This workout only has 4 exercises and it's going to be the PERFECT workout to build your chest... I use a couple of intensity techniques (one that I created myself)... and pair it with a range of movements that target different areas of the chest for a complete workout... Give it a shot on your next chest workout!
How does the first exercise, CHEST PLATE SQUEEZE, help chest growth? Because of gravity and angle, it puts more pressure on the shoulder and not much on the chest.
The squeeze is more for the shoulders. As a sixty year old ,who lifts, this puts a lot of pressure on the shoulders, no matter how you squeeze. Flies are sooi much better.
I’m surprised this channel doesn’t have much more subscribers. What I like about it is the lack of fancy previously unheard of exercises that require complex gym equipment. I’ve never worked out at a gym and use only dumbbells,a stationary bike and bench. The only time I don’t exercise has been when recovering from an injury. Before encountering this channel over a year ago I had learnt THE HARD WAY THROUGH EXPERIENCE 😀 a lot of the advice given here for us older guys. I’m 56 now and had always felt like a 20 year old until I hit 45. Great video. You guys are really putting out quality stuff.
Great chest workout! Adding to my routine!! Please show similar video’s for a complete total body workout. Arms, back, biceps/triceps, shoulders/traps, etc… Thank you!💪🏾💪🏾💝
I loved it, I did it right along with you....pausing the video as I went along. That got for earbuds ! I will definitely be adding these specific drills to my routine and I'm a young 63..
Sir, you should have atleast 12million subscriber. You're a genuine trainer not somebody whose intention is just to show off their "bragging rights" on TH-cam to gain attention, you sir,is an honest trainer willing to help those people in their 40's & 50's who might think that lifting weights are no longer advisable for them.I'm very thankful for this channel, you're a very encouraging person, may God Almighty continually bless you with a healthy body & spirit! (from the Phillipines)
Thank you so much for sharing the simplicity of this amazing chest workout. It is encouraging to feel like it’s not too late for me to build muscle at my age. I’m 63 and have mentally accepted the challenge of building my chest. I will keep you posted on my progress. Again, I thank you for your support.
Gary, I've incorporated your chest exercises without a brnch and I'm loving the pump! But now, I'm going to include this bench version as well. I'm over 70 and I need the muscle pump to fill the saggy skin that comes from age-related muscle loss and the loss of moobs, due to Testogreens effectiveness . Im loving it!!
Thanks Gary, I'm 74 , these are the greatest, I've had a shoulder replacement and knowing how to exercise without heavy weights is great. I pick one a day and getter done.
All exercises are very excellent and brilliant sir doing the workout of chest workout and keep it up and keep training hard and be strong always sir and stay safe and stay healthy and be positive and happy
I'm sixty and do at least 5 different exercises twice a week for chest. I've put 3/4 of an inch in my arms and chest in the last 9 months. Omit the squeeze exercise, as it targets the shoulders. Instead, concentrate on more flies and especially the incline press and fly.
The tricon sets is a monster I tried it today for the first time. However I did mines on the mat. I used 50pd DB. It was tough. I’m going to see how I feel the next couple of days
I'm on a path to lose 37kgs so far in 2 months I've lost 15kgs. Will definitely try this chest work out. I'm turning 56 in October. Want to reach my goal by December
Great content! I am thinking of changing my workout plan. Currently, I do three sets with ladder reps doing the entire body. I then rest two days. I am thinking of changing my program whereby I focus on muscle group. For example: Monday: Legs Tuesday: Back Wednesday: Arms Thursday: Chest Each day I would do four different exercises, three sets each. What do you think?
I loved this WO until I got to the push-ups. I'm 65 yrs old and have had shoulders and knees operations. I'd be lucky if I can do 5 push-ups. So what can I do as an alternative? Thanks Gary!
Brilliant Garry ! Keep the vids comeimg ......oh ye ...thanks for Trying to kill me off ! Lol lol ... Ime 62 an do this method !! John in Wakefield , England !
Hi . I m 42 and I have already accepted by seeing your numerous videos that doing only the basic compound movements exercises are enough ,if done 3 times per week. Of crs clean eating , nutrition and hydration , sleep are as imp as the workout discipline. My question is that then how to fit in these chest only or legs only exercises in the schedule? To sustain workout habits, 45-60 min per day should be more than enough.
I do like your videos and techniques will definitely keep following you I'm trying to shape my chest need to lose a bit of fat on my lower chest can you help
Your videos are awesome! I truly appreciate your attention to alignment and injury prevention. Keep your content coming and I will definitely be viewing. By the way the information you provide is truly inspiring and invaluable to the over 40 female weight lifter as well😉😊
Another great video! The only exercise I struggle with is chest flys on an incline bench. If I have to include those in a chest workout, I prefer to do those on the floor. They irritate my shoulders.
Thanx Gary for the great video. I like your style and you inspire me to look my best. You are spot on with people noticing a nice chest. Keep up the awesome vids. One question, I do circuit training at home and I do push-ups between (about 25 reps) sets. Should I wait to do them separate to get gains, or continue doing them between sets? Holla back. Thanks again. Peace.
For the upright bench flies…This type of exercise (The fly) place too much pressure and risk of injury on the shoulders, especially someone over age 60? Is there an alternative to that would target the chest? ~ Thanks ~
Just got back from doing this workout. I didn’t think it was going to be that intense… I can admit when I am wrong! I won’t tell you how many sets it took me to get through the 100 push-ups…
Gary Yea the more the better. Get in get out of the gym keeps you motivated to come back the next day. With that type of exercises I can fit in a 15 min cardio work out row cycle and stepper. Yo bro I tell lots of people about your site. 👍🏻💪🏻

Great video I wish I new where you lived lol I would come shake your hand and work out with you 💪🦍👑
With the trichon exercises, is that 3 set of 10 or 12 reps? Cheers.

Hi Gary, thank you for the video...great stuff! One question. When doing the Tricon Bench Press...how long do you recommend to rest between each set?
Is there an exercise I can substitute for the push-ups? Broke my wrist a few years ago and doing push ups is tough

Super stuff Gary! Excellent advice as always, really appreciate it 👍👍
I have to say tricons are a game changer. I'm 38 and I started doing them about four months ago and my chest is in better shape than when I was 25 👍👍

I use your mechanics for my first set... I mix it in with my regular routine.. counting the 1- 1,000 can get extreme 😫☺️
BTW at 77 getting down to do push-ups, getting back up is the problem. Have an alternative?
Will this method work using 2 15Lbs. Dumbbells... AmenRa'

Gary great chest workout I am definitely liking 👍🏼 your workouts 💪🏽 keep on bringing them. Great workouts for the whole body 💪🏽 👌🏼
This is the only fitness channel men need period!!
I don’t have bench. Can you show how to do these exercises with a ball. I got myself a huge ball.
Thanks
I've had a rotator cuff tear and my shoulders won't let me perform a bench press with a bar. I have to use two dumbells
what I like most about your workouts is the efficiency in which you use lightweight in maximising your results.
Just got back from doing this workout. I didn’t think it was going to be that intense… I can admit when I am wrong! I won’t tell you how many sets it took me to get through the 100 push-ups…
I'm 57 this chest workout is awesome! Thank you for doing this!
I’m going to try. The bench press does not stimulate much growth for me.
Gary
Yea the more the better. Get in get out of the gym keeps you motivated to come back the next day. With that type of exercises I can fit in a 15 min cardio work out row cycle and stepper. Yo bro I tell lots of people about your site. 👍🏻💪🏻
