Thank you so much for making this video! I got a letter from the department of state saying I'm not subject to the 2 year requirement, do I need a notice of action from USCIS before filing for adjustment of status?

Hey I am a j1 intern I currently have 4 months leaving on my program and I am married to a us citizen. Additionally I am subjected to the 212e do I have enough time to attain my waiver without going out of status,?…..will I be at a disadvantage if I overstay during the waiver waiting?

You could be eligible for other waivers beyond the no objection waiver. It also depends on what your J1 visa was for, ie was it for medical education or training in the U.S. or for a different program. If it was not for medical education or training then a no objection might be possible but you should consult with an attorney to discuss the specifics of your unique situation. U.S. law does not permit foreign medical physicians who acquired exchange visitor (J-1) visa status on or after January 10, 1977, to receive graduate medical education or training to use this option.

Is the application for the waiver along with the application of the J1 visa or after the J1 visa has been approved? Thanks!
