    Dear WestHobbiesRC, thank you very much for this great video. I own a Blade Infusion 180 smart and a Spektrum NX8. I love this heli very much and after some flights I'm starting to explore the forward programming. May I ask you a question regarding the sub-menu throttle? There's a value of 65 at Hover. According to my opinion this value means that at 65% of pitch the heli will hover. So I have 65% of pitch for descending and "only" 35% for ascending. Is my opinion right or can you explain this value Hover: 65? I've changed this value to 50 to have equal values for descending and ascending. Thank you very much and have a nice day. Best regards, Markus.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! So that value is throttle percentage for head speed not for pitch. Your pitch is done in the pitch curve. A linear pitch curve would be an equal amount of positive and negative pitch with a 0° pitch in the middle you can adjust curve to have more or less pitch to your liking. But the 65% value in the throttle submenu in forward programming is for RPM of the rotor speed.

    • @markuslang6695
      @markuslang6695 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 Okay, got it. Thank you very much. But if the value "Hover: 65" is throttle percentage for head speed, this is only for Normal Mode, because in Flight Mode 1 and Flight Mode 2 the throttle percentage for head speed is fixed f.e. to 80% or 100%. Am I right or am I confusing everything? May I ask you another question: In the same sub-menu "throttle" there's an offset for each flight mode (0 for Hold, -12 for Normal, - 18 for Flight Mode 1 and - 32 for Flight Mode 2). What's the meaning of this offset, what's its function? Thank you very much and have a nice day. Best regards, Markus.

    Hello! Fine Videos you made for Infusion 180! Thanks a lot.
    May I ask you a question for tail setup?
    Settings normal mode:
    Proportional: 80
    Integral: 40
    Derivative: 80
    During start the heli rotates counter clockwise and has hard tendency to tip to the right side.
    During flight there is only a slight rotation left counter clockwise.
    Settings stunt mode 1:
    Proportional: 65
    Integral: 45
    Derivative: 80
    During flight the heli has a hard rotation counter clockwise
    Start at the moment I cannot say.
    Settings stunt mode 2:
    Proportional: 60
    Integral: 50
    Derivative: 80
    During flight the heli has a slight rotation counter clockwise
    Start at the moment I cannot say.
    Can you explain what proportional, integral and derivative settings influence? Do you have a recommendation to correct that behaviour?

      okay, so are you using Auto level? does the tail seem to be working properly? sounds more like a tail motor issue. turn off auto level and that will help with the tip on take off and might fix the tail issue. also are you running the stock head? the head block has vibrations and causes the tail to have erratic behavior.

    wait, if you change the connector on your battery don't you also have to change the heli's connector to IC2?
    Oh wait, you got this first-gen? so they sent a battery with a connector that was incompatible with the heli? so they included an adapter cable AND the IC2 connector if you wanted to solder it yourself?
    I just ordered a 180 Infusion and the batteries I ordered with it were already IC2 so all I needed was a couple IC2 -> IC3 adapters so the batteries can charge on my IC3 charger.

I set up my DX6 G2 according to the setup instructions. I did everything per the book but can't get the main rotor to spin in normal mode or stunt 1. All the other control surfaces move correctly. In stunt 2 mode, the main rotor spools up as it should. I reached out to Horizon Hobby, and the guy on chat support told me to create a new model and set it up from scratch. I did that and am still having the same issues. I checked the throttle curve, etc, and it's all correct. Any suggestions? The guy I bought it from had the same problem. I think it was never flown. But you'e familiar with both i think i heard you said in some video, and im wondering if these would be totally devastating and just render a crash first seconds, or if its quite the similarity to 'em... i got half a mind to try. Very good question! I know on my maiden flight video I’m definitely going to touch on the safe needing to be enabled. For someone like myself I prefer it to be off, I personally don’t believe in using auto level for any period of time. But for the absolute beginner it does help. But at the same time it can be very damaging to. Meaning that you can get too used to that auto level section and it can really mess you up as you progress. So it is a good thing and a bad thing at the same time in my opinion but I definitely think it should’ve been touched on in the manual and or released video somewhere. And it wasn’t just this model like I said the new fusion 180 Smart is the same way. Of course it is extremely easy to do but regardless it should’ve definitely have been active from the beginning or at least mentioned in a manual minimal

    So if I get a new transmitter for my blade 230s do I need to get a receiver for it so that it will bind??

      No you will not, you can use any spektrum radio or any radio with DSMX/DSM2 protocol. You can bind the 230 right up.
