Went to a "christian" camp. 3rd night in some dude and his younger brother went from cabin to cabin robbing everyone's bags for any money/cards during the chapel service. They almost got away with it, even though like 4 other people knew about it but just didn't give a shit, one of them talked though I think.
I went to a Lutheran camp on accident. I'm Catholic. It was the first night and it was swimming time. I settle into the pool with my new friends that were siblingd. I held on to the girl because I was a REALLY weak swimmer. So weak I barely passed the swim test. I was by the pool railing when this tall asshole spots us. Lights flicker in his eyes. He grabs my friend and dunks her. The boy sibling is in the bathroom, so tall asshole dunks me. I was lucky my friend was there to help me, otherwise I would have had a hard time coming back up. The pool was like those pools in movies from the eighties. Dozens of kids either in the pool or staring at it awkwardly. That camp was pretty okay to begin with. I found dirty clothes behind the bathroom door, and there was mud on the carpet. Don't put carpet in at summer camp. It's not really relevant to the original story being told though.
I was accused of doing similar stuff, because I was a very shy kid and spent most free time by myself in the cabin. They asked to search my bags, then when they didnt find anything searched the rest of my cabins as well. Dont remember if they ever found the stuff or not, just that I always made sure I had witnesses to what I was doing after that.
went to a summer camp when I was twelve. Entire camp was all-female, and my particular group really hit it off (we still have a group chat where we talk on a daily basis) It was a really incredible experience, and I made some friends for life. So, the camp had a pool, and each group had to reserve time in advance to go in the pool. Well, every. single. day. we would get changed and showered in the freezing cold showers (which they required before going in the pool), standing there, shivering, waiting to be let into the pool, and all of a sudden there would be thunder and/or lightning, and our swim session would be cancelled. Eventually, we got sick and tired of it, and I joked that the sky gods must be against us. Well, everyone thought that was hilarious and agreed, and someone suggested that we sacrifice one girl to the "sky gods" in order to appease them. One girl was absolutely desperate to get in that pool and agreed, so naturally we all picked her up, chanting "SACRIFICE. SACRIFICE. SACRIFICE. SACRIFICE.", and, still carrying her and chanting, made our way over to the edge of the pool and were just about to throw her in the pool, during a thunder/lightning storm, when the lifeguard, looking concerned and questioning her life choices, ran over and stopped us. The next day, there was no thunder or lightning, and we got to go in the pool. One of the girls from that group is now one of my best friends, and whenever we have the opportunity, we chant "SACRIFICE", in unison, much to the concern of everyone around us.

I've got a good one, I wasn't the counselor for this though. When I was younger I went to an anti drug camp, but it was really chill about just about everything. So one night after a party that happened before we were sent off, a girl I had been dancing with came to my dorm (it was on a college campus ) and we had some fun, it is about ten minutes in that I hear something outside my first floor window, and look out, now, this window is open, with only a screen between it and outside. I look out to see, wouldn't you know it, two counselors had the same idea as us, and there is this moment of "oh shit" shared by everyone in this situation. The male counselor looked me dead in the eye and said " you don't talk about her (motions to the other counselor) being here, I don't talk about her (motions to the girl with me) being here." I just nodded and closed the window and we all went on with our nights. I saw the dude the next day, and true to his word, it was never brought up again.
As a counselor at a Girl Scout camp for 7-10 year olds, I luckily haven’t experienced anything to unexpected from the kids. However, when I was a camper it was a bit of a different story. In the two years I went to camp I had three different kids threaten to murder me. That’s why I only went two years.
I just remembered an story. So way back in grade 6 when I was 11, we went on camp. I had a bf at the time. Anyways, there was this boy who woke up in the middle of the night and started cuddling all the boys in their sleep. He cuddled my bf and my bf just laid still because he didn't want anyone to know he was awake. He told me the next morning and he looked very disturbed lol
I mean since I am disabled myself it's really handy especially when my mother and brother and I go to parks and stuff. We are able to skip the whole queue
I have nothing like this but when I was at a camp, the first year I had the counselors constantly threaten to poop in our beds as a joke, and the second year I overheard a counselor threaten to hit one of the younger campers she was in charge of. I don't like camp, it messes with my mental health to have no quick contact with my parents and friends and to not be able to listen to music for that long (it was a no phones camp). Makes me feel very trapped.
Camp usually doesn't have that many sexual experiences. I went camping with girl scouts a lot, and the closest thing we had to sex was when me and another girl slept together when it was cold. Ever since then and another disasterous campout, we check out gear to make sure we'll be warm enough. At the other campout, it rained and hailed the whole time and our food was cold. We all had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, so 6 girls in pajamas and wet socks walked across the middle of a field at night. We had a cabin and bathroom, but it was very very cold that March. One girl didn't need to go to the bathroom, but she didn't want to be left alone. I have TONS more stories of me and my disasterous adventures with girl scouts.
The one time I went to a camp, a "christian" camp mind you, I got relentlessly made fun of from the moment my bunk mates saw the Barney The Dinosaur underwear my clueless mother packed me to the moment I left a few days later. Been jaded towards religion ever since.
I am sorry. Being present in a Christian setting where no-one ministers to you is extremely difficult and discouraging - I daresay the tensions and disappointments generated in such times test how deeply the Truth is written in our hearts. I hope, though, you still have room to trust that it is Christians themselves, not the religion's values or teachings, that are hypocritical, and the problem is sin, not necessarily religion or people. Christianity and its standards are about Christ - who He is, and what He has done - not other Christians, how they behave, or theological technicalities.

When I was at a music camp a few years ago, there was a short 40 minute dance that they held every year. I was one of the "good kids", as were my friends, but I remember seeing some of the older kids sneak off into the woods to *ahem* "do stuff".
When I was in college I worked at a camp for teens, 13-17. About what you'd expect, once in a while we'd come across a couple going at it behind a cabin or in the woods, truth be told we didn't care and didn't want to have to report it, so we would just make a lot of noise, so they would jump up and get clothed before we "found" them. Then we would just tell them they shouldn't be out here "talking" all alone and to go back to the main area.
I remember going to residential adventure places in high school and being separated boys and girls. They never think about the gays. I had an amazing time staying away from the girls :')
Not me but a friend of mine. It was like the third night at Christian camp and we had a short ceremony that included those thick glow sticks. They started heading back while everyone was taking their showers and when he walks in, one of the thirteen year old boys is just standing their between the bunks and showing the entire cabin how he shoved the glow stick up his butt. My friend just backed out immediately. Needless to say, that guy got banned from the camp.

I was never a counselor but during 4th grade when I was in camp with the rest of my grade on a field trip we had a few interesting stories. One time 2 kids got in a fight and the first kid decided the best action was to unload half a can of Axe Spray into the other kids face and eyes. Another time we had a party in the chow hall on the last day and there's this kid that was chubby, wore wranglers and cowboy boots. He looked towards a group of us and called us over. This 4th grade at 120 LBS and wearing wrangler jeans did the FULL SPLITS and in 10 minutes the entire grade was talking about it. Dude was insane in all the best ways. Finally, we were on our 2nd night and as everyone started going to bed we heard what sounded like a bear growling. Turns out one of the kids in our cabin was snoring and sounded like a bear. Next morning we leave the cabin to find out that kids 2 cabins over could hear the "bear growling" and we never let the "bear" forget it.
I actually have a funny story for this. I am a youth counsellor for a choir camp every summer in Norway. Once, a few years back, me and another counsellor were going evening rounds (making sure the kids were asleep). All the kids have to put their phones in some shelves by the door so we can see them. There were four boys in this one room (about 11 to 13 y/o), and four phones by the door, and the room was quiet, so we left. We came back about half an hour later, before we went to bed, to check again, and there were still four phones by the door, in the exact same spot, only one of them suddenly had a cracked screen (which it didn't have before). Clarely, one of the boys had gotten his phone and somehow broken it. The other counsellor and I had to run out of the room, because we started laughing so hard. I still chuckle about it to this day.
Not NSFW but when I was 13 i was allowed to help volunteer at my dance studio and help the younger classes (2-3 year olds) there were two classes, one was the people who paid for their kids to dance, and one was for the kids who were from low income families, and were offered to be able to dance, I was in the higher classes that did dance competitively, (the studio took dancers from 2-18 years old) I was with the kids who were from low income families, but everyone in the class was very sweet, there was only one boy in the class but he was very easy to teach, pretty much kept to himself and was chill, but this one couple who was the parent of a girl from the paid class, always gave him dirty looks as he really liked to dress up more feminine, for example on Halloween we let the students dress up in costumes and the teachers and volunteers would dress up too! The dance teacher (was my boss and a very carding person) was worried some of the students from the low income course wouldn’t be able to dress up due to not having the money, so me along with a few other girls who volunteered to help decided we would donate our old Halloween costumes from when we were little, while I was at home looking through my attic I found a whole 2 laundry baskets of Disney princess dresses, that I remember wearing all the time when I was little, I remember hearing the little boy (we’ll call him J) saying he really liked princesses, and how he wanted to be a princess, so i had an idea and went to my parents and asked them if I could give him all these Disney princess dresses (I think there were about 10-12 of them) my parents said I could do I put them in one of those big plastic containers that came with lids, and called my boss and she was so excited to give them to him! She ended up calling his parents telling them one of the volunteers had a big suprise for him and to bring him early to the next class to receive it, that day comes around and he comes into the office looking super excited! I was there and went up to him pushing the big plastic bin over to him telling him to open it, he opened it, looked inside, and the way his face lit up will stay with me forever! He pulled out a sleeping beauty dress that looked exactly like the one from the Disney movie and asked if he could try it on, I told him of course and his dad took him to the bathroom to help him put the dress on, when the boy and his father left the mom came up to me and thanked me, I told her “its no problem, I had them in my attic and thought who better to give them too” the boy comes back and was smiling so big, and let’s just say he had a great Halloween, other than a few stares from a few other parents, but he didn’t care! it makes me smile just thinking about it
One of my classmates went to camp every year and told me a shit ton of stories. One of my favourites is when my classmate took a huge puff while they were standing ina row, he saw the counselor moving down the line and had to do something. So he blew the smoke into his shirt. A few of his friends looked at him and started laughing, the smoke was coming out of his shirt. He ran from the line and started flaining his shirt in panic while even more people started laughing. Luckily enough, the counselor didn’t pay attention though. Another story I found pretty amusing was when him and a couple friends got drunk, the counselor walked in and didn’t even say anything even though he could clearly see all the bottles. However, they were super mad at them for going into the girls’ cabin and staying over the night there. They had to make up some excuse like: “Oh we were always in the boys’ cabin, we just didn’t hear you” Which didn’t work out because they were screaming both in the boys’ and girls’ cabin when looking for them
1. A counselor at my camp came back drunk around 2 and threw up all in her cabin where her campers were sleeping. The smell later woke up the campers (who were around 9). She was fired the next day. 2. Two counselors at my camp were beefing and one of the counselors got trashed, and attempted to piss on the other counselors bed before he got back. He was caught in the act and fired the next day.
*I was a CIT at a Boyscout camp and I had to clean up a waffle stomp in one of the showers. That whole week we had waffle stomps all over the camp. Similar story to **7:20**.*

That's exactly for me: In my scout group we scare the newest one with the legend of the one scout that got crucified. Yes, crucified. This guy was the leader of the bull's squadron (I was the jaguar's one), and none ever liked him because he could do absolutely nothing. It's not something we ever looks, but this little guy which we'll name E was always trying to show off his non existent skills and mocked other scout for their lack of skill. The jaguar's squadron, allied the other make squadron (yes i was in a mixed group) Allied ourselves to make him pay the last night of the scout camp, which in our group for tradition all kind of jokes would be made. So they basically kidnapped him from his tent, tied his and with a small log and hoisted it on a tree, all this while wearing a white mask (because you know why not). I also want to say that they were all teenager (13 to 16) and yes, we had our way to have fun 😅
I was never a counselor, but I did go to camp one week and the only bad thing was that my nose bled everyday (it’s not good in heat lmao) and I had to go to the hospital cause I was crying blood. Plus a girl went “missing” in my cabin so me and a couple of girls went looking for her. We walked all over camp and couldn’t find her. She ended up being under her giant blanket. It was either huge or she’s just really tiny.
Not in summer camp but in high school we has a fantom crapper poop in on of the trash cans behind the stage and apparently nobody noticed it until the trash can was full and needed to be emptied. As you can probably imagine the smell of decomposing turds was pretty horrible.
When I was in third grade a bunch of boys my age peeked in the girls changing room while waiting to swim, or at least, they "pretended" to. You see, there were two bends at the exit to the changing room, so it was actually impossible for them to see what was happening anyway. I told on them and despite their excuse they still got in trouble.
I used to work at a boy scout camp and when my staff patrol was doing our weekly cleaning assignment on saturday (we were assigned to the showerhouses that week) we started cleaning the toilets when we found out that some camper decided to take a crap on the floor next to the toilet. We ended up playing rock paper scissors to decide who had to clean that up. (luckily I didn't lose the game so I didn't pick up the crap)
Once I went to church camp, and keep in mind, this consisted of 11th and 12th graders. One of these people happened to do wrestling, so he and several other dudes set up a wrestling ring with the other guys in the house. I wasn't able to do this because I had bruised my thigh by falling back in the swivel chair.
Wasn't a counselor, but a boyscout attending when it happened. A 1st year scout was attending summer camp and really didn't want to be there, but knew he couldn't leave unless he caused a major scene. Coincidentally he had been holding in a shit for 4 of the 7 days and decided that night to let it out in his tent. He then took it a step further and smeared his shit all over the tent, his stuff, himself, and even his tent-mate's stuff and his tent-mate who was already sleeping. He later went to the senior leadership tent and told them he had an "accident" and needed help. The half of the senior scouts who couldn't see him said to come in while the other half who did refused to open the tent more as he was covered from head to toe in poop. They all went to see his mess and long story short he got his wish to go home, at the expense of his very traumatized tent-mate, who thankfully years later was able to laugh about it and even managed to obtain Eagle.

Wasn't a counsellor/not NSFW but I was in girl guides which is basically watered-down Girl scouts. We were at Camp Ademack, bunking underneath the Brownies room. Brownies are 6-8 year olds. Also, we weren't in cabins. It was a two story building, the younger kids on the level closest to the road (The higher one) and the older ones were below (The lower one[basement]) Can you where this is going? At this time, I was 11, maybe twelve and in Guides/Pathfinders, the third oldest and second oldest group. We were slepping lightly when we hear the *Pat pat pat* of little feet running. After that, the guiders start talking loudly about Bloody Mary, as there was a mirror on the wall. That's how I spent my birthday weekend two or three years ago.

I only went to camp once, for my grade 8 graduation trip. My personal experience was one night of no sleep, one night of exhausted snoring, and one more night of no sleep. Each night was broken up by activities of the typical camp variety. That being said, I did hear a rumor that on the last night one of the girls' cabins let in one of the boys' cabins and were caught almost immediately. Me? I came home covered in bug bites and with no desire to ever experience camp again.
Literally just finished my 2 month tenure at a summer camp about an hour ago. Approximately 2 weeks ago, One of my fellow counselors had to talk to his supervisor to have a kid sent home early. He had been in a sort of “bully war” with another kid in his cabin for a while and had been a general tool to the other kids in the cabin. It all came to a head when the kid in question stood on his adversary’s bed and peed all over it. I myself had one kid (let’s call him Rick) who had to be pulled off another camper because he had camper two in a choke hold cause they were wrestling to gain possession of a dodgeball. I then had to physically restrain Rick to prevent him from charging up to the porch of kid 2’s cabin to assault him further. Kid had serious anger issues and this wasn’t his first altercation. In retrospect, me and my co counselor for our cabin probably should have sent him home early, it was literally the last day of camp, so we didn’t see much of a point. I seriously hope Rick gets better.
The Chinese kid, if he was raised most of his life in China probably had less bodily inhibitions by nature. Sometimes you gotta go and sometimes it has to be around other people.
my former middle school does this thing where 6th 7th and 8th grade all gets one big end of the year field trip. for 6th grade, it's a three day, two night trip to a camp for the whole grade. cabins are gender separated with a quarter mile of camp in between them, so no shenanighans (?) went on between a boy and a girl. The cabins are actually larger buildings separated into two cabins by a heavy sliding door. In the cabin next to mine, one of the kids (kind of a quiet kid, only hangs out with a couple people) could be heard humping his pillow both nights, even through the sliding door, and then everyone ostracized him through middle school and I think he went to jail for stealing a car
I worked as a Junior Counselor at a fairly large Boy Scout camp I had previously attended myself a few years earlier. There were probably 25 females in the whole camp of some 500 men and boys. Most were older female staff except for 5 sisters ranging from 13 to 20 years old that lived at the camp because their mom worked at headquarters and their dad was the director of the rifle range. Well about 3 weeks into the summer a used condom was found behind the staff cabins and let's just say the next week their dad did a lot more demonstrations as usual and staff were no longer allowed outside their cabins after sundown unless they had night watch.
One time I was at a Friends House and another friend was also there with his little brother. And then my friend dared him to pull down his pants and then he did and started to chase me until I eventually got him to stop it was the most horrifying thing I saw.
I dont work with kids anymore. When I was a preteen I was a junior camp counselor... I was let go from that position cuz I bit a child as punishment for him not cleaning up when asked. Seemed very reasonable at the time. I told him what would happen and by goodness im a man of my honor. When I finished high school I got a part time job working as a lunch monitor for my old elementary school. I was fired cuz I "made children cry", "gave a girl nightmares", "incited a riot". And the kids even the ones I scared and made cried signed petitions to get me back lol. Didn't work but it was very kinda of them to try. So now after all that I just decided the working with kids was just not for me
I was a counselor at a scout reservation this summer and though I didn't see it, I did hear about it. The quartermaster (person who handles all the equipment and checks it out to scouts/troops/crews) in 2019 would have frequent visits with a counselor over at another camp on res. Apparently, they would check out of camp on their night off to go "hang out" with this other staffer. The only way we knew was that the other staffer's tentmate walked in on them once. They were not rehired this year.

Was an activity coordinator at a Christian summer camp. There was a prison not too far away. One night several counselors and I convinced the boy campers that an axe murderer had escaped and was on the loose, complete with axe stuck in tree visible from cabin window. It was my last week there.
Oh boy I remember when I was an assistant councilor back in high school. Have some interesting stories, but by far the worst experience was when coming back from the camp fire the final night and suddenly when trying to do a headcount noticing two are missing, and the actual councilor for my cabin is nowhere to be seen as he was in a meeting. Literally almost had a heart attack trying to search for them and about half of us for the age group were running around the whole camp searching. The worst part is that we had been right next to the lake during the campfire. Yeah, turns out the little shits had just stayed at the camp fire and hadn't followed. They were found after about half an hour, and after they were found and someone finally let me know my memory goes fuzzy. Apparently I had a panic attack and kind of passed out and was brought to the nurses. I will say that those two kids were the best behaved kids I had ever met the next day, though they kept avoiding eye contact. Worst part about this whole thing was that I wasn't even supposed to be working that week as I had volunteered for only two weeks, but since they would be short staffed that next week I decided to stay.
i am not a camp counsellor but i remember seeing some weird shit in that cabin... ive always had trouble getting to sleep at night, still do actually, but at the time i was having htis issue, and couldnt sleep, a kid woke up in the cabin which consisted of around 10 bunk beds in a room you could cross corner to corner via walking in about 3 seconds, maybe 4. very small room. this kid wakes up while im still awake, he looks around, thinking everyone is asleep, gets out of bed, crawls down, and then proceeds to pee into another kids sleeping bag, very loudly. after he finished, he went back and laid down. i was trying to stay quiet. i succeded in being quiet as i was never a loud child anyway. he never knew i watched the whole thing. after everyone woke up, the other kid was convinced he had peed his pants until he saw that the front of his pants were not wet. only the back was. i didnt want to say anything, but watching the kid who had done it act all awkward was the funniest shit to me. one of the counsellors saw his face really red and asked him if he knew what happened. he, being a horrible liar said "n- no i didnt do it...: the counsellors knew it was him after that.
I wasn't an actual counselor but I was around 13 and got stuck in a group with 6-7 year olds and our actual counselor didn't give a flying fuck. One of the campers regularly pissed the bed, and another was terrified of all and every spider/bug. Mind you we were sleeping in platform tents not even a cabin...

Went to the most popular music camp in north America a while back. First night the whole floor was woken up by what the military calls: "a Baracks bunny". Got to listen to the floor monitors kick the door down and kick out both partys.
Yeah, my camp is in Michigan, big piece of land on a little lake, we have trailer camping, a residential area, some hotel type rooms, a bunch of cabins, and some woods. We have age groups in the cabins one week each, they do a bunch of activities, my family runs crafts, ceramics, all summer, in exchange for a trailer lot.
Here in Russia (ex-USSR) we have similar things inherited from Soviet era. Nowadays its called "summer camp" or just "camp for children", previous - "pioneers' camp" (pioneers are something like boy scouts). Big companies have ones for their workers children (inherited from soviet past when it was free or cheap for parents). Mostly they ruled by a city or a state. Sometimes they're private. Orphans and poor children often going on camps for free (sponsored by the state)
When I was a kid (30 years ago), summer camps were a thing here in Finland and I'm sure they still are in some way (well, will be once we get past covid). Personally I never went to camp and looking back it would have been a bad idea. Being stuck for a week or two with all those strange kids and adults, I would have been so home sick and it would have been a torture.
I wouldn’t say Northamerican, here in Mexico, camps are quite difficult to find, and are normally military camps or Boy Scouts organised by schools themselves, and almost every single one of them are reserved for boys (because they care less if they get kidnapped and murdered by the cartels) Worst part is that it isn’t a joke (reason why they are so rare nowadays), though you can still find some abandoned camps
So the weekend between weeks 6 and 7 when almost everyone is off, a counsellor and a lifeguard (who I had a crush on) hooked up in front of me (another counsellor), and another counsellor who was on a FaceTIme call with her bf. I promptly left with 4 other counsellors who initially planned to sleep in the hotel room where the hookup took place. Let's say a lot of us were uncomfortable that week.
I've got one as a camper tho, Bloody Year 11 Camp at a snowy mountain, 9:00 or something, we're all still awake and another camper comes and knocks on our window, fully naked and asks to be let in after he climbed outta the second story window and preform a snow angel in the snow, he couldn't get back in, and our window was the closest. TLDR: Idiot camper preforms snow angel naked, has to show himself to another room of people.

Went to a "christian" camp. 3rd night in some dude and his younger brother went from cabin to cabin robbing everyone's bags for any money/cards during the chapel service. They almost got away with it, even though like 4 other people knew about it but just didn't give a shit, one of them talked though I think.
I went to a Lutheran camp on accident. I'm Catholic. It was the first night and it was swimming time. I settle into the pool with my new friends that were siblingd. I held on to the girl because I was a REALLY weak swimmer. So weak I barely passed the swim test. I was by the pool railing when this tall asshole spots us. Lights flicker in his eyes. He grabs my friend and dunks her. The boy sibling is in the bathroom, so tall asshole dunks me. I was lucky my friend was there to help me, otherwise I would have had a hard time coming back up. The pool was like those pools in movies from the eighties. Dozens of kids either in the pool or staring at it awkwardly. That camp was pretty okay to begin with. I found dirty clothes behind the bathroom door, and there was mud on the carpet. Don't put carpet in at summer camp. It's not really relevant to the original story being told though.

I was accused of doing similar stuff, because I was a very shy kid and spent most free time by myself in the cabin. They asked to search my bags, then when they didnt find anything searched the rest of my cabins as well. Dont remember if they ever found the stuff or not, just that I always made sure I had witnesses to what I was doing after that.

went to a summer camp when I was twelve. Entire camp was all-female, and my particular group really hit it off (we still have a group chat where we talk on a daily basis) It was a really incredible experience, and I made some friends for life. So, the camp had a pool, and each group had to reserve time in advance to go in the pool. Well, every. single. day. we would get changed and showered in the freezing cold showers (which they required before going in the pool), standing there, shivering, waiting to be let into the pool, and all of a sudden there would be thunder and/or lightning, and our swim session would be cancelled. Eventually, we got sick and tired of it, and I joked that the sky gods must be against us. Well, everyone thought that was hilarious and agreed, and someone suggested that we sacrifice one girl to the "sky gods" in order to appease them. One girl was absolutely desperate to get in that pool and agreed, so naturally we all picked her up, chanting "SACRIFICE. SACRIFICE. SACRIFICE. SACRIFICE.", and, still carrying her and chanting, made our way over to the edge of the pool and were just about to throw her in the pool, during a thunder/lightning storm, when the lifeguard, looking concerned and questioning her life choices, ran over and stopped us. The next day, there was no thunder or lightning, and we got to go in the pool. One of the girls from that group is now one of my best friends, and whenever we have the opportunity, we chant "SACRIFICE", in unison, much to the concern of everyone around us.

I've got a good one, I wasn't the counselor for this though. When I was younger I went to an anti drug camp, but it was really chill about just about everything. So one night after a party that happened before we were sent off, a girl I had been dancing with came to my dorm (it was on a college campus ) and we had some fun, it is about ten minutes in that I hear something outside my first floor window, and look out, now, this window is open, with only a screen between it and outside. I look out to see, wouldn't you know it, two counselors had the same idea as us, and there is this moment of "oh shit" shared by everyone in this situation. The male counselor looked me dead in the eye and said " you don't talk about her (motions to the other counselor) being here, I don't talk about her (motions to the girl with me) being here." I just nodded and closed the window and we all went on with our nights. I saw the dude the next day, and true to his word, it was never brought up again.

As a counselor at a Girl Scout camp for 7-10 year olds, I luckily haven’t experienced anything to unexpected from the kids. However, when I was a camper it was a bit of a different story. In the two years I went to camp I had three different kids threaten to murder me. That’s why I only went two years.

I have nothing like this but when I was at a camp, the first year I had the counselors constantly threaten to poop in our beds as a joke, and the second year I overheard a counselor threaten to hit one of the younger campers she was in charge of. I don't like camp, it messes with my mental health to have no quick contact with my parents and friends and to not be able to listen to music for that long (it was a no phones camp). Makes me feel very trapped.

Camp usually doesn't have that many sexual experiences. I went camping with girl scouts a lot, and the closest thing we had to sex was when me and another girl slept together when it was cold. Ever since then and another disasterous campout, we check out gear to make sure we'll be warm enough. At the other campout, it rained and hailed the whole time and our food was cold. We all had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, so 6 girls in pajamas and wet socks walked across the middle of a field at night. We had a cabin and bathroom, but it was very very cold that March. One girl didn't need to go to the bathroom, but she didn't want to be left alone. I have TONS more stories of me and my disasterous adventures with girl scouts.

When I was at a music camp a few years ago, there was a short 40 minute dance that they held every year. I was one of the "good kids", as were my friends, but I remember seeing some of the older kids sneak off into the woods to *ahem* "do stuff".
When I was in college I worked at a camp for teens, 13-17. About what you'd expect, once in a while we'd come across a couple going at it behind a cabin or in the woods, truth be told we didn't care and didn't want to have to report it, so we would just make a lot of noise, so they would jump up and get clothed before we "found" them. Then we would just tell them they shouldn't be out here "talking" all alone and to go back to the main area.
I remember going to residential adventure places in high school and being separated boys and girls. They never think about the gays. I had an amazing time staying away from the girls :')

I was never a counselor but during 4th grade when I was in camp with the rest of my grade on a field trip we had a few interesting stories. One time 2 kids got in a fight and the first kid decided the best action was to unload half a can of Axe Spray into the other kids face and eyes. Another time we had a party in the chow hall on the last day and there's this kid that was chubby, wore wranglers and cowboy boots. He looked towards a group of us and called us over. This 4th grade at 120 LBS and wearing wrangler jeans did the FULL SPLITS and in 10 minutes the entire grade was talking about it. Dude was insane in all the best ways. Finally, we were on our 2nd night and as everyone started going to bed we heard what sounded like a bear growling. Turns out one of the kids in our cabin was snoring and sounded like a bear. Next morning we leave the cabin to find out that kids 2 cabins over could hear the "bear growling" and we never let the "bear" forget it.
I actually have a funny story for this.
I am a youth counsellor for a choir camp every summer in Norway. Once, a few years back, me and another counsellor were going evening rounds (making sure the kids were asleep). All the kids have to put their phones in some shelves by the door so we can see them. There were four boys in this one room (about 11 to 13 y/o), and four phones by the door, and the room was quiet, so we left. We came back about half an hour later, before we went to bed, to check again, and there were still four phones by the door, in the exact same spot, only one of them suddenly had a cracked screen (which it didn't have before). Clarely, one of the boys had gotten his phone and somehow broken it. The other counsellor and I had to run out of the room, because we started laughing so hard. I still chuckle about it to this day.

Not NSFW but when I was 13 i was allowed to help volunteer at my dance studio and help the younger classes (2-3 year olds) there were two classes, one was the people who paid for their kids to dance, and one was for the kids who were from low income families, and were offered to be able to dance, I was in the higher classes that did dance competitively, (the studio took dancers from 2-18 years old) I was with the kids who were from low income families, but everyone in the class was very sweet, there was only one boy in the class but he was very easy to teach, pretty much kept to himself and was chill, but this one couple who was the parent of a girl from the paid class, always gave him dirty looks as he really liked to dress up more feminine, for example on Halloween we let the students dress up in costumes and the teachers and volunteers would dress up too! The dance teacher (was my boss and a very carding person) was worried some of the students from the low income course wouldn’t be able to dress up due to not having the money, so me along with a few other girls who volunteered to help decided we would donate our old Halloween costumes from when we were little, while I was at home looking through my attic I found a whole 2 laundry baskets of Disney princess dresses, that I remember wearing all the time when I was little, I remember hearing the little boy (we’ll call him J) saying he really liked princesses, and how he wanted to be a princess, so i had an idea and went to my parents and asked them if I could give him all these Disney princess dresses (I think there were about 10-12 of them) my parents said I could do I put them in one of those big plastic containers that came with lids, and called my boss and she was so excited to give them to him! She ended up calling his parents telling them one of the volunteers had a big suprise for him and to bring him early to the next class to receive it, that day comes around and he comes into the office looking super excited! I was there and went up to him pushing the big plastic bin over to him telling him to open it, he opened it, looked inside, and the way his face lit up will stay with me forever! He pulled out a sleeping beauty dress that looked exactly like the one from the Disney movie and asked if he could try it on, I told him of course and his dad took him to the bathroom to help him put the dress on, when the boy and his father left the mom came up to me and thanked me, I told her “its no problem, I had them in my attic and thought who better to give them too” the boy comes back and was smiling so big, and let’s just say he had a great Halloween, other than a few stares from a few other parents, but he didn’t care! it makes me smile just thinking about it
One of my classmates went to camp every year and told me a shit ton of stories.
One of my favourites is when my classmate took a huge puff while they were standing ina row, he saw the counselor moving down the line and had to do something. So he blew the smoke into his shirt. A few of his friends looked at him and started laughing, the smoke was coming out of his shirt. He ran from the line and started flaining his shirt in panic while even more people started laughing. Luckily enough, the counselor didn’t pay attention though.
Another story I found pretty amusing was when him and a couple friends got drunk, the counselor walked in and didn’t even say anything even though he could clearly see all the bottles. However, they were super mad at them for going into the girls’ cabin and staying over the night there. They had to make up some excuse like: “Oh we were always in the boys’ cabin, we just didn’t hear you” Which didn’t work out because they were screaming both in the boys’ and girls’ cabin when looking for them
1. A counselor at my camp came back drunk around 2 and threw up all in her cabin where her campers were sleeping. The smell later woke up the campers (who were around 9). She was fired the next day.
2. Two counselors at my camp were beefing and one of the counselors got trashed, and attempted to piss on the other counselors bed before he got back. He was caught in the act and fired the next day.

In my scout group we scare the newest one with the legend of the one scout that got crucified. Yes, crucified.
This guy was the leader of the bull's squadron (I was the jaguar's one), and none ever liked him because he could do absolutely nothing. It's not something we ever looks, but this little guy which we'll name E was always trying to show off his non existent skills and mocked other scout for their lack of skill.
The jaguar's squadron, allied the other make squadron (yes i was in a mixed group)
Allied ourselves to make him pay the last night of the scout camp, which in our group for tradition all kind of jokes would be made. So they basically kidnapped him from his tent, tied his and with a small log and hoisted it on a tree, all this while wearing a white mask (because you know why not).
I also want to say that they were all teenager (13 to 16) and yes, we had our way to have fun 😅
I was never a counselor, but I did go to camp one week and the only bad thing was that my nose bled everyday (it’s not good in heat lmao) and I had to go to the hospital cause I was crying blood. Plus a girl went “missing” in my cabin so me and a couple of girls went looking for her. We walked all over camp and couldn’t find her. She ended up being under her giant blanket. It was either huge or she’s just really tiny.
Not in summer camp but in high school we has a fantom crapper poop in on of the trash cans behind the stage and apparently nobody noticed it until the trash can was full and needed to be emptied. As you can probably imagine the smell of decomposing turds was pretty horrible.

When I was in third grade a bunch of boys my age peeked in the girls changing room while waiting to swim, or at least, they "pretended" to. You see, there were two bends at the exit to the changing room, so it was actually impossible for them to see what was happening anyway. I told on them and despite their excuse they still got in trouble.
I used to work at a boy scout camp and when my staff patrol was doing our weekly cleaning assignment on saturday (we were assigned to the showerhouses that week) we started cleaning the toilets when we found out that some camper decided to take a crap on the floor next to the toilet. We ended up playing rock paper scissors to decide who had to clean that up. (luckily I didn't lose the game so I didn't pick up the crap)

Once I went to church camp, and keep in mind, this consisted of 11th and 12th graders. One of these people happened to do wrestling, so he and several other dudes set up a wrestling ring with the other guys in the house. Wasn't a counselor, but a boyscout attending when it happened. A 1st year scout was attending summer camp and really didn't want to be there, but knew he couldn't leave unless he caused a major scene. Coincidentally he had been holding in a shit for 4 of the 7 days and decided that night to let it out in his tent. He then took it a step further and smeared his shit all over the tent, his stuff, himself, and even his tent-mate's stuff and his tent-mate who was already sleeping. He later went to the senior leadership tent and told them he had an "accident" and needed help. The half of the senior scouts who couldn't see him said to come in while the other half who did refused to open the tent more as he was covered from head to toe in poop. They all went to see his mess and long story short he got his wish to go home, at the expense of his very traumatized tent-mate, who thankfully years later was able to laugh about it and even managed to obtain Eagle.

Also, we weren't in cabins. It was a two story building, the younger kids on the level closest to the road (The higher one) and the older ones were below (The lower one[basement]) Can you where this is going? At this time, I was 11, maybe twelve and in Guides/Pathfinders, the third oldest and second oldest group. We were slepping lightly when we hear the *Pat pat pat* of little feet running. After that, the guiders start talking loudly about Bloody Mary, as there was a mirror on the wall. That's how I spent my birthday weekend two or three years ago.

Literally just finished my 2 month tenure at a summer camp about an hour ago. Approximately 2 weeks ago, One of my fellow counselors had to talk to his supervisor to have a kid sent home early. He had been in a sort of “bully war” with another kid in his cabin for a while and had been a general tool to the other kids in the cabin. It all came to a head when the kid in question stood on his adversary’s bed and peed all over it.
I myself had one kid (let’s call him Rick) who had to be pulled off another camper because he had camper two in a choke hold cause they were wrestling to gain possession of a dodgeball. I then had to physically restrain Rick to prevent him from charging up to the porch of kid 2’s cabin to assault him further. Kid had serious anger issues and this wasn’t his first altercation. In retrospect, me and my co counselor for our cabin probably should have sent him home early, it was literally the last day of camp, so we didn’t see much of a point. I seriously hope Rick gets better.
The Chinese kid, if he was raised most of his life in China probably had less bodily inhibitions by nature. Sometimes you gotta go and sometimes it has to be around other people.
my former middle school does this thing where 6th 7th and 8th grade all gets one big end of the year field trip. for 6th grade, it's a three day, two night trip to a camp for the whole grade. cabins are gender separated with a quarter mile of camp in between them, so no shenanighans (?) went on between a boy and a girl. The cabins are actually larger buildings separated into two cabins by a heavy sliding door. In the cabin next to mine, one of the kids (kind of a quiet kid, only hangs out with a couple people) could be heard humping his pillow both nights, even through the sliding door, and then everyone ostracized him through middle school and I think he went to jail for stealing a car

I worked as a Junior Counselor at a fairly large Boy Scout camp I had previously attended myself a few years earlier. There were probably 25 females in the whole camp of some 500 men and boys. Most were older female staff except for 5 sisters ranging from 13 to 20 years old that lived at the camp because their mom worked at headquarters and their dad was the director of the rifle range. Well about 3 weeks into the summer a used condom was found behind the staff cabins and let's just say the next week their dad did a lot more demonstrations as usual and staff were no longer allowed outside their cabins after sundown unless they had night watch.
One time I was at a Friends House and another friend was also there with his little brother. And then my friend dared him to pull down his pants and then he did and started to chase me until I eventually got him to stop it was the most horrifying thing I saw.
I dont work with kids anymore. When I was a preteen I was a junior camp counselor... I was let go from that position cuz I bit a child as punishment for him not cleaning up when asked. Seemed very reasonable at the time. I told him what would happen and by goodness im a man of my honor. When I finished high school I got a part time job working as a lunch monitor for my old elementary school. I was fired cuz I "made children cry", "gave a girl nightmares", "incited a riot". And the kids even the ones I scared and made cried signed petitions to get me back lol. Didn't work but it was very kinda of them to try. So now after all that I just decided the working with kids was just not for me

I was a counselor at a scout reservation this summer and though I didn't see it, I did hear about it. The quartermaster (person who handles all the equipment and checks it out to scouts/troops/crews) in 2019 would have frequent visits with a counselor over at another camp on res. Apparently, they would check out of camp on their night off to go "hang out" with this other staffer. The only way we knew was that the other staffer's tentmate walked in on them once. They were not rehired this year.

This isn’t necessarily NSFW at all but I once went on a 7th grade camping thing and I was so sick on the second day I had thrown up at least 15-25 times throughout the day and I was in and out of consciousness, but me being extremely insecure and not talkative at all kept quiet and didn’t tell anyone even though I genuinely thought my time had come
Was an activity coordinator at a Christian summer camp. There was a prison not too far away. One night several counselors and I convinced the boy campers that an axe murderer had escaped and was on the loose, complete with axe stuck in tree visible from cabin window. It was my last week there.
Oh boy I remember when I was an assistant councilor back in high school. Have some interesting stories, but by far the worst experience was when coming back from the camp fire the final night and suddenly when trying to do a headcount noticing two are missing, and the actual councilor for my cabin is nowhere to be seen as he was in a meeting. Literally almost had a heart attack trying to search for them and about half of us for the age group were running around the whole camp searching. The worst part is that we had been right next to the lake during the campfire. Yeah, turns out the little shits had just stayed at the camp fire and hadn't followed. They were found after about half an hour, and after they were found and someone finally let me know my memory goes fuzzy. Apparently I had a panic attack and kind of passed out and was brought to the nurses. I will say that those two kids were the best behaved kids I had ever met the next day, though they kept avoiding eye contact.
Worst part about this whole thing was that I wasn't even supposed to be working that week as I had volunteered for only two weeks, but since they would be short staffed that next week I decided to stay.
i am not a camp counsellor but i remember seeing some weird shit in that cabin...
ive always had trouble getting to sleep at night, still do actually, but at the time i was having htis issue, and couldnt sleep, a kid woke up in the cabin which consisted of around 10 bunk beds in a room you could cross corner to corner via walking in about 3 seconds, maybe 4. very small room.
this kid wakes up while im still awake, he looks around, thinking everyone is asleep, gets out of bed, crawls down, and then proceeds to pee into another kids sleeping bag, very loudly. after he finished, he went back and laid down. i was trying to stay quiet. i succeded in being quiet as i was never a loud child anyway. he never knew i watched the whole thing.
after everyone woke up, the other kid was convinced he had peed his pants until he saw that the front of his pants were not wet. only the back was. i didnt want to say anything, but watching the kid who had done it act all awkward was the funniest shit to me. one of the counsellors saw his face really red and asked him if he knew what happened. he, being a horrible liar said "n- no i didnt do it...:
the counsellors knew it was him after that.

I wasn't an actual counselor but I was around 13 and got stuck in a group with 6-7 year olds and our actual counselor didn't give a flying fuck. One of the campers regularly pissed the bed, and another was terrified of all and every spider/bug. Mind you we were sleeping in platform tents not even a cabin...

My name is Sam and for a moment I thought the Sam story was about me but then I remembered that I was always at a daycare so I never went to any camps.
Even though im a camper the most NSFW thing i saw AT A CHURCH CAMP was that some kids were fight so one kid picked up a bottle of bleach and sprayed it into another kids mouth Long story short kid had to go to a medical tent while we were getting yelled at until someone confessed (mainly because we kept on tell the counselor who it was) luckily the kid survived BUT THE KID WHO SPRAYED BLEACH IN THE KIDS MOUTH DID NOT GET IN TROUBLE BECAUSE HE KEPT CRYING
i mean, i went camping with a friend, it was cold so we got closser , sponning ,and few minutes later he got a hardon and started dry humping me thinking i was sleeping.... i mean , we werent caught by a camp counselor but his adopted sister (her original parents were abusive so she went in multiple family until she found the one! and actually asked to be adopted... cute story actually)...well she saw everything until we turn of the lamp, the rest was sounds hahaha
anyway it was pretty recent so we were all 18 years old to 20 years old, on a private camping site .... nice place but private lmao, normaly its for hunting ...

Went to the most popular music camp in north America a while back. First night the whole floor was woken up by what the military calls: "a Baracks bunny". Got to listen to the floor monitors kick the door down and kick out both partys.
What kind of camps is this? Seemes to be an northamerican thing.
Yeah, my camp is in Michigan, big piece of land on a little lake, we have trailer camping, a residential area, some hotel type rooms, a bunch of cabins, and some woods. We have age groups in the cabins one week each, they do a bunch of activities, my family runs crafts, ceramics, all summer, in exchange for a trailer lot.
It really is a North American thing.
I live in the USA and honestly I've never heard of these camps taking place in any other continent.
Here in Russia (ex-USSR) we have similar things inherited from Soviet era. Nowadays its called "summer camp" or just "camp for children", previous - "pioneers' camp" (pioneers are something like boy scouts). Big companies have ones for their workers children (inherited from soviet past when it was free or cheap for parents). Mostly they ruled by a city or a state. Sometimes they're private. Orphans and poor children often going on camps for free (sponsored by the state)
When I was a kid (30 years ago), summer camps were a thing here in Finland and I'm sure they still are in some way (well, will be once we get past covid). Personally I never went to camp and looking back it would have been a bad idea. Being stuck for a week or two with all those strange kids and adults, I would have been so home sick and it would have been a torture.
I wouldn’t say Northamerican, here in Mexico, camps are quite difficult to find, and are normally military camps or Boy Scouts organised by schools themselves, and almost every single one of them are reserved for boys (because they care less if they get kidnapped and murdered by the cartels)
Worst part is that it isn’t a joke (reason why they are so rare nowadays), though you can still find some abandoned camps
So the weekend between weeks 6 and 7 when almost everyone is off, a counsellor and a lifeguard (who I had a crush on) hooked up in front of me (another counsellor), and another counsellor who was on a FaceTIme call with her bf. I promptly left with 4 other counsellors who initially planned to sleep in the hotel room where the hookup took place. Let's say a lot of us were uncomfortable that week.

I've got one as a camper tho, Bloody Year 11 Camp at a snowy mountain, 9:00 or something, we're all still awake and another camper comes and knocks on our window, fully naked and asks to be let in after he climbed outta the second story window and preform a snow angel in the snow, he couldn't get back in, and our window was the closest.
TLDR: Idiot camper preforms snow angel naked, has to show himself to another room of people.
