Super-charge your A24 Rodent Trap

How to supercharge your A24 mouse and rat trap
To maximise the number of kills from your A24, top up your lure disperser with peanut butter and place a few dobs of it below the trap.
The lures supplied by Goodnature are good, stable and perform well under normal circumstances.
Our testing has found in South Australia that the nut butter works better than the chocolate lure, but actual peanut butter, bought from the supermarket, is the most attractive to mice and rats.
We have found that you can remove the lure dispenser from the trap, gently add some peanut butter to the tip of the dispenser, then replace the dispenser in the trap for super results. The smell is irresistible to the rats and mice resulting in significant numbers being caught.
Sometimes rodents, particularly rats, are hesitant to go near new devices, so the attractiveness of peanut paste, as a short-term supercharger, will cause the traps to become acceptable food sources to the local rodent population, despite the fact that some of their group happen to be dead near the trap.
Rats and mice have a dark habit of cannibalising their dead when food is scarce, so the traps themselves become a food source, making them even more acceptable and more successful at reducing the pest numbers.
Decoy feeding. The other supercharge trick is to place a few dobs of peanut paste at the base of the trap for a few days, to initiate feeding. This results in the rats and mice being more willing to feed from the inside of the trap where the action happens.
