In this video I show you the Roland GO:Livecast. This will allow you to stream from almost anywhere without the need to plug into the mains. You will see there is multi camera functionality, mic and aux to get the most out of your smart devices.

Are the aux line input or the mic xlr stereo? Website says yes but comments are saying no
Thanks just looking into this and comparing to ATEM MINI Blackmagic. Questions: Can you do more than two video inputs? eg 3 iPhones or equivalent? Another video said the software crashed all the time - was that an issue for you? Are their 'transitions'? Thanks again

As far as I’m aware it’s limited to one satellite smart device, but I am limited to two so I couldn’t try it. I never had any issue with crashing or problems personally.
I use the atem mini for all my videos and live streams and is great but obviously there are pros and cons to both and I personally wouldn’t compare them like for like as they offer different things. Happy to chat more about it if you need.
Hi Dave, do know why adding the transparent image (PNG format) on Go Livecast works on Android but doesn't work on iPhone? anyone has this issue as well?

This thing looked so cool, and I was ready to contact GAK in the morning for a purchase, but after looking at other TH-cam videos, it seems there's a lot of unhappy customers and Roland haven't pulled their finger out and done anything about it! What a let down!

Thanks Dave, so with this devise there is no need for OBS and sound flower and aggregate devises? Just plug the headphone jack in and you're streaming?
Absolutely. No need for a computer at all. Just a smart device and internet/4G :-)
@@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert Thanks... I use Traktor and getting OBS to recognize Traktor and and get all the settings correct seem like a big round about. I mean that was designed for gamers not DJ's right. How do you find the sound quality of the Roland? Does it have a sound card? I don't see that in the specifications on the Roland site. T H A N K S DAVE!
It is nice a simple. Check out this mix I did using it. See what you think to the sound. I think it sounds pretty good.

Oh and it used the sound card of your equipment and smart devices. No internal sound card.
Do you know a way to record the live stream?
Unfortunately there isn't :-( If you had 1K subs on youtube then obviously it would record and you can then download it but through this app you cannot. The only way I can think of is to record it on your smart device at he same time and then crop it slightly to remove the screen functions. Not ideal but is a crude workaround, especially if you are using something like an iPad,
Noob here. Question....the lag on the video for multi cameras. What’s the deal with that. I’ve tried switcher and the same thing. When it is broadcast or once it’s saved as a video will it sync? Meaning the lag won’t bet there?

With the livecast go they have updated it so it’s better but there is a lag between them you can’t remove unfortunately. If you quickly look at th-cam.com/video/m917veGSZws/w-d-xo.html you’ll see the split second difference. Also as the video in beds into the other one there is no way to adjust in post.

this, I'm sorry to bring it up again...but a worldwide known company
like Roland, coming out with a product, that has a mono (!!!) output in
2019 is just beyond unimaginable and bad in every way possible...was
really excited to get this and i have been using since may (not been
able to work cause of covid and my friend actually bought it for me for a
hefty $250). I am still speechless, how can they do such a mistake! Now
I am stuck with this and even tho I like the video features, (main
stream is with iPhoneX and additional satellite cam is with iPad5thgen
and thats cool) Roland is a music equipment company for the most part
so I am just total clueless, why...anybody had anything to say about
this?

Have you heard that Twitch, FB Live, TH-cam are flagging DJ Sets die to copy-write violations?
Well FB is gonna shut it all down, twitch will allow the love stream but you can’t then put it up afterwards. I always use TH-cam and you get copyright emails but no strikes. The go:Livecast can push out to a RTMP meaning you can choose where to stream. I’ll be doing a video in the next few weeks on multiple streaming using castr.io which also goes to mixcloud. There might be a giveaway as well (sshhh) ;-) lol.

you re dead right but mixcloud and twitch are fantastic to stream live on and then post it on youtube!

This app CRASHES A LOT. I haven’t been successful at streaming with it. I’m so pissed I wasted money.
That’s a shame. Mine never crashed when using it.
