I don't want to compare it with Earth Wind and Fire, but it gives me that particular vibe.
It really does sound like the 80s. The first time I heard it was back in March 2016 I was watching tv with my mom and she was switching too fast between the channels because she was looking for something to watch I remember I saw the Honda Civic 2016 commercial and I briefly heard the part of "don't stop just keep going on I'm your shoulder to lean upon so come on deliver from inside all we got is tonight that is right till first light" followed by the "is it reeeeaaaal now two people become one" right before my mom changed the channel again. Back then I had no idea what the lyrics were I couldn't hear it well so I had no idea what the song was called and it was so frustrating because for me it was literally "love at first listen" with this song and I couldn't find it at all but thankfully nearly 6 years later in November 2021 I finally found this gem and I'm more in love with it than the first time I heard it. I showed this to my mom she also likes it and agrees that it does sound like an 80s song. It's one of those songs that kind of gives you a nostalgic vibe/feeling. I'm 21 and I like 80s music and songs that sound like the 1980s and if this song would have existed back then I think it definitely would have fit into the category for sure. 🤍❤🔥🔥💯

Let me just tell you my story! this group / band I had never heard of because I am in the U.S..but When I would go to the mall some of the stores would play this song. It may have been satulite radio. I would ask who is this and what's the name of this song. the people in the store didn't know. but every time I would go to the mall I would here this song but never on the radio where I live. now I listen to rap and all of that. I wanted to find this song so bad but I couldn't find it! I only had what I thought were the lyrics because I couldn't make out what they were saying because the store volume radio wasn't but so loud. IT TOOK ME TWO YEARS TO FIND THIS SONG OMG! I knew they were not a American singing group for the simple fact that I couldn't find the song. It was 2 YEARS BEFORE I FOUND THE SONG! I called radio stations researched couldn't find it..but when I did and this was two years ago before it was played in a commercial. I was just playing this song for two days straight every time I got in my car! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS SONG! IT'S ONE OFF MY FAVORITE SONGS IN THE WORLD! I HAVE A REALLY GOOD EAR FOR MUSIC! When I heard this song the first time I automatically knew it was sonething special! then found out the song had been out for 4 or 5 years already. Never heard it in the states... It's at the top of the list for favorites! I sing this at karaoke! I mean I absolutely Looooooooove this song! It nakes me happy!

His mic was live but the backing recording was probably mixed in a lot louder than his live vocal.
Andrés García you can only do so much live. you can't song three different parts with one Mic. At dom performances he uses multiple microphones to get different effects, but at a big tv studio they just have a guy behind the scenes pushing buttons to get special effects. The guitar and drums were likely live. The guitar was at least very convincing. There simply were not enough performers to cover all the vocals, so it was either synthesized live or behind the scenes. there's a lot that goes on that most people don't know about.
I dont see any reason they need to play this song live. This is not a their live show, this is just a a playing just one song on tv-show.
