    *Correction*
    These don't have two separate drivers. They use a rectangular racetrack style driver with the dimensions of 20mmx11.5mm which covers a wider area but indeed is a single dynamic driver.

    Soundcore has really been killing it with releases lately and making more of a name for themselves. To this day they remain as my favorite brand for audio.

    The Tozo Open Buds have the same kind of rotatable hook design but those ones can rotate up, down, inwards and outwards. Great to see SoundCore partially adopting this, but I wish they would have the inwards/outwards option as well, because on the Tozo's it makes a hell of a difference to the sound when you place them at the exact angle that fits you.

    Open ear style buds are so much better than the ones that constantly fall out of your ears, and they tend to still sound fantastic. Don't need to pause music to talk to someone unless you've got the volume up high. In which case it's probably too loud anyway.

    Very intriguing release. As a longtime cyclist, this style of earbuds is on my radar, especially now that the features and sound have improved. The mics sound good too.

    I actually gave back my Openrun Pro 2 for these. While I kinda miss the singular device going around my head as that did fit just slightly better, the aerofit 2 are better in almost every other way. Sound, volume, battery life, are significantly better than what Shokz made. I'm not a connoisseur of open ear headphones but I can easily hear my surroundings. (Provided you're not blasting the volume lol) And I love the addition of the Gaming Mode, which does work very nicely with my Nintendo Switch and my Razer Edge with COD Mobile.
    My only complaint is the touch controls are very sensitive. Simply touching the little 'bean' immediately has it respond. Hopefully an update can fix this but I'm very happy with these.

    3:10 I don't think it's a 2-driver system; it's a single driver, but since it's rectangular, they put the size of it as 20mm × 11.5mm (L x W), unlike circular drivers where you just need one number for the diameter.

    Received these today. First pair of open air earbuds. I'm at work and going on 3hrs of continuous wear. I think I really like them. Honestly they are plant loud enough and certainly comfortable enough. Controls are responsive for sure. Think I'm going to really like these. If any questions feel free to ask me. Good to know, so I just want to know if the sound is rich enough to watch a movie or make calls in doors cus I think I’m tired from using ingest AirPods like my Apple air pods 2, I hate silicon tips as they irritate my ears so I’m just curious about how reliable open EarPods are for watching a movie won my iPhone or making calls. I RETURNED THE Soundcore C40i. Very uncomfortable for me. Wore for 4 days minimum of 4 hours per day and just painful.
      Now I have the TOZO OpemEarRing. Going on 3 days and no pain. Much better design. Better sound, louder. Wish they had a button but the touch is pretty good. But these are great. Much better than the other two I had

    Great review as always, Keith.
    I remain skeptical about this type of earbud, though. I know that open ear earbuds are important for some people who don't like to have stuff in their ears. That's fair enough. But I can't shake the feeling that if you're going to have open ear earbuds, you have to price and spec them realistically.
    For most people, open ear earbuds exist so you can hear your surroundings and not have stuff in your ears. (If you were okay with having stuff in your ears, you could use in-ear earbuds and just go in transparency mode.) So I'm glad that these don't come with ANC, but I don't think they should have LDAC, either. For the kind of listening you're going to be doing with open earbuds, I don't think that really makes sense, unless you're trying to pad the sticker price (which I think is what's going on here, frankly). I could see maybe $60 for these because of the wireless charging and the decent bass (which is impressive, given the open style) but $100 seems like a lot too much.

    • @deanhatescoffee
      @deanhatescoffee 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      LDAC *could* be useful if you were using these in a very quiet environment, but I hear what you're saying - for 90%+ of users, they're not going to use LDAC (or be able to hear the difference) with this kind of headset anyway.

  • @Hookmeister
    @Hookmeister 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Would these be good for cycling? I want to hear my surroundings, not having something jammed into my ears. The issue is the outside wind noise is crazy loud when I ride wearing my standard AirPods. Much quieter with nothing in my ear.

    Is this an upgrade to aerofit pro?

    • @KinnArchimedes
      @KinnArchimedes 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Aerofit Pro will be better in some things, battery life for instance is 40% better at 14hours.
      Other things the AF2 will do better, like Driver-To-Ear positioning, max decibel(loudness), Wireless case charging option, touch interface rather than buttons(Not necessarily better).
      As for the overall sound, assuming identical performance, simply being able to better direct it to your ear canal will produce fuller sound with better Bass presence.
      I only have Aerofit Pro. So I can't compare call quality(noise cancelling/voice quality, etc).
      One more plus over the Aerofit Pro is that it's priced cheaper 25-33% cheaper than the Pros.
      Also slightly better Dust/Water resistance overall rating.
      When i can get it in Australia on the official website, I may give them a chance too. If I like em, give my Pros to someone as a gift. Or vice versa.
      Picky Audio youtube channel ranks these at #1 on its current list of over-earbuds. Scoring 92/100. Aerofit Pros on same list was 83/100.

    If you're limited to one OWS to buy, go for it
    LDAC is a game changer.
    The ear unit shape is pretty like Shokz Open Fit Air and it seems to be very comfortable.
    I got one in white.
    There's a sound profile (check more) "balanced" which is perfect for me.
    Don't expect very low end (30Hz and below) much like other OWS
    Moreover, you don't have to "reset" the adjustment before putting back to charging box.
    I give 95/100 due to exceptional audio and comfort (Open Fit Air is 94/100; Open Fit is 92/100)
