I have had the MM8 since I started playing piano in 2009 when I was 15, and I still come back to this video along with the other demo he did for the MM6. He plays some super inspiring stuff in these vids and I love them! He gets me excited about a keyboard I've had for 11 years. Freakin love it. Bert, you rock and your playing is amazing!!
Yes - Its a programmable synth. You can edit any of the presets and make them your own with different filters, envelopes and effects. You can also stack and layer sound too to fatten things up.
I agree man. It's also way overprice considering what all it DOESNT DO. At the core it's just a cheap PSR with some Motif flavored sounds and arps. Yamaha did this a whike back, and called it the DJX.
hey rick i dnt knw hw to sample the sounds, does it sample the sound, i dnt knw hw to loop the sounds, in my keyboard, its not looping the sounds, does it hav a function of copy , past,if i want to record the song then i cant keep playin the drums 4 the whole 5 minutes instead i can loop the beats that i hav composed, but its not workin or m not gettin, can u plz help me sortin out this porblem
Well , yes you can but MM6 already comes with Cubase AI4 in the box and thats loads better than Logic Studio. Anyway, yes - you can control software synths from the MM6.
would this be better thana dx100 or 21, i would be using this for talk box, and beats on the side or would it be btter to buy seperatly, is somthing liek this btter than dx100 since its newer
It's not a sequencer. It's nothing more than an 8 track sketch pad. I would hardly call the MM6's recorder a sequencer because a sequencer will at least loop, copy/paste, and even have one of the most basic functions such as QUANTIZE. The Juno may not have a seq, but it's miles ahead of the MM6 in terms of prof sounds, and pro use. The MM6 is just a cheap PSR arranger. Plus the Juno has editing software that works with software seq's. Sorry, but the Juno is more pro than the MM6.
You would soon get used to the weighted keys. I have had many weighted key type keyboards and really it's only slightly slower than playing a non weighted synth action keyboard. Having said that, in this particular case the MM8 is extremely bad value for money. It's identical to the MM6 apart from the extra keys. Just not worth it.

no - MM6 has synth action non-weighted keyboard. If you want weighted action then the MM8 has weighted action and the same sound quality.

Sure - you can use it with a Mac and the drivers come with it. Just USB to carry MIDI in and out.
MM6 can 'play on its own' without a computer AND can connect to a computer via USB. It can do both.

Get MM6. Its sounds are fatter than Juno-D's sounds. Also, MM6 has a sequencer, Juno-D hasn't it.
