Yeah this one is special. Gosh Ambrose is so special. This footage was part of a movie they put out called Chunky Shrapnel, it’s also an live album they released. They released Chunky for a limited time online during COVID. They re released it in select theaters in 2022, i saw it for the first time in theaters and it fucking rocked. It’s a lot of behind the scenes, Jason Galea surely had something to do with the movie because it was beautiful. The album shreds. It capture their 2019 sound and tour.
Knew you guys would love this one! He wrote it for his sister, who is Joeys partner. The accoustic version at the caverns is great to, he dedicates it to his dad who had recently passed

This song is from their 3rd album, Float Along - Fill Your Lungs from 2013. It's only Ambrose's 2nd song with King Gizzard, and he did a great job with it. One of his best vocal performances. I've always loved that 50s/60s soul type thing, my mom was always playing it when I was younger.
Also, sorry to say, but I'm not really a big fan of the AI visuals. The alien theming is cool though, always loved aliens.
Def has that old school vibe about it. 👍 I didn’t realize Ambrose joined the band late. And - Ai not for everyone. I get it. I’m excited about the creative possibilities, but also worried about its impact. Double edged swords are always the ones to be most worried about.
@@secondhandreactions I'm pretty sure Cookie and Ambrose were the last 2 members to join, and there is some footage of the band before they joined playing some really early songs, some of which haven't been released. They joined in 2011 though, not 2013. Ambrose's first Gizzard song was Cut Throat Boogie in 2012.
I'm thinking you guys will like the new new stuff from the next album they've started playing live... they definitely have more of a Murlocs vibe than anything Gizz has done before
