Thank you. That simplifies a very complicated device. However, there are two things I would like to set up on my device and I can't find how to do it. I would like to change the unit from km to UK miles. I would also like to make the pointer arrow bigger. It suddenly went tiny yesterday after some raindrops hit it and it went a bit berserk for a few seconds. I can hardly see the pointer now and I don't know how to enlarge it.

Great intro. Thanks. Is there a key that turns the waypoints off so they do no show on the map? I seem to have lost mine on the current track display. They do show when plugged into the computer in BaseCamp.

I searched a lot and apparently bluetooth works only with other garmin devices, which sucks! do you know any alternative way? i also use it for cycling but it's quite annoying to plug a cable all the time to upload to strava! btw, do you know if it charges batteries like eneloop? thanks a lot a gain!! :)

The Oregon 600 is kinda a big GPS, and mounting it on roadbike I don't see any problems, but on a XC bike or MTB, the vibration of the rocks/dirts/roots may twist the mount up or down, and may even drop the GPS, as the clip that's holding the GPS in place on the mount is plastic.
..not to contradict..I have a device that mounts to my mountain bike handlebars that holds my smart phone..it has never failed (let go of my phone) or slipped out of where I set it originally, even tho I ride like a banshee from hell..and I will not hesitate to use it for my 650t...crashing is another subject..the device is definitely vulnerable under those circumstances...
Hi! Congrat for your explanations! I have learned a lot. But I have two questions. 1) How can I delete/get rid of a previous navigation and start a new one when I am using the map? I cannot find a way to delete thie little blue marker! 2) I have erased by accident the Oregon 600 build in gmapbmap.img. Both, the GPS one and the SD backup one too. Very silly, but I was in a hurry and wanted more space... I couldn´t find a place from where to uplode it again. So, could you help me out? Maybe there is another general free world basemap available I could download. Thank you for your time.
1. In Maps app, you can click Menu button on lower right corner and select "Stop Navigation" to stop the navigation that's currently in progress. Alternatively, you can create a "stop navigation" shortcut in settings to be put on the home screen to stop the navigation. 2. You can download the base map follow the link below, and put it in "Garmin" folder under either the SD card memory or build-in memory of the Oregon 600/650. bit.ly/2ga5aIZ (40mb) And a copy of the City Navigator North America 2017.20 (it's a big 2.7GB file) bit.ly/2ga24Vy You can also download many free topo maps at www.gpsfiledepot.com
When you are setting up the number of icons to put on your main page, anything more than 9 icons will eliminate the test on your icons. This happened to me. Go to the main menu and remove any icons more than 9 when setting up your main page. This will restore your text.

I have a mount from Ram , works good, you can get adapter for bike, or suction (car windshields)
