    You're one of the few long lens street photographers out there that don't do typical tiktok portrait nonsense. Authentic and focused on composition, keep it real!!

      @@BokehTherapy one channel spent whole video finding many issues using the Sirui Anamorphic, full frame, at the Z7 (instead of using the Z6 as written in his misleading title) but in the end loves the image quality! The results are just amazing, looks like cinema, in despite of the issues. So I guess the case would be a video on the results and how to work properly with these lenses on Zf, instead of spending the whole video criticizing it, to admit they're great in the last moment.

      TH-cam is tricky to balance. Maybe they were trying to build some suspense and didn’t quite pull it off in the planning? I don’t see much point in spending a whole video on gear you hate - it’s so much work!

    I find having too much gear massively harms creativity and creates boundaries where you’re in your head too much about what to use rather than in the moment, I shot with 50mm only for 5 years and found this helped me enormously.

      It’s good on two levels, just mastering a focal length but also there’s so little thought about what to take because you only have one setup.

      I've shot 35mm (50mm equiv more or less) for so long for actual paid work where it's not longer as enjoyable, moving into video work I chose to buy a cheeky film cam to slow down my photography experience and I am tempted to grab this lens (it'll be like 350mm after crop factor) and it'll work well for messing around with super long focal lengths alongside shooting some low ss moon pics

    Aps-c 56mm and 250mm manual is a huge challenge! I think you did quite well. I tried the Voigtländer manual Z 75mm 1.5 in my new ZF in Berlin this weekend. It is a brilliant lens, but I had forgotten to limit the minimum shutter speed while using auto iso in A mode, so I got many blurry shots on the street. When I did get it to focus, the IQ colour and contrast is astounding. The small 26mm 2.8 was a joy to shoot with I am so glad I got despite the mixed reviews!

    Hiking every week does the same for me. I end up taking so many landscape photos even though that’s not really my thing. It does make me have to learn to be better at it cuz I get frustrated with bad composition and exposure. The 250mm is a great idea!

    Not a huge fan of the 250mm bokeh. In the photos you showed I found that it gave me an almost dizzy effect and instead of helping to isolate the subject, it distracted me from focusing on them

    I haven't tried longer focal length then 50mm for street yet. I owned a 85mm vintage lens once to test the focal length out for my family documentation, but of course it was too long for our apartment, although very nice portrait shots of course.
    But for now I restrict myself to 50mm and sometimes 35mm for my street walks. I feel like I'm still at the very beginning of photography I finally found the focal length which I enjoy the most regarding the look of a focal length. Downside of 50mm or of course 35mm for street it's often too wide and being an introvert I struggle a lot pointing my camera into peoples faces :D
    I would like to time slot my photo walk, since I want to shoot more regulary, but unfortunately my kids often have different plans, since I work a lot from home :')
    Might change in 1 or 2 months when both of them are in day care - let's see :)
    Do you plan to switch focal length of these practise walks or do you choose sponantiously based on your preference on that day?

    • @BokehTherapy
      @BokehTherapy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I try to do one leg of the photowalk with one focal length, then switch on the way back. Prefer just shooting with one but lots of lenses to test out these days. A 50 only year long challenge would be good for me I think!

    In what way does a 85mm lens become a 56mm on a crop camera, you multiply by 1.5, not divide , the 85mm will be apx. 135mm on a crop sensor camera.

    • @BokehTherapy
      @BokehTherapy  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was using a 56mm lens for APS-C on a full frame camera which applied a DX crop to make it 85mm field of view. Think we are on the same page?
