    I have thought the same thing since first building in 76... we should have a "base" (as a player home) and then a smaller "camp" (we move as we explore) for options. That would be a really welcome change if ever introduced. As always, thanks for sharing your build concepts.

    I hadn't really thought much into making a more permanent homestead, as I've been searching for better weapons or whatnot... But, your video has me reconsidering going to this option now. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

      Yeah but fuck (buttfuck lol) is worldwide. I feel ballbag is more British regional lol. He also dropped something like "ball ache" in this one haha. I've never heard "ball ache" in my life lmao but I'm gonna start using it daily :D

      Up in Scotland we say "bawbag" which is the ballsack. So yeah, it is British regional, I guess.

    I built my own fort behind the monorail elevator by that junk pile. I used that arch under the big structure as an entrance and surrounded everything with concrete walled those walls use up WAY to much space on the build limit but it’s fun. I even have most of my stuff inside that ruined monorail elevator. I had to build an ugly staircase up to it, wish we had elevators, but it is my proudest base yet. Even have a moth man billboard on the front

    Like I said earlier to you on Twitter, I've been going back to Fallout 4 to fill my building itch. 76 isn't doing it for me yet. When they add more assets, I'll probably try again. I have like 3 or 4 videos I recorded that I never edited or uploaded cause I just lost motivation, but Fallout 4 is still getting me excited. You should try something in Fallout 4 again.

      seems fallout 76 is huge grind to maintain weapons and purchase plans ..after i get my signs and letters plans for 3-5 charactors i getting soo burned out that was fucking 8900 caps for one plan .

    • @gunslingerplays
      @gunslingerplays 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gasdorficmuncher9943 plus, to my knowledge, there's no way to generate caps passively like you could do with shops income from F4 settlements. You can only rely on lockpicking everything, selling and a couple of perks

    There’s a nice riverside location just south of the penitentiary I’ve had my eye on. It’s by the river. Looks lovely.

    I'm also bothered with the blocky look of most player structures. I wanna do more lore friendly builds but i really have to look for what is possible to do with the pieces we have atm.

    Thank you Davey, you just inspired my next camp. I think I might add one or two corner towers like your fort a couple months ago. I really like the concept of a castle/compound-type build.

    Hello, Davey. Great to hear your chipper voice again. Now my weekend feels complete. ;-) Clever base idea. Given where you're building, I'd have liked to see it in action as well. Some snallygaster combat footage of the base defense would have been awesome. Hope you have a great week. Cheers!

    Looks nice (and stairs are still annoying to build with).
    I don't think I would want to _live_ in a place like that, but a fortified resource spot would be good.
    By the way, Wasteland Dovahkiin has a video on how to build walls all the way to the ground! I haven't had reason to try the technique myself, but it seemed reasonably simple to do.

  • @beccareynolds5656

    Always love your builds!! Your treehouse is my fave 😁 Wasteland dovahkiin found a way to sink walls into the ground (not quite freehand like you said) quite a cool technique you might be interested in though 😊👍

    I use the workshops to do my experimenting with building, so long as the resources are green it means you're using the workshops resources, white means yours...great for playing with the build and practicing before your permanent builds ;)

    11:45 I do like your idea about the pillars Davy. 22:25 Great looking build Davy an odd place to place it though, I guess you could use the same idea in the Cranberry bog too.

    I'm not sure build limits will increase due to server strain created by giant builds. I hope I'm wrong though.

    • @norespawns
      @norespawns  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      they don't need to make them giant - just give everyone half again or perhaps double what is available now.

    I built a house over a lead deposit in the toxic valley, very close to water and enough space inside to plant my tatos, corn and mut fruit. Also have respawning gold, aluminium, silver and coal deposits. The only real problem is the rate of radio activity when I go to collect the water.

    If Bethesda could just take the minigame of settlement building from Fallout 4, and make a full game out of it, make settlements the focus of the game basically, include settlement attacks, and put it in a map like fallout 76, let us build anywhere, let us mod it freely, plus add new dlc building assets once in a while, i would buy it at the drop of a hat, especially if the MMO aspect of Fallout 76 could let me invite friends into my game for personal guided tours.
