    This is so laughable. Mike, the Rams traded Goff, TWO first round picks and a 3rd round pick to Detroit for Stafford, not just one first round pick. Goff's new contract also has a no-trade clause in it. He made it clear that he didn't want to experience in Detroit what he did with the Rams. Goff loves Detroit and the fans and the team love him. If he wins a Suoer Bowl here, he will be Detroit sports royalty for the rest of his life. Goff wants to set down roots. He is getting married this summer, too. I don't think he would ever want to go back to the Rams. Also, I can't see McVay eating humble pie to try to get him back. I think the price required from the Lions would at least be what the Rams sent over in the Stafford trade, but you'd need to get Goff's approval. Bottom line, it ain't gonna happen. The Rams will get a few more years out of Stafford, barring injury, but then they'll be shopping for their next quarterback. They should ask the Lions about Hendon Hooker.

      LMAO, Rams don’t want Goff, you’re delusional, we have Stafford who’s better, that’s why Mc Vay traded for him, theses sports reports are just trying to stir pot because they are bored , also we don’t want Hooker who’s a bum 😆🤣

      McVay doesn't need to eat any humble pie. He didn't want Goff and still doesn't want him end of story. McVay is too dynamic for Goff. Good Bye Goff. The Lions can have him forever.

    • @charlespapineau5428
      @charlespapineau5428 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @cy4330 My comments were based on what Forio proposed. I don't think McVay would want to go after Goff after Stafford is done. If you're saying that McVay is too dynamic for Goff (who isn't dynamic by your definition), then does that mean that Ben Johnson runs an ordinary offense because he has had success with Goff running it? If McVay couldn't have success with Goff and Johnson does have success with him, who runs the better offensive scheme? If Goff is merely average, then one could say that McVay didn't know how to use him properly. You also have to look at his weapons and his offensive line, not just scheme. I don't know the roster of the Rams in 2021 at all, but I think that Goff has proved that with a good supporting cast, he can be a very good NFL quarterback.

    This is my opinion. Goff is Goff. He's not changed. He's not improved. If he has a good offensive line and running game, he's good. If not, he's not. This was true in Los Angeles and Detroit.

      So Peyton manning didn’t improve from his first 6 seasons to hitting his prime ?? Goff looks better than ever , and his oline was only ranked 12th in pass blocking efficiency, all he needs is a decent oline?? Not a bottom 2 oline back when he was with the rams in 2019? Dont believe me ? Check the rankings ?

    Florio finally got to where I already know as truth. Holmes is all about "getting his guys". Goff was the type of person and player that he wants to build in Detroit. He probably would've taken a lot less to get Goff, but if you can fleece your old team, all the better!

    Rams handled Goff badly and rudely. One issue not talked about is Goff had the yips on short throws, like the second baseman Steve Sax had. Jim Plunkett had them too (I think) and was better with longer throws, like Goff was. Goff seems to be better now on that score, and giving him time and support I'm sure helped that.

      🎯 He can shred defenses like a young Joe Montana when the line and/or running game are stout/formidable! But, he can't make plays when the shit hits the fan, can't improvise or hit 3rd down & 10-plus (to go) when you really need it! When everyone in the stadium knows it's an obvious/critical/clutch passing down, he's gonna come up empty 9 outta 10 times in those must have moments! Other than some key throws during the 54-51 shootout victory vs. Mahomes in 2018 or that impressive comeback win during that ear-melting decibel level Superdome crowd noise vs the saints in the NFC championship game--Goff was pretty much ⛔🚮👻🥶 when the RAMS needed him to make clutch plays to win several winnable games that Stafford most likely would've won if #9 was at the helm instead...Super Bowl 53 loss vs Pats being a prime example of this noticeable contrast between Goff & Stafford's clutchness/gotta make tasty chicken salad outta chicken (or instead of) shit capabilities!✅💯

    Florio really off his rocker lately. Rams had a team that was ready to win now with a short window and needed a plug and play starter who gave them a legit shot to win. He did win it for them. You are forgetting the lions had benched Goff too, he’s only improved after the Rams won, Donalds clock was ticking. They got a Super Bowl. Win win, Goff for the lions timeline perfectly. I’m a Giants fans and couldn’t give a fuck but florio lives in fantasy revisionist history world. He loves to play fan fiction with the NFL.

    Goff has kept it close to the vest but I’m guessing he detests McVey. I would. McVey threw Goff under the bus. Now if McVey retired then Goff might considering returning there. But I would guess the odds are one out of ten and it’s probably less likely than that. You could roll one die until you get two ones and that would be more likely. The most likely scenario due to contract, age and opportunity: Goff retires as a Lion. And in the slim chance Jared gets into the Hall of Fame - it could happen if he wins a Super Bowl - he’d go in as a Lion, partially as a diss to LA and McVey.
