I won this fight by slowing it down. I avoided staggering him til the third phase of the fight by just hiding and charging up overcharge. He was almost staggered at the third phase so I quickly staggered him at the beginning and I used satellite beam and got him down to 15 percent health then summon ifrit after that and that was a wrap. Had swiftcast on curaga for emergency heals in the third phase otherwise first two hide and chakra works. The third phase was the quickest for me due to stagger and level 3 limit
Just gotta learn the fight man. There's a pattern to all of his moves and counterplay, just gotta figure it out and it's really not so bad. He has an elemental weakness, which already gives a great advantage here. All of his most dangerous moves can be prevented by destroying his tendrils in phase 3 with Maximum Fury before he does his worst moves. Every fight has a method.
@haserot Fair enough! We all have that one fight we hate. So far I don't mind any of the bosses design-wise, although I feel they overtuned Rufus a bit. The average player will get wrecked by him haha

Man, Dyne sucks
The story wants you to feel bad for him but he’s such a lil B
A bad part of a good game. Whoever designed this fight should get sacked.

@@Ultinarok47 I ended up beating it fairly quickly. I just don't like how the fight is designed.

I hate it too. Dyne gives attack I cannot dodge, barret take so lottle hp of him. And his red close attack that is impossible to avoid...
Some of these fights are just terrible smh.
