0:04 Doug Paul on the Channel 9 promos. He was also the promo voice on Channel 11 in New York City, as well as many other TV stations across the country. He had a very cool, distinctive voice and delivery.

Derek worked mostly in Canada, but did some work in the States, including an appearance on "Cheers", and the very obscure Krofft variety pilot "The Cracker Brothers Special".
