Amanda, your story is an inspiration to me! I watched your audition, as have many others, and thought, "Wow! She amazing!" And to clarify, it isn't only your voice that made you special; it was your heart and your fire for God. Idk if others may have told you, but all flattery aside, you have a presence in your voice that I hear in few others. When you sing, there's a depth and passion there and its amazing! For almost twelve years now, I have served the Lord and tried to find my calling. I love to speak, and I'm told I am good with words, but my passion has always been in music to some extent my whole life. The, ah, trouble is that I, as a general rule, I can't shift notes on command very well. And repeated comments from loved ones or my own thoughts strangle my voice when I try now. But to hear your story and listen to your music has been a blessing. It has helped me find a little more confidence. I saw your AGT. Your such amazing person, writer and singer. If there’s anyone who can relate it’s me. I developed the same speech impediment when I was about 8 years old. I remember being so upset with myself because I couldn’t get words out. I knew what I wanted to say but I just couldn’t say it. Bless my mom bc she use to just tell me stop and think what your going to say then say it. Easier said than done. I too was instantly drawn to music and instruments when I found out I didn’t studder when I sang. I love your sound and type of music your drawn to. A mystical dreamy sound.
