And tomorrow you will have a kink in the neck, a pain in your back, and a creek in your knees. The fun and joy of an excellent days work. Most of today’s youth would not even attempt four cords in a day. I did it once as a young man just to see if I could do it. No hydraulic splitter it took me 20 hours. 30 years ago I was getting 75 dollars a cord. Y’all are an inspiration. Great content. Have a wonderful day!
I love it..... Stiff 20 years ago..... Always was a great way to start the day...... I'm not sure that I can remember that far back..... Phil, you made me laugh......
We put alot of thought into building that splitter . Having it fast is nice but having the pieces fall off after each split into the conveyor instead of having to push them down the table is probably the best feature on it . Now i just need a self loading table so i dont have to stop to load the table every 10 min lol.
@@AllenFamilyFirewood yeah. I am trying to figure out something for my greenhouse so I can split there after 4:00. No power run there so it will have to be battery powered or generator
Very efficient work. Looks like you made up for the lost time. The two of you work well together. I like the way you stack on pallets that can be moved and dumped. Happy Thanksgiving.
Hi Phil and Karen. Phil you look like how I feel most days after cutting and splitting a few rounds and I’m 65 lol. Take care you two, there’s always tomorrow and we would all miss you if you over do it a bit to much. Great video as usual. Oh my goodness, what a day! Who’s cooking dinner tonight? Thanks Brent, it sure was! We saw Chris's video...he's a champ and we're honored to be on his sticker board...even though he isn't a sticker guy! He's a great guy though!
You are walking like I feel most days. I am in my 70's, it doesn't get any better. I very seldom see the crack of dawn anymore. I don't sleep well and usually get up at the crack of 11 am. I love the way the 2 of you work together. Cutting wood for me was always therapeutic and allowed me to buy and use professional saws. I sold just enough to pay for my equipment.
We usualy get up with the sun but it takes a good hr an sometimes 2 before i can move good enuf to head down to the woodyard but once i get going i just want to keep going . Splitting wood just makes me feal good an keeps me in shape well sort of lol.

Very long day! I feel you guys pain. Fused lower back and knees that need replaced. Doc said I was too young 5 years ago at 42 to replace them. 🤣 Y'all had a productive day, I would agree with others, too long of a day. I usually only get between half and a full cord done in a day. LOL, thanks Todd! I did take my lunch break and Phil did too! haha Amazing what can happen when you get tired! Thanks for always watching and commenting, we appreciate you!
Hello Phil and Karen. You guys definitely broke your backs today in that wood yard. I hope Karen is getting double time for overtime. With all the subscribers you have now hope your getting some offers for demo equipment. Maybe a Tractor with a grapple on it to make things a little easier handling those logs or maybe a splitter that you can put a whole log on it that cuts the rounds and splits them. You have to start soliciting some of these companies for the equipment to make your life easier. Thanks for another good video.
