If this theory was correct, even the phenomenon of the waves/lake coast receding and then the volcano erupting at the same time the Israelites were fleeing from the Egyptians shows me how God saved them. On top of that, there are the 10 plagues that happened that led to this event-more miracles to consider. There are no coincidences with God. He is in control of all things-including the waves and that volcano (Matthew 8:27, Romans 11:36). Very interesting documentary!
The story of the Exodus from Egypt is completely fabricated. The Israelites were not in Egypt, and there is no historical evidence confirming their presence on any Egyptian manuscript or mural. But it is certain that they were in Yemen for a long time, and perhaps Ethiopia, and exited through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

_@Albert Lin_ -- This video did a good job of illustrating the false trails of the Exodus, but it didn't explore the most likely route. In fact, there was no mention of it at all. Three significant points were overlooked: (1) the Bible says the Hebrews lived in Goshen while they were in Egypt, which was on the East side of the Nile delta, (2) the Bible repeatedly says that the Hebrews exited Egypt when they crossed the sea and the Sinai Peninsula was part of Egypt at that time, and (3) the Hebrews must have crossed into Midian (Arabia today) after crossing the sea because that's where several of their way points are located (like the oasis with twelve springs). With the above in mind, the Straits of Tiran is the likely crossing point through the sea (at the Southern end of the Gulf of Aqaba). It contains a hidden land bridge where the water is shallow. Mount Sinai must be located in Arabia and Jabal al-Lawz is the most likely and contains obvious evidence. Please view the 2003 documentary _The Search for the Real Mt. Sinai_ which shows the expedition of Cornuke and Williams to Jabal al-Lawz in Arabia. They illustrate the most likely route for the Exodus.
I was going to argue the same thing. The position of Mt.Sinai had been told to be misinterpreted and if we look at the real location of Mt. Sinai, which is actually located in Arabia, it makes more sense than the original theory behind where the red sea is. Positioning the real mt.sinai gives more clarity into where the red sea is located and logically makes more sense.
Omg thanks for sharing the 2003 documentary! I saw this and if the land bridge theory is true, what a wonderful leading when u have million + elderly, women, children, cattle, luggage, etc. no way you can actually cross the depth of a sea floor!!
You mean the controversial evangelical pseudo-archeologist, who's claims, such as claiming a vaguely boat-shaped geographical formation was Noah's arc, are even discredited by many Christian scholars?
@@hel117 He claimed too that he found Jesus blood n had it DNA tested. N from what I know it has never been showed. He also claimed that he found the ark of the covenant.
He definitely did! The golden chariot wheels are still visible along with the coral-crusted chariot axles. What about the real Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia, the kingdom of Saudi has sectioned off and fenced the area in. The top of the mountain is still burnt!
Not sure if it was Dr. Wyatt or not, but I've seen underwater video footage which showed the broken coral-covered shapes of chariot wheels in the most shallow spot of the proposed crossing. One of the broken wheels appeared to be gold-plated, so it didn't have any coral growing on it. This was shown on the TBN tv channel I watched in early 2000-something. That visual evidence was all I needed to be convinced that was the actual spot of the crossing. We can't know the actual distance in miles of the crossing back in that day so long ago, nor the original depth of the sea at that spot. Geography often changes over hundreds of years wherever bodies of water are involved. The government in control of this area has outlawed exploratory removal of underwater artifacts and evidence. The political power structure of that area is clearly not supportive of the biblical Exodus story.
I have been blessed to have visited Egypt in 2001, my most amazing trip, once in a life time experience, traveled all of this ancient civilization for 2 weeks.
In a way. Now you hear the correct story, not the flowered story it became in the book. Thats what happens when u repeat the same story several times... we call it a game of chinese whispers. Whisper one sentence to the person in front of u and watch the sentence change with each person. When u want to create a "god", you retell normal happenings to become "miracles" performed by "god".
My first time to Cairo I was in just awe and saying the same things, I cannot believe this or that. Even my second time there, it still held its sway over me. Just a great place.
No proof so far for this story, until now the Exodus from Egypt is completely fabricated. The Israelites were not in Egypt, and there is no historical evidence confirming their presence on any Egyptian manuscript or mural, nothing at all... But it is certain that they were in Yemen for a long time, and perhaps Ethiopia, and exited may happened through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
Dang! That technology to see what a place MAY have looked like thousands of years ago is incredible. Excellent investigation. But I cannot say they are just stories or tales.
Captivating landscapes and compelling narratives! I'm curious about the timing of natural disasters. Can you explain why volcanoes and tsunamis seemingly coincided precisely to impact the Egyptian army while sparing the route over the lake, leading to the group led by Moses?
Ya the timeline is abit off isn’t it? From 1250BC, he said there might be a more violent ending based on the memory of more than one event (ie. assumptions which he did not prove), and went straight to Santorini tsunami which isn’t coherent or at least doesn’t explain anything unless we assume it’s truly a combination of >1 event.. I’d be more satisfied or convinced if this - combi of >1 event assumption - was at least proven with some archaeological evidence tt they are related… you know? Hypothesis or sthg at the very least… what’s the point of showing the Santorini event if it’s only assumption? That’s not the premise of his shows, or was it? But then again he said it’s his quest. I’m disappointed… I only believe up till Reed Sea cuz i read elsewhere before too
oh my goodness! I really have hoped to watch this documentary for many years since I watched one of them in a shorts. Thanks national geographic for releasing this for free :)
What a good storyteller like Albert Lin. And also what an impressive documentary about those buried secrets of the bible... Hope to more documentaries on the bible just in time this Lenten Season. Thank you so much National Geographic...
Ramesses II wasn’t the Pharaoh of the Exodus. In Kings 1 Chapter 6, the Temple of Solomon was constructed over 400 years after the Exodus. The Masoretic place the construction 480 years after the Exodus, while the Septuagint place it 440 years after the Exodus. The construction of Solomon’s Temple began in 966 BC, so if we add the years from the Masoretic and Septuagint texts, we get 1446 to 1406 BC. Outside of the Bible, Egyptian priest and historian Manetho named the Exodus Pharaoh Amenophis, whose writing was preserved by Roman Jewish historian Flavius Josephus. The Exodus Pharaoh would have been Amenhotep II who reigned Egypt from 1427 to 1401/1397 BC. If the Exodus happened in 1406 BC via the Septuagint, Amenhotep II would have been Pharaoh in that time frame.
One little Biblical fact turns this whole doco on it's head, the fact that Moses was leading the people to the land of Midian to receive The Law. Midian being in the opposite direction to the present day Israel, Midian being in Saudi Arabia opposite the RED Sea.
Thanks, Albert Lin, for this amazing documentary. The bible comes alive right Infront of me. Think more could be added to the documentary like an undersea remnant of a perished army. Whether it as a tsunami caused what happened and such a timing that it's at the moment the Israelites are fleeing that the sea parted and closed exactly when the Egyptians were about to cross? Such a coincidence?
Keep these videos coming National Geographic, I love these videos with biblical events (btw God opent the red sea, not Moses himself), do watch out for sensationalism
Faced with the challenge of authoritarian system to democratic system, that is, the problem of bad currency driving out good currency. A democratic country must understand one fact: Chinese factory workers are all "farmers", and the Chinese government takes advantage of these "low human rights" and cheap labor advantages, which leads to unfair competition in the global market where products produced in China are priced below market cost. To change this unfair situation, democratic countries must urge and pressure the Chinese government to improve the human rights and welfare protection of the majority of lower class Chinese people. Trade sanctions and anti-dumping measures cannot solve the fundamental problem. Only when the human rights and welfare benefits of the majority of Chinese migrant workers are improved can the labor rights and market competition of the United States and the European Union be protected from harm, and we cannot watch the unfortunate consequences of bad currency driving out good currency continue to develop. Therefore, democratic countries must help all migrant workers at the bottom of China to speak out and exert pressure on their human rights, instead of focusing solely on the human rights situation in Xinjiang, Xizang, Hong Kong and dissident defenders. Only by improving the human rights of the majority of Chinese at the bottom can we safeguard fair competition in the world. This is an unavoidable problem in globalization, because we are all citizens of the earth.
If the eruption was took place at the time the Israelites were passing thru the Red Sea, how then that the only affected are the Egyptian Soldier? What happen to the Egyptian people living near the sea? If the Volcano erupted that strong and created tsunami, how come that the Israelites just walk across the sea and the Egyptian soldier who are riding on their chariots /horses died?
All these is answered in the Bible. Exodus 14:21-28 NIV [21] Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, [22] and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. [23] The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen followed them into the sea. [24] During the last watch of the night the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion. [25] He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The Lord is fighting for them against Egypt.” [26] Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.” [27] Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward it, and the Lord swept them into the sea. [28] The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen-the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.
God can do ANYTHING. Look what he created from nothing. The Bible said there was a wall of water on either side. So it would have been VERY high water. The ground was DRY - not muddy. There doesn’t have to be a scientific explanation for ANTYTHING God does. He is GOD!
But that’s just a belief. Many people have believed many things throughout history; but that doesn’t mean that those things were true. Until actual evidence of the parting of the seas is found, it’s just a story.
@@keirfarnum6811 Imagine the timing we are talking about here. How is it possible that none of the Israelites died in the water or were left behind, even kids or old people, but when it came to the army, the sea closed again and they all died? By the way, do you even know that there is a creator for everything?
i think you forgot about quicksand as a contributing factor, the land was still drenched with water, the water was returning, the army stopped and noticed, then tried to turn back but their feet, horses, and chariots started sinking and couldn't move before the water returned and drowned them.
Having been to the so-called sea of Galilee, which is essentially a fresh water lake in northern Israel, i strongly believe that that so-called red or rather reed sea was/is just a lake.
The story of Moses and Egypt is very, very touchy. It is no wonder Egyptians find the Israeli desire to prove the Exodus to be suspicious. Between Muslim and Israeli there is no love lost.
You lack faith.God Almighty created all the heavens and earth. He controls nature. And in time all will believe. I know how He changed me and the dream He gave me that saved my son's life. I obeyed Him and I followed through with only faith. If I hadn't my son would be dead. I will never doubt God. All Glory to The Lord God Almighty Jesus Christ.
It's really fascinated how science and technology can explain parts of the bible stories. As we evolved in time and technology, miracles can somehow be explained scientifically on how that worked as learned here but not everything. Even though we can say that this could matched on what happened with Moses', people couldnt still explain the part when Moses raised his staff and the water has been parted on exact time of it. And I think that's where people should recognize the miracles and capabilities of God. Things that cannot be explained but possible with God.
Hello Mr. Albert Lin, I hope to thank you for bringing us quality content but unfortunately, you could use a bit more researching instead of filling in missing clues with imaginative conclusions to try to "interpret" what really happened. It came close, but not really. Feels like content was lacking and investigation is mediocre.

22:10. Being that they were once slaves. It would make sense for them to take the route less traveled. For there are people of higher authority that may travel the main route. As they were escaping in a sense. They made a smart call in a way. The main route certainly could have been a place much like the Silk Road prior to the Templars presence.

Interesting, thank you.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Moses didnt part the red sea...GOD DID!
Hahaha I see what you did there ..
That's right Yahusha did

Albert Lin is one my fave so far. A good story teller 😘
Dr Ron Wyatt found the real crossing years ago. He also found the chariots and also horses remains in the Red Sea were the actual crossing took place.
@@aaronryan6160true
Bible is happening in-front of us , it is wonderful full. What a story!.
True. Just how they know the Jesus in story. Some people spread stories. Then, it becomes true. @blurblahblurb
This guy is the coolest, very refreshing. Awesome story teller
Albert is the best!
My favorite documentaries. Albert Lin is so good at what he does and handsome as well❤
My first time to Cairo I was in just awe and saying the same things, I cannot believe this or that. Even my second time there, it still held its sway over me. Just a great place.
I believe that the Bible is true inspired words and experiences. I know the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
It's great when science proves the Bible
No proof so far for this story, until now the Exodus from Egypt is completely fabricated. The Israelites were not in Egypt, and there is no historical evidence confirming their presence on any Egyptian manuscript or mural, nothing at all... But it is certain that they were in Yemen for a long time, and perhaps Ethiopia, and exited may happened through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
I believe the Great Green Arkleseizure is the true creator of the universe. Atchoo!
Yeah, he probably created you in his own image, just on a smaller scale :)@@keirfarnum6811
Have you checked your carbon monoxide detector recently? Might be smart to do that....
A bright new theory based on new findings truly gives a new enlightment. Thanks Natgeo and DR Albert Lin.
Dang! That technology to see what a place MAY have looked like thousands of years ago is incredible. Excellent investigation. But I cannot say they are just stories or tales.
Done watching lost cities in polynesia..then knight templar and now this.. deeply amazed

Captivating landscapes and compelling narratives! I'm curious about the timing of natural disasters. Can you explain why volcanoes and tsunamis seemingly coincided precisely to impact the Egyptian army while sparing the route over the lake, leading to the group led by Moses?
If you actually listen, the tsunami was 300 yrs before the supposed crossing of the Reed Sea (not Red Sea - again, clearly covered in this video).
I’m disappointed… I only believe up till Reed Sea cuz i read elsewhere before too
There was a spot where Chariot Wheels encrusted in Coral found in the Red sea!
Entry points on Either Shore enter exit, sand was melted by Heat!
I believe that coral can form in those shapes anywhere so it might not actually be a chariot wheel. Could be though.
oh my goodness! I really have hoped to watch this documentary for many years since I watched one of them in a shorts. Thanks national geographic for releasing this for free :)

The parting of the red sea is an annual event. We call it pass over from Egypt (winter) to the Promised Land of Spring - Summer. Hello Spring Equinox.
Absolutely amazing the story of the history of the Egyptian ancient empire history.
One little Biblical fact turns this whole doco on it's head, the fact that Moses was leading the people to the land of Midian to receive The Law. Midian being in the opposite direction to the present day Israel, Midian being in Saudi Arabia opposite the RED Sea.
Precisely... One fact turns all of his toil on its head
@@joshuam.m.2886 Obviously you forgot to name 'your fact' so i'm left guessing if it may be a typical thumb-sucking from naysayers.
You forgot a flaming bush that talked to Moses.
Keep these videos coming National Geographic, I love these videos with biblical events (btw God opent the red sea, not Moses himself), do watch out for sensationalism
Love Albert Lin... Lost Cities is amazing thanks for bringing it back!!!!!
Nothing is impossible with God, if you believe in Him, all things are possible!
Exodus 14:21-28 NIV
[21] Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land.
Before a tsunami hits the shore it pulls back all the water and exposes the land.
Because that lake is only 2 feet deep.
wow I really enjoy this history.
Albert Lin national geographic == must watch 👍👍 excellent shows I hope they continue to make shows with Albert Lin
"It's like a warehouse of antiquities."
Aka a museum, Albert.
😂😂 I thought the same! 😂
That would be a bigger miracle than the one I believe.
That augmented reality of the Ramses field gave me the creeps! It's so hauntingly beautiful.
@@keirfarnum6811
Imagine the timing we are talking about here. How is it possible that none of the Israelites died in the water or were left behind, even kids or old people, but when it came to the army, the sea closed again and they all died? By the way, do you even know that there is a creator for everything?
All glory to God! 🙌🏻
the expectacular Egyptian Museum at Tahrir, its really breathaking 😊
This is my great second history story. I love listening to bible and all kinds of our great hiatiry🌷💞🌷
i think you forgot about quicksand as a contributing factor, the land was still drenched with water, the water was returning, the army stopped and noticed, then tried to turn back but their feet, horses, and chariots started sinking and couldn't move before the water returned and drowned them.
Having been to the so-called sea of Galilee, which is essentially a fresh water lake in northern Israel, i strongly believe that that so-called red or rather reed sea was/is just a lake.
Thank you Ron Wyatt!
The story of Moses and Egypt is very, very touchy. It is no wonder Egyptians find the Israeli desire to prove the Exodus to be suspicious. Between Muslim and Israeli there is no love lost.
Amazing documentary! Thank you so much!
Wouldn't it be nice if we had ALL the ancient worlds knowledge via text and symbols. Not just what's left but everything.
I Believe the BIBLE, I truly Believe Everything the BIBLE says, for you can not do anything against the TRUTH But for the TRUTH❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, someone told about the mistranslation of the Reed Sea! I'm impressed.

It was gorgeous to know about buried secrets of Bible especially with Albept Lin.
