The Latin (actually old Italian) means "Praise be to the stars" or "Praise him to the stars".
The Shakespear quote is what was inscribed on a brass plaque affixed to the urn in which Eugene Merle Shoemaker's ashes were carried to the moon on the Lunar Prospector mission and buried by impact into the bottom of the crater at the lunar south pole which bears his name. He rests there in deep shade as the crater floor is never illuminated by sunlight, but has the earth on the horizon of his burial site so is in "eternal earthrise".
He is the only person ever to have been buried on a celestial body other than earth, and the only person to have had a space burial by a non-commercial service (others have paid vast sums to be shot into deep space, with no intended target.
He earned this honour by being the father of exo-geology, discovering dozens of impact craters on earth which had previously been thought to be extinct volcanos, discoverer of many celestial objects including co-discoverer with his wife and David Levy of the famous Shoemaker-Levy-9 comet which collided with Jupiter in July 1994 and which was widely televised.
But he was at one time slated to be the first civilian to set foot on the moon, and was initially accepted onto the astronaut program. He was then diagnosed with Addisons disease, and was grounded, but chose not to reveal it to his training cohort and completed the full course with them so as not to disrupt their training, then went on to assist in training another group of astronauts.
He said the greatest regret of his life was not being able to go and tap his own geologist's hammer on the moon.
This song is Nightwish's Eulogy to him, and it is brilliant.
I've listened to it dozens, maybe hundreds, of times, and it wets my cheeks every single time.
Two or three other Nightwish songs almost require some prior research to understand and get the most out of - "The Poet and The Pendulum" and "The Greatest Show On Earth", along with "Master Passion Greed", and the Nightwish Army will be delighted to help with them.
Nearly all Nightwish songs have some nuggets in the lyrics though, so it is rarely a waste researching them. Others have a backstory which is just nice to know.

      Yeah, nice done!
Maybe it dosen't make such a difference. But just to be precise: The latin part is "ad astra". "Laudato si" is the old italian. So it's 2 languages.

I think Troy Donockley, the multi- instrumentalist and singer, sings the male voice.

Yes, Troy sings the male voice but Marco also sings. If you have stereo headphones you can hear Troy on the middle, Marco on left and Floor on the right.

As already pointed out Troy is the male lead here. Also the shakespeare quote is read by Tuomas wife Johanna.
Check out Lifetime of Adventure by Tuomas with Johanna singing. Its beautiful.

Troy sounds most prominently yes, but also Marko and Floor are there too. Amazing performance by all of them.

All I can say is, anyone who doesnt feel goosebumps hearing Floor's voice, ain't human, because they have no soul.
Floor gives me goosebumps and tears in this song, every time, because of her operatic singing. It is a balm to the soul, IMHO.
By the way, Gracie, while it may not have Floor singing, check out the _Nature_ side of Human :||: Nature. It is entirely written by Tuomas, and the end of that side is music that has a quote from Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot, narrated by Geraldine Butler, a British voice actress. If you've ever heard Two Steps From Hell, she narrates things for that musical group from time to time.

In the encyclical Laudato Si ', Pope Francis calls on' all people of good will 'to deal with the Earth and the poor with respect and reverence. The turnaround called for by the Pope is drastic: economics, politics, society, yes also the church, must be aimed at preserving creation, improving the living conditions of the weakest and the well-being of the generations to come.
