    This is a great tutorial! And the best part is that you were brave enough to include your mistakes. You might save some people's fingers by showing your mistakes with the tablesaw. Bravo dude this gets people building.

    I can't lie, the PVC pipe trick for laying out your radius was pretty damn slick. Im gonna have to build one. The natural cool jumps for my Rustler, end up being little bumps for my XMAXX. Takes a lot more to get it off the ground. Damn dude, that kick back was gnarly!! I bet that hurt like hell to bark a shin like that.

    Thanks for the getting a proper curve trick. I built a 20" × 4'×4' with a 45°lift after the transfer and I built a back flip wall on the back side of the ramp. Thanks man

    Hey man just want to thank you for your video. I'm a DIY disaster but my mates son watched your video and made me a primo plywood ramp. It jumps so nice and smooth. Now I can start working on my backflips with my Arrma Big Rock and Vorteks.

I had a pretty good idea of what needed to be done when I was helping my daughter build her rc launch ramp but your video added some awesome tips like magic ratio, pvc curve, fitting both pieces on the same cut etc. We just finished painting and she is way excited to send it! Thanks again!

    Like to see some 6s rigs fly off that bad boy! Beautiful ramp only downside is moving it around lol like to see a collapsable ramp for traveling bashing on the go. Definitely will use that pvc idea for the perfect launch. Could make a perfect kicker with that method!

  • @jfolck1886
    @jfolck1886 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I've already made a ramp but I want to make a bigger one because the one I made was too narrow. Coming from a carpenter here, if you ran you the luaan plywood the other direction, it would be easier to flex and you could do it in one piece. Nice ramp! I'm heading out to the garage to make one now.

    Great ramp. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this already but you need a riving knife on that table saw. Keep pushing with your 2 hands will eventually make the left bit bind to the blade and this time your face will be right above it.

    Brotha ALWAYS hold the right side that is against the fence! As soon as i saw you hooks the left side I knew that was gonna cause a bind and kickback. But don't beat yourself up too bad, I'm a contractor and had a kickback last week being lazy and doing a cross cut when I should've just used my jigsaw.

    Built my first ramp tonight following your video. Thanks man 👍 can’t wait to paint it and put the finishing touches on 😎 I’m gonna be adding holes in the side for rope handles to carry it easier. I made mine 42” long x 22” tall x 36” wide. I have a feeling I’m going to be making a few more of these in the near future

    • @lantalife
      @lantalife ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking about transportation of this heavy ramp and thought you could get caster wheels and mount them to the back so you can just lift the low side and the wheels would hit the ground and you can roll it!

    • @lantalife
      @lantalife ปีที่แล้ว

      Mount your rope to one of the cross bars underneath so you can tuck it under when using it and pull it out and drag the ramp when its time to put it away.

    Sorry exo, I hate negative Nancy’s, but..
    Quite a few of us don’t have the extra/ scrap pipes.. space is at a premium.. home work is at a minimum.. love your videos and your happyness..
    Just a thought.. a string (I know won’t work) or something. Or the proper math.. rather than relying on scraps of home Reno’s..
    I’d personally love a condominium/apartment version wher it can fold up or something
    (I have picknic table that fold in half and still useful as half table w bench.)
    Just a thought
    But moreover Thankyous for the content and your joy that come through to make em special

    As someone totally naive to woodworking (but wanting to try this nonethelesss), can you please tell me exactly what kind of material the "cheap wood sheeting" is for the ramp? I'd watched some other videos making ramps where they suggested using multiple layers for that main part of the ramp, whereas yours does not, and so I just want to make sure I get the right stuff. Thanks in advance! :D
