Nice job done. Our major problem has been our maintenance culture. I pray that they maintain this one regularly so that at least, it would create employment for some people.
@@anthonyoppong-gyebi2880 and still everywhere is dirty, when was your last time you visit kumasi, or someone told you about the minister or he is your family brother,
My favourite minister in the current administration. He deserves to be maintained even if there is a change of government. Well done Honourable Minister!
Well done minister you people should work hard on this sellers should go inside the so that Accra Ghana in a whole may look beautiful, clean and smiles good for the Tourist 👏👏
This is something that should have been started a veeery loong time ago. Accra is the capital and the face of Ghana. This indiscipline should not be allowed, especially in the capital. No country has developed with such indiscipline. Everyone has the right to a living, yes, but trade should be plied at designated places. Keep up the good work and make this permanent. Accra must be need and beautiful for all.
It's unfortunate yes, but that is what happens when you only develop one area of the whole country. If every region has the infrastructure and amenities like Accra , there would be less congesting everywhere.
I think Regional ministers should be voted for not on party lines but on individual merits as the people see fit for the job.. People like this need to be in office for as long as they can so as to instill discipline.. Should the current government lose we shall lose him too.. Elections should only be for Parliament and president.. The rest being regional minister, dce and mce must be voted for by constituents without any political party influence. We need leaders like this. 👍✌️
and Nii lante Vanderpuye and The Accra minister- Henry Quartey are cousins from the opposite sides in the political divide. Nice to see that politics is being put aside in this instance for the betterment of Accra
This is what i have been wanting to see all these years. Its incredible how some of the authorities just stood aloof to watch this indiscipline behavior take place over the years.Infact it has almost been normalized to the extent that you are made to appear as wicked or without compassion if you talk about these people being sacked from there. But that shouldn't be case.We are the same ppl who compare Ghana to western countries and insult our leaders but when our leaders now decide to bring the change we seem to be screaming about we resist it.
I like what they are doing. They should move all the hawkers from the road side and free the streets. They should build huge market in Accra centre. And also houses is important for even all the people on the streets
Is about time all these road side selling, they need designated site for in every part of Ghana, buyers will come to them.Store in the building on road side is okay, all these kiosks needs to go
The level of indiscipline is unbelievable. The leaders need to put their foot down and implement rules and order . And fines or jaiil time. In order to make central Accra clean and beautiful.
Now ban plastic bags in the country and implement no loitering and littering by putting litter facilities everywhere . The mindset have to change. Just like Rwanda and Kenya Clean the gutters and introduce pavements for the people to walk on and not walking on the street. Clean the beaches Espicially in Accra. Introduce toilets .clean toilets Got a long way to go but it can be done. With perseverance and changing mindset . Love Ghana .
The government should be planting green grass and flowers 💐along the streets. I think that will help to take people away from selling items on the streets.
The best Minister in Ghana now can we Ghanaians organise Minister of the Year Award to boost the morales of ministers. This job was to be the responsibility of the useless AMA but hey if another person has done it its all good
I fully agree with you bro. Mensah Sowa, he is the most useless ama boss that Accra has ever had. I personally dont know why Nana Addo is still keeping that man in the office. Now the traders have taking over the pavement along the stretch of road in front of the Graphic Corporation and Accra Breweries, to the extent that these evil traders have taken over the car packs of these companies and are selling all kinds of meat, fish vegetables and others and everybody is quite. What kind of unregulated society is this. I have been to many countries in Africa and you don't see trading activities on the streets. You just come to the capital city of Ghana, everything is messed up. Is a shame.
So how long has this been going on? Who authorized them to cut down the trees? This must be punishable by law. Anyone found selling on medians must be jailed to serve as a deterrent. Ghanaians are too undisciplined.
I'm curious. Is this kind of job not the AMA's responsibility? I'm glad action is taking place though but how come i don't hear or see AMA in these matters? Kindly educate me, fellow Ghanaians.
Its simple, if we pay taxes, the AMA will have the money to do its job. If we don't pay taxes, it will have no funds and someone else will have to fix the issues.
All this cat and mouse games have been tried before. 'Bulldozing and clearing' have all been tried and tested before your time. It does have a small effect...temporarily. But you'll get tired and they'll come back. They'll always be more of them than you. A more sustainable approach - and the key word is 'sustainable' - if you want the discipline to remain and no more after you're gone and this not be just during your time (flash in a pan - which is how we should think and not just when I'm in power) is to put the onus or obligation of keeping roads and pavements clear on pedestrians, drivers and all other road users instead. The bye-laws should rather punish all who purchase anything while on the road side while there is a market nearby. You should then also have in the bye-laws, rewards for those who report a pedestrian or other road users who stop to buy from along the road side by recording them with phones or submitting documentary evidence to show the guilty. Trust me within a month, when no ones buys from traders by the roadside and they see they cannot sell unless they are in legitimate places like designated markets? Voila - done. Clean streets for ever more. The slogan should be: "If you buy on the road, you pay later"! God bless our homeland, Ghana. That's how it's done in some European countries, Rwanda, etc.
Brother all these laws are there but the assembly isn’t enforcing them because they go take market tolls from them so the minister has started working to show leadership by example so afterwards tasks the assemblies to continue and failure to do so the head of the assembly would be dismissed because he said he has the president’s backing so let’s all help as citizens to fight this act of indiscipline and also change our attitude and mindsets as people because we do not need authorities to always be on us for us to do the right things
@@z.t.8950 Lol, indeed. Always easy to point out someone's wrongs, I guess. You'd get more respect if you constructively gave your better suggestion instead, bro.

They are being deployed in various sectors of the city with 24 hours police supervision whiles they do the cleaning 🧹. Let’s try this and Accra will be the best .
I wish government can close down all MMDAs, they are the cause of all these problems. Always giving temporal structure permits without proper site inspections.
