Hello there, Cy-Scholar, and welcome to LIB 1600! My name is Dr. Yen Verhoeven, and I will be your instructor for the semester.
This course is about learning how to do college-level research, and I am so excited to be supporting you on this journey. So, I am one of the instructional design librarians here at Parks Library.
We worked all summer to make this course as custom built for you as possible.
If you have any questions during the semester, please feel free to reach out via email, drop on by my office in room 150 in Parks Library, and I can totally help you out with what you need.
So, I wanted to share a little bit about me. We are an entire ISU family. My husband is also here at the Vet Med Center. My son is doing his first year here at ISU and I have another son that just graduated last year.
In my spare time I am an indoor gardener. If you drop by my office you'll see all kinds of plants because I love growing things like minds. The other thing is that I am also a backyard chicken hobbyist, because I really, really, love farm fresh eggs. I play Pokemon Go, and I just think it's a blast being here at ISU and at the library.
