It was actually in the original cut of the video, but we had to edit out to save time. Basically the label went to Beach House to get the clearance on it and it turns out they are actually fans of Kendrick! They were honored and excited about it so it all worked out super smoothies
Production wise he reminds me of Kanye West. He makes hip hop beats but he's obsessed with alternative music and often samples those kind of songs. His approach is almost the same too.
@@ck675 you not gonna bump that unless you’re sitting at home depressed tho are you? Part of what makes money trees a classic is that you can play it anywhere anytime
Discovered Kendrick Lamar when element and then damn. came out, then I discovered swimming pools was one of his songs, had heard it on gta 5 so often, then I discovered the whole good kid mad city album in 2018, and at the same time I ran into "downtown - lil peep", later I discovered the instrumental was from a Kendrick Lamar song called money trees, from that good kid mad city album, I sat and listened and I felt like I was living the story while listening to the song, and ever since it has been one of my all time fav, and now I'm here discovering it was a pop song sample Music can be used and reused so much overtime without never losing its power, just people adding their creativity and their vibes on it..
Is it crazy that this video had me smiling the entire time? XD this is insane how he found the ENTIRE song by reversing the sample like that. That made the whole song crazy! Dj Dahi is amazing !
Native Instruments - Battery (snares/808 kicks) Native Instruments - Kontakt (african bells/bass/hi hats) Kontakt has multiple instruments/sounds to choose from. Battery is mostly drums. Hope that helps!
Great work champ. THIS is what Creativity is about. I'm so blessed to hear you agree with my philosophy of "Creativity comes from the reaction 2 different Creators make.!""Too come up with something new, you have to do the opposite."
Only 185k views is insane. I would say my boys and I watched this at least 200 times over the course of our 4 year college. This was the goto TH-cam vid at 3 am after the bar closed
Bon Iver good sir! Thanks for watching. New Behind The Beat episode feat. DK The Punisher coming soon! DK has produced for Dom Kennedy, Mac Miller, TiRon & Ayomari, Snow tha Producer, OCD, and more! Be sure to check back on our channel later for more beat making goodness
cowbells hard af
That Beach House has been sampled as much as they have by hip hop and R&B artists is a testament to the diversity of their sound and mass appeal.
TheWatsonGreen what are some other songs that's been sampled?
|Jake|C| The Party and The Afterparty samples Master of None
@@tarheels185 Also Loft Music samples Gila
@@tarheels185 Master of None still one of if not the best Beach House song...or at least my favourite.
i guess it's quite randomly asking but does anyone know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online?

Vinay Arun what do you mean?
ShakeNBake677 as in the drums are very hard, got mad bounce

One of the greatest songs ever made. Let alone rap/hip hop. A well executed masterpiece.
Yup, thanks for watching!
Kendrick will never make a song better than Money Trees and I'm perfectly ok with that. It's a masterpiece
@@andrewtruex bruh what? Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst is the greatest hip hop song of our generation

I love beach house, I thought it was really rad when they used their song
He is currently working with J Cole now. Can't wait, this guy is a genius with that Money Trees beat!
Turned out to be more classics
This might still be the best video on TH-cam.
Thanks for watching!
Beach House is next level. I think that Silver Soul song would've caught any producers attention
this is legit one of the most iconic beats in the 2010's. amazing deconstruction video
Thank you for watching!
NIGGA THAT BEAT IS SO FUCKN HOT!!! Keep bangn out
I NEED THOSE COWBELLS THOUGH
Rory Fisher Damn....listening to this track with vox, I never even noticed the cowbells!
yeah they're subtle as fuck but add so much to the feel
Those underlying synths that play throughout the bridge are nuts. Never noticed that in the record.
Still lose my mind every time the drums hit in that song
dat drum is a hit itself
Those added synths alone could've made a whole new beat. Thats crazy!!
One of if not the most legendary hip hop beats ever made
the bells really complete the beat imo
DJ Dahi is the best producer in the game right now
LoudMouth Media Group Agree, he sounds different. Love his flava!
Pitus Beatz forsure! tired of hearing the same sounds. he's got def got some flava
6 years later still true
This song gets you stuck in time.
Love the production. The beach house sample really makes the track stand out.
This is one of those timeless instrumentals #salute
Dahi produced two tracks for the upcoming Kendrick Album! can´t wait for that shit to drop! Dahi is a Genius!

7:11 really sounds like it belongs in a hotline Miami soundtrack at first
this beat is crazy💯 and kendrick went hard
But how did he isolate the vocals so well. How did he remove the rain and bird noises in the background?
That last synth. I dont recall hearing that on the song.

great work on this video. hope to see behind the beats vids.
Dahi stays giving rappers their best songs
5:55 How is that even possible? He had a kick, bassline and 808?
I'm pretty sure you can do it pretty easily if you EQ everything correctly so they don't clash
Dude. making beats is just sleight of a cakewalk.
Saskiequelle if you listen closely they do clash but he got it for the most part
dope vid and hes so right about knowing about alternative, soul, country, etc
Good video, my favorite song and beat on the album for sure
