    Hello "Crispi's!" Wish HF had an adapter for a floor jack instead of buying a whole new jack. I need a support for removing the center section in my 9", it is like 75-80 lbs. Take care, Cheers from Motown! Oh, nice tips you gave at the end young sir!!

    I agree with not going to the craft shop. They charge you to work on things. While it’s not much, working out of your own garage let’s you take your time and you don’t have to worry about messing something up because you rushed putting it back together to avoid the overnight holding fee.

    did you keep the wing nuts loose so you could maneuver the transmission?

    But does the plate of the jack tilt?

    How much was the jack?

    Impact gun to lift and lower the jack would probably be a little easier.

      slow and steady. doing that will cause it to drop way too fast

    Once you have the transmission mounted, why dont you just cut the strap?

    • @thecrispis2728
      @thecrispis2728  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could, if you don’t care to use the strap again in the future. You could improvise with ratchet straps or similar.

      Buchanan Sleeve I prefer to work out of my garage with my own tools. Plus, how would I get the car to and from the hobby shop lol

    Dude, no tight gloves and no power driver for the jack? Otherwise you good, turn the crank bolt by hand, no key bumps!!

  • @andyburk4825

    Good grief the car is dismantled already so would've been easier to pull the motor/trans together from above, replace the trans and drop it all back in.
