The Fox was my first hobby grade RC. I loved that rig, it was stolen out of my garage during a break in. They only took the rig and nothing else. I always feared that it got tossed in the garage. I have some parts for it. I think I have the gear box and some suspension arms, and shock internals. I would gladly donate the parts to you if you like. My old Fox can live on in yours!!!👍👍👍
Wow brother that would be awesome I would definitely put them to good use sucks they stole your rig people are terrible sometimes I don't understand taking things that you didn't own
Boy oh boy, that poor buggy is in a sad state; rode hard and put away wet!😔 That parts cleaner sure did it’s job! Nice work Brent; I’m sure this will be awesome once again when you’re done!👍😊
Man I think the biggest shock for me was seeing those parts after the parts washer wow that does an amazing job .... that looks like hand tool gearbox grease it has good heat resistance and bit lighter than normal grease
Hi there Brent, project Fox restoration is well underway, that was some nasty stuff in the gearbox! 😊😊😊keep up the great restoration. Best wishes to you and the family 😊😊
Awesome stuff Brent brother. Nice to have access to a Parts cleaner. Really did a great job. Looking forward to seeing the next video on this. I think it is worth a couple bucks for this one. :)
I cleaned up one close to that gross today! It seems like they kept refilling the shocks over and over again and never cleaned anything! Thankfully it was in may better shape then yours is. They really went hard with it and bent, cracked and slammed everything! Hope you can source the parts without too much trouble. If I had any I'd send them your way! Not one I have any parts for.
No surprise with the cracks on the rear arms, they look like they are caused by the screw pins. I wonder if there are "E-clip" pins that would fit to remove the stress off those parts, they use standard screw pins on most Tamiya kits so maybe an option.
Yeah Malcom this car was definitely abused its my rainy day project literally lol when I can't be outside I tinker with it its going to take lots of tlc but the e clip is a cool idea I'll have to take a closer look
Jupp car grease, oiled out. But this were the old times. If youhadn't enough money for model grease, go into the cellar and look what daddy's stored there😂

Looks like a project! Tamiya plastics don't seem to age well. Hope you can source all the parts you'll need. Can't wait to see it finished!

@@AdventureTimeRC I have looked and they are called stainless steel shaft sets. It's the case of finding the right lengths.
@BasBoyRC thank you Malcom
Awesome Brent ❤
