Waimea Apartment Two, Scarborough South Bay

I stayed here to see-in the new year; Yuletide 2024~2025.
The experience was horrendous from start to finish. You will see an interesting piece of feedback and my response to it on AirBnB. In essence:
There were horrendous levels of noise, from start to finish, from the host's other guests on the floor directly above this apartment.
There was not enough hot water to wash up or shower.
The tray in the shower cubicle was filthy.
I was cold for the first three days staying here, until I finally worked out, unassisted, how to adjust the central heating settings.
I tried to have some of these issues addressed by the host and he never attempted to address any of them. Eventually I told the host I was giving up on getting any assistance from him. He chose to interpret this as 'rudeness', in his long-winded invective on AirBnB. This, after I'd chosen to be discreet about the truly awful experience and let it rest, without broadcasting the horrors on AirBnB. My thanks for this discretion was essentially an unusual lack of honesty and integrity from the host, in the shape of a semi-literate volley of invective.
I left here a day early, because I could not bear it here any longer. I stayed elsewhere in Scarborough, the positive feedback from those AirBnB hosts can be seen on AirBnB. Actually they were delighted at my offer to let them help themselves to the video and photos I'd taken for use on their social media sites. This resulted in staying in touch via social media.
If you have the misfortune to choose to stay in this badly run, unpleasant, noisy offering - Waimea Apartments - then I wish you luck. You are going to need it, especially if you expect assistance, honesty, or integrity from the host.
You are far more likely to experience mean spirited, small minded spite.
