- In this video I depart from Nicks place near Mesa, Arizona. I head out to Bulldog Canyon in the Tonto National Forest. This area requires a permit which is $6. I get a visit from Rich who is the new owner of my old 91 Chevy G20 van. It was good to see Rich again and very nostalgic seeing my old van again. Seems like a lot longer than 14 months since I switched over to the box van.

i like the changes you made to your van
Have you tried making cast iron pizza? I use a large burrito shell as a crust in the bottom of the skillet, then fill it with the fixings. Preheat the skillet lid very hot, but leave the skillet cold until ready to cook. Then put some coals in the lid and place upside down lid on the skillet when you are ready to cook the pizza. The burrito shell turns into a flaky crust, and the rest is up to your imagination and available ingredients.

You nailed it - who really wants to stay in the big campgrounds with 20 giant RV’s around you; all running generators and warming up their diesels at 7 in the morning. Worse, they block your view. Off grid is the secret !!!!

I spent a week in December hiking the Superstition Mountains, although, I camped at the Lost Dutchman State Park. It's a wonderful place to visit and explore.

I love Tonto! Great area! Try Italian Dressing for a chicken marinade. Nice n' Easy. Put chicken in bag/container, pour in dressing and let sit overnight. I like the desk upgrade.
