I have a pair of Bose ear buds (can’t remember the model #) and I’ve had them for years with no issues whatsoever. Recently I’ve had a problem with them holding a charge (only 10-15 minutes). I reached out to Bose and realized they are way past warranty but the lady I talked to told me to send them in and they would send me a brand new noise canceling earbuds for $164 . They are regularly $299 everywhere I looked. I sent them in and awaiting my new ear pods. Bose is a fantastic company. Note , I also had a problem with my old ones years ago that weren’t working and they sent me a new pair no questions asked. I will be dealing with Bose for the rest of my life. They are great and customer service is awesome! You get what you pay for

I had a similar experience with Bose when I accidentally ran my original Bose wireless earbuds through the wash. I sent them in knowing they were out of warranty and expected to pay for a fix. Instead they sent me a pair no questions asked of the first Quiet Comfort Earbuds for $119.00. I will always be a customer of Bose.

Great review. I have first gen IPods pro, and first gen QC earbuds. I really like Bose and I have had the Bose QC 2 over a week now. They blow the other 2 out of the water for me. The fit is the best yet and the noise cancelling is honestly amazing. Sound quality is so superior to the 1st gen Bose QC also. I’m giving the 1st gen to my son. I highly recommend Bose QC 2

I`ve had these for about a month. I consider them the standard against which all other earbuds should be measured. I use them a lot, especially on noisy building sites. If the techs at Bose read this, as a hobby musician, I would love to have the ability to select the level of Active Sense Noise Cancelling when I am playing so that I can cancel out some of the volume which protects my hearing without blocking out too much of the live sound I am hearing. That would be incredible. For now, I will just disable the Active Sense on the gig as I still have the natural dampening available by the buds themselves. I use the buds to cue my intro music cheat clips before a song starts. Very handy. These buds are worth every penny and I`ve spent stupid amounts of money on inferior brands. Save yourself a ton of money buying junk and just buy these.

Oh, & price. Forgot to mention that as well. Bose wins in that department too. Love M5 but I own both. I tend to use the Bose more. How they implemented that subwoofer. It's like dam! I’m very happy with them, I had a pair of Jabra 75 Active Elite and they were useless, one bud would work and then not work, they wouldn’t pair so I got frustrated and splurged on these.

Bose has been in the audio game for a long time and know their stuff. I primarily brought it for the ANC thinking it would completely eliminate noise and hearing people, but it doesn’t, but no earbuds / earphones do. But you were right when you say it muffles sound about 50 - 60%, I agree with you there. It turns down the world around you by about 50%, even standing next to heavy traffic sound is greatly reduced. Listening to music is awesome, sound is clear and crisp and you can't hear anything else when listening to music, they fit comfortably and can move your head all different directions and the sound isn’t compromised, awesome buds, very happy with them.
It would be nice in the future if they could develop the noise cancelling even further to 90% but they’re great, a bit pricey but Bose always is, recommended.

Just did a 40 mile ride on my ebike after purchasing these yesterday. Very happy with the fit. One thing I need to work on is adjusting these in my ear without changing a song or stopping the track. Otherwise, I was riding next to a train about 50 ft. Away and could not hear the train on immersive setting with music at a lower volume. Amazing! I enjoy being able to adjust the volume by swiping up or down. One swipe does not lower or raise the volume too much at once. So to go from low to high would take 4-5 maybe 6 full swipes. A nice feature so you dont get to loud too fast. The sound is great. 4 hours ish of music at varying volume levels due to songs I want to hear loud. 40% battery after that timefame from 100%. Bose is my choice of home speaker headphones, and now earbuds. The price is a tough pill to swallow but you only live once. Might as well have quality gear.

Top quality noise cancellation and the sound. Using for 4 months . The only big issue is the charger case. I just dropped once and the top door is broken. There are lot of users reported same. It is a low quality plastic and cannot be glued. If you are not using silicon case , be aware that it will break for sure. Warranty replacement is not covered for that and new charger case is 99$. That is my only complaint.

I returned them, because there was a buzzing with voiceover while using them voice over with speak back to me on my phone it would buzz in the air, but having said that they fit my ears very well. They sounded really good and the noise cancellation was second to none. I have never owned these second generation, but what I do not understand is how can you bring out a new product and take away wireless charging what you want sad and how do you not give multi point connectivity when it has the chip in it to do it from the get-go now these may be some amazing earbuds for what people want to use them for and I'm sure they are and I'm sure if I had a pair I would love the sound quality because that's what's most important to me but I just don't understand how you can come out with a new generation, and take features away And not give features that the earbuds already have the ability to have from the get-go and not give it to you from the start

Let's TALK beef... I paired them with iPHONE SE. The sound is great. BUT.... I cannot manage my songs.
1- Other earbuds allow me to visually identify which song is playing on my music list (either with a distinctive color or an equalizer image). Not these.
2- I am unable to change songs using the list on my iPhone. The earbuds keep on playing their song.
I followed the instructions to pair them, but I could not find a solution to my problem.
Should I return them? It's only about a week since I have them.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

While I was looking at the settings the right ear bud made a weird ' pop' then audio started streaming. Nothing from youtube , went out, went into the app again and youtube started streaming audio. No idea what happned.Sound is great and NC is,great too. More complex than my sony wmx4000 ear buds which I lost on a holiday. The sonys just worked.

That I don't know for sure. But Bose has 90-day trial and return policy. And I just noticed on the the earbuds' product page that Bose is selling an "Alternative Sizing Kit" that includes XS and XL tips along with two other sizes of stability bands (it's all the way at the bottom of the page). Would have been nice if Bose mentioned that to me (would have included that little factoid in the video). We have a link for the QC Earbuds 2 product page in the description above.

how can you hear the most terrible headphones I can think of for $300 is the Bose QC Earbuse II since there is no way to connect to the MacBook Pro, a lot of attempts have been made how can you hear the speakers of the MacBook Pro playing but the headphones cannot connect to, also a big problem with the fact that the headphones are discharged when they are in the case when you want to listen to music or you are suddenly going to go for a run to get your headphones on the way you will be notified that the headphones are discharged and their charge is less than 10% although the headphones were in the case and they should have been charging!! !

FYI on my 1st gen wireless buds i had the battery drain issue too. Turns out it was due to the case's design. Evidently if not seated well, another words too loose, then that's why. I agree it's extremely annoying but at least now i understand why this was happening and it's not been an issue since. You'd think in product testing they would discover the sloppy, loose fit but speaking as a long time bose customer, product quality is "hit or miss."
That said since the qc2's prices were recently slashed i thought now would be the time to try them out. Especially since to date bose is the best with anc. I've not had any problems or issues with those whatsoever. Even that battery drain issue on the previous model has been fixed with the new case & earbud designs. Doesn't hurt either with pricing now under $200. Only time will tell but fingers crossed, seems someone higher up got the memo in regards to increasingly poor quality.

The BOSE original Quiet Comfort earbuds have much better fit and much better sound quality IMO. The original Quiet Comforts were a bit bigger but they are IMO so so much better than the QC 2's. Just my opinion but after trying both I would take the original QC's any day! They sound so much better.
The BOSE QC 2's seem to be more worried about the case and size. Not fitment and sound.

Thank you for an excellent video! Really appreciate the honesty and thoroughness of your review.
My take - as a fan of Bose, these look like a really great update from the previous QuietComfort earbuds. Better noise cancellation, the microphone quality definitely sounds improved (albeit could still be better), and the smaller form size of both the earbuds and the charging case.
However, I'm off-put with the lack of wireless charging and bluetooth multipoint. I agree that the latter will most likely be unveiled in a future update, but the lack of wireless charging seems odd.
I'll most likely stick with the first-gen for now. But future upgrades building from this look promising! Excited to watch your review then!

I purchased QC1 They didn’t even last a year, so I called Bose and they sent me another pair of QC1. These ones were an obvious refurbished pair of earbuds because they were worse than the ones I returned. So I called Bose again two months later, I demanded to be upgraded to Bose QC2, sure they were different I was excited BUT one simple feature is missing from QC2 earbuds, that is when it is on aware mode any loud noises or someone talking close to you, their voice keeps getting saturated, whereas with QC1 there was a feature on the Bose App where you could deactivate that and no matter how much noise around you the earbuds didn’t automatically lower the external noise making conversations saturated. But QC2 doesn’t have that feature on the Bose App to deactivate. Anyways, THESE NEW QC2 Earbuds started playing up, keep dropping out, at times I’d be in a conversation and the person on the other side would be asking me to speak louder because of too much background noise and at the same times I had trouble hearing them, this got worse and worse. SOOOO, another two to three months later I demanded another pair, I got these new pair of Bose QC2 Limited Edition earbuds AND GUESS WHAT, same thing, now it keeps dropping out of my phone, TV and THIS BLOODY ONES DOES’NT EVEN PAIR UP WITH MY PROJECTOR AT THE media room like the others did at least. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH and what’s worse is that they don’t refund. They only exchange with another crappier version BECAUSE I would rather use Sennheiser. I’ve had enough of Bose all together. I will never buy OR ever recommend another Bose product ever again.
