I wish I had watched this a year ago. I went to seek advice from one of the leaders who I thought was my friend about what I was struggling with because the church hurt was caused by one of the lead pastors in the church. I went to her because I thought she might have dealt with it and knew what to do but she went and told the whole leadership in the church what I told her. The situation is out of control so I might have to leave. I wish I knew how to deal with it properly in the beginning. I can’t seem to get over it. I forgive but I still remember. It has resulted in me not trusting people in the church.

Friend, I had a very similar situation and I too didn’t handle it very well. I recommend that you continue in forgiveness in your heart and don’t let it become a root of bitterness in your heart as I did (I’ve repented of that and God has miraculously healed me), for that will lead you to sin. If you’re able to, when the Lord leads you, discuss it with the leadership and seek reconciliation (Matthew 5:23-24). Leave the results to God, but do your bit. If they won’t reconcile, you continue to walk in forgiveness. Someday it will all be clear.

I’m submitting though I disagree on a few points at Church....I’m submitting because I need the Body of Christ more than my need to agree on every point I’m depending on the Cross on the Holy Spirit to in mercy sort us all out in kindness grace and revelation...Jesus help. amen 🙏

@@vladhungrygenPastor Vlad, my pastor is Calvinistic (people predestined for hell) the leaders and elders are many years younger than him and are still in need of deliverance. It’s been this way for many years. It’s a small church and the pastor is the owner also. He has no covering either. This is the only church in town that believes in the power of the Holy Spirit. I wanna leave but also want to serve!! Idk what to do 🙏🏼

Thanks for this message Pastor Vlad. It brings to closure something God has been teaching me over the last few weeks about a situation I faced with a church I used to attend. I didn’t handle it well, and I got very critical of the pastor for a long time over doctrine for which I could find no biblical basis. I preached to a different church earlier today on forgiveness from the heart according to Matthew 18, which I felt God put on my heart a while back, and I confessed my own transgressions to God and asked him to forgive me. I will be reaching out to this pastor to reconcile, and I believe we will, but I’ve found that keeping my focus on Jesus is way more important than being right doctrinally.
The only reason we get offended over anything is because of self centredness, and not because of what others do or say to us.

Thank you for this Pastor Vlad.
I'm going to use this to help those I know who are going through disagreements in the church. My husband has actually made it a point that if anyone comes into our home and speaks against the Pastor, church member or brethren from any other church, to not allow that conversation to continue and change the topic.
May God continue to bless and use you Pastor Vlad.

What are you supposed to do if the person is a toxic narcissist and has been abusing you? Talking to a person who's abusing you allows them to perpetuate that abuse. You're advised to go no contact with that abusive person.

Such a beautiful message, I am blessed. I pray for my small church and it's leaders. We are in need of supernatural courage to confront several issues and practice being gracious to one another. All the more that the appointed time is near. It's not easy to stick around with different kinds of imperfect people including me but I agree, we need to press on more to Jesus and let Him abide in us. I hope for resolution and reconciliation all in Jesus' name!

It is best to speak directly but what if the people you had conflicts with make fun of you when you forgive them and ask for their forgiveness in case you did something bad as well? Or a person might be not wanting ever to resolve the issue especially when that person can have different moods and for others sometimes it depends if they need something from you? You help many times and pressure yourself but then again at any small problem you get called terrible names? We let them go… if somebody likes me just for what I give, then it is obvious. Life goes on… we live and let live.

What if there isn't a personal disagreement or doctrinal disagreement? What if the other person in church just doesn't show you love or has cut friendship ties with you. Are we supposed to hold the former church friend accountable for not showing you love?

    • @freshlybrewedtruth5600
      @freshlybrewedtruth5600 ปีที่แล้ว

As much as we want to be able to have closure with people who cut ties, we just have to let them go. It’s possible to continue to go to the same church but if the person is slandering you I’d say it’s okay to leave and go somewhere where you’re being valued.

  • @peteratkinson4701

When a pastor preachers, any one of the congregation could get offended, but it could from inner insecurity of person, that gets triggered, when pastor says something.
That's the persons responsibility to go away and pray to God, before u open your mouth, then calmly speak to them privately after gods filtered your bad stuff

In our church it's women in office - i.e. being elders and pastors, we already have women deacons. We did drawing of lots for elders this past year and 5 women and 1 divorced man were drawn from the bag of names so not sure how to take that. Next up for debate in our denomination is the PRIDE agenda acceptance. When that happens I'm out!

There is a situation going on in my church. One of the church leaders got angry with the pastor for a trivial issue. Then that person was caught lying and gossiping about our pastor to other church people, sending multiple emails, text messages to them. Pastor knows about and tried to resolve the issue talking to that person. It was useless. the situation brought division to the church, confusion and sadness. The conflict is kind of resolved in a superficial way as more facts about that person spreading lies and rumors come up. I am afraid we deal with mentally sick and possibly possessed person. This revelation was shocking. The pastor is hesitant to remove the person from the leadership position for the fear that it might cause misunderstanding from people who are not aware of this situation. I believe every pastor is tested for the ability to lead and handle such situations, to have courage to make wise and Biblical decisions. Being a pastor is not for the faint of heart.

Where does the bible say to go to the board when there is a problem or conflict?? It doesnt!! The bible does say to go to the one you have a problem with.
