8 years? My parents were 8 years apart. It’s not really weird at all when you take into consideration that they’re both adults... if he had said 16... that’d be a bit weird. But I think when people hear “teen” at the end of an age, they feel uncomfortable. But technically at 19, in America, you’ve been an adult for a year..
I met my husband on my 19 birthday, he was 28. We've been together for 10yrs... Not that big of a deal?

I got incredibly lucky on Tinder and met the most amazing man. However, I also had many long texts sent to me as well as just general ghosting. It was odd at first. I tried to set up dates with the guys who swiped on me but they were self-conscious and avid about taking things slow, then they would send a long text explaining their reasoning behind not going on dates and just stopped talking to me. I hate Tinder for that reason. Don't swipe on me just to text me for a month and not at least try to go on a date. I was on Tinder to MEET people in my area, not date them via my phone. Those long texts are a warning sign of non-commitment, wish I could warn future ladies about those guys so they wouldn't swipe on them and waste their time.

If not religion, I wonder if it has anything to do with her immigration status. She mentioned she has only been in America for 2 and a half years. If she is here on a visa and not a permanent resident/citizen he/his family may be judging her thinking that she is just looking for citizenship. Even though he didnt want a serious relationship with her, it seemed pretty obvious that he was willing to "hook up" with her based off of the comments he made. Then he spent time with his family and called off the second date. I wonder if they think she might try to get pregnant and trap him for money or citizenship so he decided against even hooking up with her. It wouldn't surprise me. Loved this interview Glamour! Really appreciated it. I also loved both of them! I related a lot to Daniel, and I'm surprised that there are actually guys who think long term in a relationship, and actually include their family in their decisions in looking for a partner! Was refreshing to see! It probably has a lot to do with being Persian and the family values they have. All around great interview! And Sarah seemed like she had a beautiful heart as well.

My boy Daniel is not as bad as you guys are making him out to be. Because there's a difference between liking somebody in a short-term fling and imagining growing old with somebody, relying on them in the tough times, and relating with them over similar ideologies. TL DR, she has no obviously bad qualities but she doesn't have any great qualities to make him believe that a relationship with her would be possible. Might also be a little bit of a religious thing as well
