The new town clock at the heart of Siaya Town was unveiled earlier in October this year and marks the site of the first roundabout in the town, sparking debate on social media platforms. #Siaya #fast #town
In 2021, the World Bank gave the Siaya municipality 25 million shillings grant meant to give the town a facelift.
The areas that were meant to be refurbished were the Ahindi Gardens and Governor's Park. The drainage system in some parts of the town that are prone to floods when it rains was also supposed to be fixed. There is amazing development coming up in Siaya town.

Siaya is growing but not fast as compared to kakamega,machakos even thika town is far more advanced than siaya yet they were both granted provincial titles at the same time years back.

Non of those towns you have mentioned above served as a provincial headquarter except Kakamega (Western Province). Siaya and Machakos served as former district headquarters, which later became county headquarters after the implementation of the 2010 constitution. One of the main reasons why Machakos and Thika towns are doing better than Siaya town is due to their proximity to the Nairobi (Kenya's capital city), which comes with many advantages.
