She is releasing an album before her baby is born (probably before july). The album will be all about mental health (and a few bangers on it of course), she received a lot of hate from the past album "Witness" (it wasnt the pop she used to sing back in 2010) and this gatered depression and suicide thoughts so this experience has inspired her to make something about mental health. If you want to check something about the witness era you can react to Chained To The Rhythm, Swish Swish, Bon Appétit and Hey Hey Hey - the whole album is awesome ;)
Her album is supposed to be released this summer but maybe the coronavirus will be a problem... Anyway, katy released 4 different songs in 2019,as a main artist,and these are:365(featuring zedd), Never Really Over, Small talk and finally Harleys in Hawaii. All these songs are really different from each other, never really over is the pop/dance song, 365 is more electronic (not by chance, zedd is DJ), small talk is more chill and harleys has some rnb vibes. Katy said that 2019 was an experiment to see which road was the one to follow for her album. Never really over ws acclaimed by people and it had very good results, with no performances or something more, it did very well, so she understood that this is the right way for her new album. She made this kind of experiment because she didn't put out music for a while, and the Witness era(the most recent for her, in 2017)was very difficult for her. She received hate every hour of every day simply for cutting her hair and for talking about politics. However, Witness sold almost 2 milion copies worldwide, the singles charted well for some time, but the album was also not appreciated by critics (i suggest you to react to this album, for me it's a pearl). This album signed a sort of fracture in her, it caused her to be insecure and that's why she experimented in these years..to see which way was the best way, also in a world in which pop is (unfortunately) declining. Hope you react to all 2019 singles and witness, then maybe you can go to watch her previous music videos too. But slowly ahahahhaha. Basically, they are in a place for healling hearts. She lost her soulmate (the other tattoo in the end of the video) and there they have to grow they heart again with tears - with the sadness, hapiness comes at you again - once they hearts is healed, they drink it and become fully again, but as the song says: Guess its never really over! The half heart on her hand is actually a real tattoo that she got and it's for her hardcore fans she has the "you" in the heart and her fans have "Miss" and that's basically so she can recognise them whenever she's doing concerts and events to stop and chat with them, she does that with everyone pretty much, but if you got a tattoo dedicated to her she'll be sure that you're not one of those get an autograph and sell it on ebay fans :D That's a creative way to get closer with her fans during events and stuff like that i think. Also her newest video are basically like this one people having fun,dance moves etc.. so they are cool and all but if you want to be entertained you should watch anything really from her teenage dream album or PRISM the videos there are pretty much like mini movies so definitely check them out!!! :d
the eyeball tattoo is a way to remember her fourth album Witness, and the flower one she made with her ex-boyfriend John Mayer. the broken heart tattoo was a way to connect with her fans.
