Like if Underwood wanted to get rid of the director of the FBI he would make everyone want him gone and then he'd fire him but it would appear reluctant. As someone that lives in the south, I find people who still wave that fucking flag despicable. It is a symbol of treason in my opinion. He has by now spent more taxpayer money on vacations than Obama did in the first 3 years of his presidency.

Different times I guess.. we feel like we're free with our technology, but back in the day, freedom without much distraction was all they had. The FBI Director has only two bosses. The Attorney General and the President (who also has firing authority over the Attorney General). What we have is a second level supervisor, Trump, asking one of his subodinates (who he has the authority to fire) questions. A previous second level supervisor (Obama) had never asked questions and in fact only spoke to Comey twice. Comey, unused to the concept of actually being supervised, complains to his first level supervisor, Sessions, and says, being around your boss makes me uncomfortable. Sessions relays the message and Trump, knowing a lot about supervision does what any smart boss does when he learns he has an employee who is uncomfortable if the boss is around. Trump ensures Comey will never be uncomfortable again by firing the uncomfortable employee. Forgive me if I fail to see a story in this.
