I once remember playing a rom hack with that same plot, it's called fire red: rocket edition and I really recommend it. It's amazing. It's got some gore though
Despite the comedic tone this dub has ( incluing the funny music in the background) when i first read the comic i actually felt some pretty nasty dread. It also helps that she is capable of pausing time and learning from weavers that read the fabric of reality (source code) in order to fully understand the world. She also is the only thing with object permanence manipulating time and matter around her so that even after weeks of camping in the wild area she still gets to motostoke in time for the ceremony hat starts the day after you leave the train.
There's time I feel bad for Hop, I actually try to lose. But after my last Pokémon fainted, the game just throw you back to the nearest Pokemon Center and when I go back to fight Hop again, he act like nothing ever happen. I think the game just wanted you to destroy his dream.

@@BlastingRyan609 Okay.... so. 'IVs' are Inherit Values, basically the genetic values of your pokemon. This is used to determine the stats of your pokemon, and it varies between 0 and 31 for each stat, the higher the number, the better the stat will be. For instance, a Level 100 Charizard with 0 IVs would have like (not real numbers btw, you can check the stats, I'm only doing three for simplicity) 120 Health, 78 Attack, and 90 Defense. A Charizard with, say, Perfect IV's would have 175 Health, 100 Attack, and 127 Defense. In other words, that Charizard is way stronger now. 'EVs' are Effort Values, which, aren't decided when the pokemon is created. Every time you defeat a pokemon, you gain EV's by fighting pokemon (different pokemon give different EV's, an example would be a bidoof giving 1 HP EV) Every Four EV's equals one stat point (rounded down if it is an decimal, like 150.75, you'd still have 150). However, you can only have 510 EV's in total. 510 divided by four is 127.5 (127, rounded down.) So you have 127 stat pointd you'd be able to invest. Only 255 EV's can be invested into one stat (so you can't put 510 evs into Special Attack) Ev's are generally much easier, since you don't have to breed and pray for RNG for good IVs. Also, good natures. a 'Nature' is yet another thing that varies stats. For instance, it could have a nature which boosts attack, but lowers health. Maybe it does the opposite? Another could do NOTHING. A nature is decided when the game creates a pokemon. Having a nature boosts one stat by 10%, but lowers another by 10% (at level 100). Having a nature that both increases and decreases the same stat will have no effect.

'IVs' are Inherit Values, basically the genetic values of your pokemon.
This is used to determine the stats of your pokemon, and it varies between 0 and 31 for each stat, the higher the number, the better the stat will be.
For instance, a Level 100 Charizard with 0 IVs would have like (not real numbers btw, you can check the stats, I'm only doing three for simplicity)
120 Health, 78 Attack, and 90 Defense.
A Charizard with, say, Perfect IV's would have 175 Health, 100 Attack, and 127 Defense.
In other words, that Charizard is way stronger now.
'EVs' are Effort Values, which, aren't decided when the pokemon is created. Every time you defeat a pokemon, you gain EV's by fighting pokemon (different pokemon give different EV's, an example would be a bidoof giving 1 HP EV)
Every Four EV's equals one stat point (rounded down if it is an decimal, like 150.75, you'd still have 150). However, you can only have 510 EV's in total.
510 divided by four is 127.5 (127, rounded down.)
So you have 127 stat pointd you'd be able to invest. Only 255 EV's can be invested into one stat (so you can't put 510 evs into Special Attack)
Ev's are generally much easier, since you don't have to breed and pray for RNG for good IVs.
Also, good natures.
a 'Nature' is yet another thing that varies stats. For instance, it could have a nature which boosts attack, but lowers health. Maybe it does the opposite? Another could do NOTHING.
A nature is decided when the game creates a pokemon. Having a nature boosts one stat by 10%, but lowers another by 10% (at level 100). Having a nature that both increases and decreases the same stat will have no effect.

Yea. Tbh funi dog man intentionally made the game feel like how you're describing it, and frankly, that might be why it was well received when it came out and the fanbase wasn't too toxic. To think people have these thoughts of making the game self aware about every little thing you do.
I'd just tell him. Tell him all about hidden levels and natures and EVs and IVs that he can't see. I'd want him to be able to have the same chance as me. And Marnie and Bede. I just think they deserve to have a chance. I don't even think they know about shinies! It is just nice to tell them, to make sure they have a chance instead of just being thrashed because we can level up teams.

When he deliberately picked the starter weak to me, I kept expecting the twist to be that his Pokémon would have a weakness policy during our final battle so I tried to keep my level around the same as his.
And then it turns out Joker's just the Persona 5 save file of one of the Animal Crossing villagers.
And that’s just the Doomslayer’s save file, and it just goes deeper and deeper
Everything is just one game after another. It's save files all the way down, up, sideways and then some.
It's all fun and games until you find out that technically, the Demi-Fiend could show up and kill everyone in sight since Joker is there.
