Just what I was thinking. I remember that I was so appalled by the audio back when it released, that I never played much of Gran Turismo 5/6. The game still looks fine in 2024, in my own opinion, although I have never understood the difference between standard models and premium models. But nothing in the game compares to the horrendous audio quality.
@INIPNJohannesVanDamI don't think so. While the files were incredibly in kilobytes, it's the sound directors that have the problem, especially since Kaz at that time wasn't heavily involved. But they've made a good sounds at a later date. Subaru VGT, Senna's Lotus F1, Volkswagen VGTs, etc. You can take a look at the mod someone have made. There are few sample here.
UGH, everytime I watch videos like this, there's always THAT ONE GUY who pretend that devs smoke, while in reality THEY DON'T! Your generation is too degenerative.
Yes, in fact it is completely incorrect, since the spoiler actually deploys slowly to avoid problems with sudden changes in aerodynamics, but it looks cool.
Only GT and The Crew managed to replicate or almost replicate how it really shifts. The rest made it shift like a single clutch automated manual, wherein IRL it has DCT which shifts seamlessly.
Race Driver GRID with half of the cars reusing the same V8 engine sound lmao Good content still. Will you apply widescreen patches to older NFS games if they'll be showcased again?
Tbh, Electronic Arts when associates with some awesome companies like Ghost, Frostbite and also Criterion Games, they make the best sound audio of real life cars (example like Lexus LFA car sound in NFSMW 2012) Polyphony Studios (which Gran Tourismo game studio) have some problems on car sound (actually it's not a problem) had not so sastifying sound at all. But overall, EA have some great gaming studio associates that makes older version of NFS because of its time.
I'm not sure what the older Gran Turismo audio designers were smoking.

I like that the backfire on the grid veyron comes from all exhausts
GT is the only series where the car's rear pushed down when the wing comes on.

This thing hits 300 k about the same time some cars finish the quarter mile.

Despite getting so much hate about the handling mechanics, GRID 2 has better car sounds than Race Driver GRID
@@_vivek10_ every GRID apart from the first one has incredible sound design

Hi can you compare the handling and braking of cars and also do comparisons in not-primarily-driving-based-but-has-cars-in-it games
One question remains: What game has the most realistic sound for the veyron?
Buggati Veyron top speed in gt5: 302 mph
Bugatti veyon top speed in gt6: 356 mph in v100 310 mph in v10.2

Chrysler is now Italian, because it's now part of Fiat Alfa Romeo Holding.
