Thanks for not going down the smash the glass road . The people that really do this kind of work know that it is always easier to remove one piece of glass and not 20000000 pcs ! Good luck and have fun .
Dang that's cold!! Hope you're staying indoors. The front that's about to come through here will be bringing some of your temps so hopefully it warms up for you :D Thanks for watching and Liking Patrick...it helps with the algorithm... slow n steady lol!
This is going to be AMAZING!!!! Im jumping in with both feet for the ride. Option 2 will definitly kick ass....and show us everything. Btw thanks for not smashing the glass. Have a Merry Christmas... ohh and i really like how u did the engine sounds... watched that part like 4 times....hahaha
@@iNVisionPrototypes Honestly I didn't think yours was too bad especially with your metal skills, trying to find original panels to work with for a 51 is a different story, hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Did a similar build grafting a Volvo P1800 ES on to a 96 Miata chassis. Can't wait to see how this turns out knowing the skill and attention to details that is going to be involved.
I have the original headlight rings, so not sure if that will be left stock.. or they get frenched OR add a set of eyebrows(what you suggested) with a feature that extends back like the 55 Chevy. Soo many ideas running through my head!! :D Thanks for watching
Let see the cutting to prefit and prep work, and your channel is the best way it done. Keep up with the awesome inspiration for other. And Happy New Year to you and the family and friends.
You know me ... I'm old school ... V8 ... low to the ground ... loud ... I've been involved in a few of these kind of builds and they are fun ... like a box of chocolates ... never know what your gonna get ... should make a nice driver though ... it'l be interesting ...
I hear you Joe! And if this 51 was in a bit better shape I'd throw the 351W I've been storing...too bad perhaps the next one. Thanks for watching! btw any issues with comments not getting through?
@@iNVisionPrototypes It was'nt just your site ... had problems with others ... must of been the powers that be messing with me ... seems to be good now
Hi Michael, if the '51 was in better condition and with floors, probably would have done something along the lines of an s10 frame swap. Thanks for watching!! 👍
The rust in the rocker under the rt. rear door is a dead giveaway to a previous quarter panel replacement. I do realize it's a moot point in this case.Just for viewers future referance.
Hi Larry, right rocker is original. It was the left one that was replaced. You'll see how in the next video. This car was literally sitting in the dirt for many years. In any case both are coming off and we will wheel up a fresh set. Thanks for watching.
To keep all the electrical intact for the security system the door handles will be incorporated into the '51's doors...similar to what we did on the M40C.
Though a lot of research and with a little luck I pinched this G35. Yes, wheelbase was one large factor when deciding to do this. The G35 is 2" shorter, but that's not an issue. We'll make it work. Also considered track width/body width as I don't want huge flares stuck onto the body or wheels sticking out. Finally the location of the rear seats in the G are smack on where I need them for when the roof on the 51 gets chopped the rear passengers will still be comfortable...same head clearance as the G had. Thanks for the thumbs up and have a safe and holiday weekend Glenn!
@ looks like another INVision company is closing Dec 21. They appear to be a company making prototypes of products. The confusion was mine. I was trying to find out where you were located. I watched a couple of videos and filled out your on line contact form. I want you to see my sketches and a few photos of my little project; turning a 77 MGB INTO A 54 Packard Clipper Caribbean speedster. Best regards, Larry in Arizona.

I'd like to see your version of a custom with extended quarters, chopped top, headlight eyebrows.

This is definately different, I am used to putting an S10 frame under shoebox so this is interesting.

LOL!!
I'm going to use your method of putty knife/ sawsall glass removal. My method was way more labor I tensive.
👍
Hi Nick Inforditi!
Thanks for the suggestion Tug Tugger! 👍
It would be interesting if you could use the front door handles. When it get painted just pai t body color or even black
To keep all the electrical intact for the security system the door handles will be incorporated into the '51's doors...similar to what we did on the M40C.
Please comment on how you will register the completed vehicle!

I think that's a cool idea. How did you come up with this choice of donor car. Wheelbase ?
