Wow, a lot more pavement showing, since last videos . Amazing all those cars parked on road.
Must be a very good ski season. I think spring 🤔 will find Mammoth yet. Still be careful. Love your dog 🐕, what a life. 😊

Thanks for the tour! Be safe...I wonder what Lake Sabrina outside of Bishop looks like. It's got to be amazing. I love the area. My dad used to live in Bishop when he was alive. Mr McCoy was one of his neighbors. Lots of amazing memories in the whole Eastern High Sierra area!

I / we have to get up to Mammoth Lakes just to experience that wonderful heavy snow fall on the ground before it melts and is gone.
The Ritter range has to be spectacular with this snow, The spring melt will be spectacular down in Red's Meadows flowing down and to the west.
This is something we will only see a few times or less in out lifetimes.

I spent part of my childhood in Mammoth. And was back to work at the lift in 1970. Then I got my draft letter. But I joined the Navy instead. So-- I appreciate the tour you just gave. And I appreciate that the titles were up long enough to read. Anyway, geographically I was lost. In addition to SO MUCH BUILDING I think a number of place names have changed.
However what I could relate to was a heavy winter in Mammoth. Not quite as bad as this one, but our winters back then were no slouches either.
So thanks for a good video.

I think Rin is ready for green grass. So nice to see the road. That was neat seeing the person kite surfing (?). I hope you & your family & everyone are safe from potential flooding when this all starts to melt. So much hard labor has gone into clearing roofs from homes to businesses, & that many more need to be done. Never ending.

This is the first video you've created that shows parts of town & open roads.
After seeing the price you paid for fuel, I'm going to make sure I don't need any gas during my visit, color me "thrifty".
I've also decided to plan my visit AFTER the ski season has closed so I don't have to deal with all the traffic. Convict Lake will be included in my itinerary.
    Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada

When I was 5 years old in 1968 we used to go camping at Lake Havasu, when Bullhead city was basically a trailer park along the river!
There was a little Marina by the airport we'd park in a cul-de-sac by the water ..
I got up first one morning and walked out onto the little dock and watched my nightcrawler get inhaled by a Large Mouth Bass that's head was bigger than mine! Some old man gave me a dirty look like he'd been trying to catch that bass for years! It snapped the line!

This swarm of tourists from southern caliornia and the LA area are what keepsll Mammoth Lakes area alive. They are willing to paying maybe $300 or more per night for a weekend room in Mammoth. They will pay top dollar to ski the mountain they have dreamed about all the work week down south.
They will spend top dollar for a great dinner out in Mammoth with drinks and tips. The next day it is breakfast and do it all over again. It is a huge influx of money into Mammoth Lakes after these huge storms.
It should be a great spring for skiing and snowboarding into June and beyond.
That is what I remember about northeast wisconsin after a heavy snow storm with the roads plowed the next day with warmer temps and lots of
sunshine. The roadways dry very fast revealing a clear and dry roadway just in the summer. Clear and dry pavement is the best for winter travel up from Bishop to Mammoth Lakes and return for the safety and speed for all.
These guys did a great job clearing the highways and roads in and near Mammoth Lakes for vehicle travel. These huge snow hills and piles can easily last into June or July with a little more snow fall. There is more snow coming this next week.

Hello from Wyoming, Michigan. A little history info. There was and maybe still is a town in New York State and Pennsylvania as that was or still named Wyoming in each state. People in Wyoming, Pennsylvania left there in the 1840's/1850's to this West Michigan area. They liked their prior town's name so they used it here as Wyoming Township. Later became the city of Wyoming, Michigan in 1959. So this city I live in wasn't named after the state of Wyoming.
Now back to Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort/Mammoth Lakes area. Why is all those vehicles parked on both sides of the road from about 4:12 going forward in this video? Is there no parking where these lodges are? Are these day skiers/snowboarders that parked their vehicles on this road? Maybe they should invest in making parking garages where there these 3 story lodges are. I thought as a joke that every skier/snowboarder in the entire state of California is there at Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort!!! No wonder why this resort has 30 some lifts. What is yearlong residential population in Mammoth Lakes? In the ski season of late October to July, what does the population of Mammoth Lakes goes up to?
Finally, I seen gasoline selling at $3:23 at Speedway the other day here in my city.

He can answer as a Mammoth resident, but as a So Cal resident, Mammoth is the best ski resort on the West Coast. Everybody from San Diego and LA goes to Mammoth. There are local resorts in LA but not on the level of Mammoth. Best terrain, snow, and no mountain driving. Mammoth is a year-round resort, and skiing will go on until the snow melts, which this year it might be year round. It's privately owned, so there's no State or National park leases that make Mammoth shut down. They also have downhill mountain bike trails in the summer. Also, Eastern Sierra is known for its trout fishing, and Mammoth is the epicenter because of all the accommodations, but there are campgrounds everywhere. The airport he was at in the beginning has direct flights from LA, Orange County, and San Diego, so that should tell you something. As far as the parking, it's always been like that. There are buses you can catch from in "town" to main lodge but there access to lifts from where you see the parking start at "The Mill". Mammoth is a world-class year-round resort!

Mammoth is a tourist town all year around with outdoors activities, fishing, camping, hiking, backpacking. The town has good sources to get money. Is one of the most beautiful places you can see in your life if you love Nature. Rivers and lakes surrounded by high peaks

I wish the best for people in the Sierra Mountain towns like the Lake Tahoe area and Mammoth Lakes area. I heard this before that folks from the S.F. area go skiing at the Lake Tahoe Resorts and L.A. and those folks go to Mammoth. I'm just an outsider of this area viewing and reading stories of people, and life out there in California, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Idaho and Montana.

The big machines down to the people with shovels are going to be paid for their time/fuel/maintenance. Are people going to have to take loans out? It is crazy and I feel for yourself and everyone in that area. The teams of snow removal people are doing unbelievable work same for the emergency services too.

Have you considered that people need the capabilities of a truck, and that the incremental cost of driving it around when it isn’t loaded doesn’t justify the costs of another vehicle?

Have you thought that maybe the reason people don’t do things the way you do isn’t that they are stupid, but that not everyone’s life is exactly like yours?
