers money on playing whale sounds to Kauri trees recently. Unbelievable most would agree, yet it’s these Stone Age concepts that we are subjected to in our work places in the form of morning prayers and blessing all manner of things. As the minister said, 56 pages of text of which only 6 even vaguely relegated to this ladies profession.
Arden may have left the country but her legacy is still alive and kicking.
