    I had one until I moved. Accidentally left it. So now I will get another one. These are the easiest plants to propagate as well.

      They are easy to propagate and relatively easy to take care. The only problem is - they are very difficult to find.

    Thank you very much for this video. I have this plant and have abused it terribly (in its original small pot for several years - no nutrients). I've just repotted and the information you provided concerning water needs will help me immensely. I will watch your other videos.

      If you kept the plant growing for several years, it means the plant was not neglected. Be very careful with changing everything suddenly. I wish you success and plenty of smelly flowers soon!

    Loved the video. I'm anxiously awaiting for my flower bud to open. I was given a stalk not knowing which plant it was almost two years ago. I managed to guess it was an Orbea, but was still waiting to confirm my id with the flower. Here in Brazil we have so many varieties of Asclepiadaceae! I am an avid collector. 🥰🥰🥰

    I used to keep those back home, I might just get one or two again. I have lots of Hoya but my love still is Stapeliads.

    Do you mix your own potting soil? What's in it and the ratios of each?

    • @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887
      @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use compost mixed with very coarse sand. And a little bit of perlite for aeration.

      The best plants are usually available at the sales and auctions organized through a local succulent and cactus club.

    love the video and such a beautiful plant. how old do these plants have to be to bloom?

    • @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887

      Tank you for the nice comment!
      The plant can bloom even as a very young specimen, doesn't have to be old.

    My stapelia has got small black spots all over it. It is in the stems and cannot be rubbed off.
    It still responds well to watering and light however the black spots seem to be getting worse. Some people have said it happens sometimes and it will go away after a while and others have said that the plant will eventually die. Any idea of what this is?

    • @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887
      @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are very moody plants. Try to root a stem section without the spots and this way you'll have a new plant in case your original plant doesn't survive. Please let me know how things are developing.

    Why is it that the end of the branches turn to yellow, am I watering it too much. It’s blooming so I gave them water every week,since its in the south window, gets lots of sun.

    • @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887
      @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Watering once a week during the growth season is a good thing as long as you let the plant get dry before the next watering. Are you using fertilizer? Maybe you are using a solution that is too strong?
      I hope the yellow colour goes away.

    Mine is wrinkly and is not green but purple.. Why?

    • @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887
      @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Without seeing your plant I would guess that it is wrinkly because it doesn't have enough water, and purple because it has too much light.
      I hope it helps, please let me know how things are going.

    does anyone know how often a bud is created? or is there a specific season? I've had mine since February and I haven't seen anything

    • @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887
      @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might try to water it with a very diluted fertilizer to make it bloom. Half of the recommended dose or less of a balanced (20:20:20) fertilizer.

      I keep mine on a window sill facing south in full sun. It began blooming in October and is still blooming in December. I don't know if it is the season or if the conditions are just right.

    Can you help me, my flower seems dry, should i keep it on the south side of the apartment, next to the window or in a shade. It's Autumn now so it's not very sunny. The temeperature in the room is never below 18° C. Also i think that is from too much water, do you agree? Your video is very helpful, a knew already about the fowl smell 🤣

    • @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887
      @przyrodawmieszkaniu2887  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish I could help you!
      It is very difficult, even impossible to give advice without actually seeing the plant. It your intuition tells you it has too much water - try to water it less and see what happens.
      Please keep me posted how the plant is doing.
