My mom and I would watch the NGDB DVD 50 year celebration Live at the Ryman Auditorium every night up until she died this past January (age 92). You gave us both great joy singing along with you for many years. She would have loved this.
My brother could Travis Pick every song Dylan and NGDB ever released, and we'd all croak along the best we could. We lost him this past May. I will miss the journey we would have taken listening to these tracks. He was also the brother who turned me onto NGDB back in the early 70s. One of his favorite tunes by NGDB was "Lonesome Fiddle Blues."
My Brother travelled the World as a Merchant Seaman and was tough as Teak.He met Swedish Lass early Twenty's in Home Town and was smitten things didn't work out and Liz left 50 years later i now know how much he cherished her. This song was on his list at Funeral,I miss him.
I just got back from seeing the Eagles farewell tour and now i am geaded to KY in March to see the Dirt Band on thiers. So sad to see the end of these great bands from my youth...ah, the memories!
We saw the Eagles FT at Rupp last fall and will be in Renfro Valley for the Dirt Band as well. It's amazing how great groups bring people together. See ya there! Safe travels.
This is one of the best albums. My brothers band has come out with. They are sounding so good.❤ it’s nice to have it on the road playing it on the trip.! Much love to all the fans and all of the years. This music is help me and my wife who are both going through cancer right now it gives us strength and reminds us of the days when the world was together and we weren’t fighting between parties. Government was the government and people where playing ATrak, stereotypes, were people, we used to have the best outdoor concerts back in the days Joan Baez, the doors, the time of peace and love God bless you all may we be able to get along with each other! I have hope for the Z generation to unplug their phones, and go lay down in the grass and play the guitars and tell poems! And remember Joni, Mitchell and Donovan! And number one who let this song in to this if you’re a cool music Bob Dylan
Your brother dropped my Italian-immigrant son's jaw on the floor on 7/13 at an NGDB show in Newkirk, OK. . "How is it possible? How can he stay on the time center with the drumming, with the accuracy of a metronome, AND syncopate on the harmonica at the same time? How can a human being do that?" My son is a keyboard player with a gift for arranging and composition and he uses my home studio more than I do because he has a keen interest in the recording process. I told him that one of the best recorded drum sound in popular music was your brother's kit on the "Speed of Life" album. He agreed with that assessment. "How do they make that drum kit sound that good live?" Anyhow, enough of that........ The notion of a husband and wife both fighting cancer at the same time together is a heartbreaking one to contemplate. It's rough enough when only ONE spouse is afflicted. My hope for you both is complete healing and a brighter tomorrow.
The way that NGDB has transitioned over the years while maintaining their musical integrity is amazing. I love the old stuff, but I also love their newer work. Thanks, guys!
They are amazing. Most of these guys the same as Hanna, Fadden and Carpenter embarrass themselves. These genetic freaks are as good and vibrant as ever. If Ibby got the genes he'd still be around. Alas he's mortal like the 99.9% of us that age out
My family loves the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, their music has been a big part of the soundtrack of my life, been listening to them since I was 11-12. I love and own all 3 Will The Circle Be Unbroken CD’s. Our 3 sons listened to all our Nitty Gritty albums. On October 24th, 2012, my husband and I took our oldest son to see NGDB at this year’s beautiful old Art Deco theater, in Bellingham, the concert was excellent!!! I miss Jimmy too and John…
I’m crying, I have loved this song since Dylan and Johnny Cash released Nashville Skyline, the first of Dylan’s Nashville Trilogy, I love this song so much, I have since I was a young teenager and my whole family loves and reveres NGDB!!!❤
There's a version with Johnny Cash and Joni Mitchell from his TV show on TH-cam. Never saw it until yesterday. Stunning. The NGDB changed my life. In 1972 I see an ad in a music mag - the Sgt Peppers of country music. Really? My college roommate and I pool our money for a three record set. Gotta take a chance. That summer we go to a six day festival. I'm standing in a real circle next to Earl Scruggs. They opened up a whole new world for me. And Nashville Skyline helped set it up.
Just saw the NGDB in Charleston SC Saturday night. In this small venue the band excelled. Jeff is such an iconic front man who led the band through a fabulous set list. Every musician contributes wonderfully to each song. Jamie’s voice and guitar playing is strong!
I do too. Jamie's voice might be the ONLY voice that would fit here besides him. And at 3:09, perhaps he's imagining the man who might be his namesake in his place. Fitting, because Jimmy Ibbotson wanted to do more of the non-NGDB canon.
Jaime are a great singer with a great voice and a good, new member of the group! Also Ross Holmes are a great fiddler and banjo player after John McEuen!❤
Got to see these guys perform the BD tune live last October in Vancouver and it's been on repeat ever since. My favorite version of this tune that's been recorded by many. Great job!
It was nice seeing you guys in Lexington, KY a couple months ago. You guys still put 110 no 150% into your shows. We'll surely miss you here in Kentucky.
Fantastic voice on this guy.
Nitty Gritty Band is still great!
Maybe the best version ever performed 😊
This is the BEST production of this song from a long time Dillon fan.
Always been my favorite band....you guys know how to quiet my heart..
Decades have past and my love for you has not faded or dimmed
Thank you for the song you wrote of us. I play it often . I know I at least was once truely loved by a good soul kind man love you forever Judy

This is so beautiful. There's so much sweetness and longing in this song, and this version is just lovely.
My favorite from the new album. Jaime's voice! Hearing him sing it live last week gave me goosebumps. What gorgeous visual accompaniment too.
Can't get tired listening to any Nitty Gritty sound....Live Long NGDB! Pain Dirt Fashion!

I am sad to discover this band so late yet happy to discover whole new music branch that will slowly grow up on me.
Beautiful version of a classic song x
Lovely cover.
One of my favorite bands the last 40 years🥰
Best version of this song I have ever heard......

This is soooo good! ❤️
Isn't it just! And I grew up with Dylan's original.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!!! I have loved NGDB since “Fishing In The Dark”!!!
I'll never forget the first time I heard 'Mr.bojangels' in a bar on their house system ..72 ?
Generations of music ✌️♥️🎶
Hello 👋 how are you
Hard to believe this channel, only has 37k subscribers. Considering how long NGDB has been around. Damn shame.
I know ,,they just feel like friends, partners or brothers. 😎
Just saw the NGDB in Charleston SC Saturday night. In this small venue the band excelled. Jeff is such an iconic front man who led the band through a fabulous set list. Every musician contributes wonderfully to each song. Jamie’s voice and guitar playing is strong!
Go see them if you get can!! They are wonderful!
I was so lucky to see them in my hometown in eastern Canada twice; once opening for Willie Nelson, the other solo.
Can I just say, I really miss Jimmy Ibbotson 🥺
I do too. Jamie's voice might be the ONLY voice that would fit here besides him. And at 3:09, perhaps he's imagining the man who might be his namesake in his place. Fitting, because Jimmy Ibbotson wanted to do more of the non-NGDB canon.
Me too
I do too. 😔
I really really miss him too.. I know things change over the years but I love the old set up and the old tracks
Ditto
Ibby and Jeff as a team cannot be replaced 😢
Love this ❤
Jaime are a great singer with a great voice and a good, new member of the group! Also Ross Holmes are a great fiddler and banjo player after John McEuen!❤
What a great cover of a Bob Dylan song. Cheers! ✌️
Wow, never heard this before. Easily the best cover of this song I've heard.
Bellissima versione
The Black Crowes crush this one.
ABSOLUTELY.

Excellent!
Great cover by a great band of a great classic of a great song writer! Wow, mind blowing!
For me the best cover
The most beautiful version sung with passion!
Bless you for your music.
A touch of beauty.
Awesome cover. NGDB is so good. 💖
Been there.
My family is near Hibbing MN this one always reminds me of them!
Best version of this song I've heard, and a stellar track off of a great album of Dylan covers. Please come to California.
What a heartbreaking song
Amazing, very respectful, I love it!
This is the version I was looking for, wow great music
Hermosamente tranportadora a un epoca en que se era mas sensible a lo colectivo.
Gracias por ésto. Lo necesitamos para estas nuevas generaciones. Un orgullo haberlos conocido y seguirlos ecuchando.
I got to see this a couple weeks ago at Brown County Music Center in Nashville IN. It was absolutely faultless. So beautiful.
Beautiful
Beautiful greetings from ireland,
Nice version of Girl from North Country. Love the instrumentation.
Absolutely stellar!!!!!
So glad to see Jaime doing well. He was always a favorite on Gary Allan's stage. Nice guy, too!
Sounds great. Much better with age, mine and theirs.
The America that I love.
These guys where always badass!!!
Nice. Very, very nice.
Pure beauty and joy. Thank you❤
Well done. From a big fan who has followed you in over 50 years.
Beautifully done. I think I need to get that album so I can listen how you interpret Dylan.
Masterfully done! Splendid musical arrangement with soulful vocal harmonies. One for the ages! Mr. Dylan will be pleased!
Great song, great interpretation
Alex from Switzerland
Awesome !
Lovely. I loved the Country Gentleman’s version, too.
I’ve loved this band for decades.
Just saw NGDB a week ago. Flawless performance. The Dirt does Dylan album is wonderfully done, they did some of the tracks at the show.😊
The BEST!
Wonderful, really wonderful version!!!
Maravilhosa interpretación. Gracias

Grew up hearing this, & many others...always a mini story, which stirred a young girl to feel free...😑

Beautiful version, well played by seasoned professionals.
Awesome cover 😍
I love NGDB.
Excellent, great talent in this video.
Just lovely ..thank you.
Is this the same NGDB that gave us the song American Dream ?
Beautiful! Can't wait to hear the album.
What a disappointment! This was the only track from the album that I liked. But that's only my opinion.
love this album
Sweet! It's a great old song. What took them so long to record this? They nailed it. The guitar work is reminiscent of Mark Knopfler.
Very very cool and touching...
First time I saw you, you were all leaning against the front wall of the Ashgrove. 💕
This was just awesome !
Fantastic band !!!

Fantastic..love it all the way..and loved the amazing video..cheers..liked and subbed !
